Providing and applying tack coat using hot straight run bitumen of grade 60/70 (VG 20) including heating the bitumen, spraying the bitumen mechanically / manually, cleaning and preparing the existing road surface as per specifications On bituminous surface @ 0.50 kg / sqm.

Providing and applying tack coat with Cationic Bitumen Emulsion of approved grade conforming to IS: 8887-1978 on the prepared surface cleaned with Hydraulic broom, moistening the surface including cost and carriage of emulsion, hire charges of machinery and labour, cost of fuel and lubricants all complete as per Clause 503 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (i) On Bituminous Surface. (Using Bitumen Emulsion at the rate of 0.20 to 0.30 kg per sqm.)

Note:- 1. Unit rate quoted by the contractor include for provision of red signals to keep off trafic from work. cleaning road surface and working during odd hours when trafic is light. 2. The line marking shall stand out boldly and solidly without showing any signs of scrach marks or suefaces underneath, if necessary the surface shall be remarked after removal of existing treatment untill the desired result is obtained.

Providing and laying Bitumen Penetration Macadam with hard stone aggregate of quality, size and grading as specified, with bitumen of suitable penetration grade, including required key aggregate as specified, spreading coarse aggregate with the help of self propelled/ tipper tail mounted aggregate spreader and applying bitumen by a pressure distributor and then spreading key aggregate with the help of aggregate spreader complete, including consolidation with road roller of minimum 8 to 10 tonne capacity to achieve specified values of compaction and surface accuracy : a) For 50 mm compacted thickness using coarse aggregate of size 50-20 mm graded @ 0.60 cum per 10 sqm key aggregate of size 12.5 mm graded @ 0.15 cum per 10 sqm. With paving asphalt grade VG - 10 @ 50 kg/ 10 sqm.
