Excavating trenches of required width for pipes, cables etc. i/c excavation for sockets depth upto 1.50 m i/c getting out the excavated materials, returning the soil as required in layers not exceeding 20 cm. in depth i/c consolidating each deposited layer by ramming, watering etc. and disposing of surplus excavated soil as directed, within lead of 50 m. The Contractor has to detect different utilities like sewer line, water supply line, electric cable, telephone cable, gas pipe line etc. using utility detecting machine before start of excavation and shall start excavation only after getting permission of Engineer-in-Charge. Pipes, cables etc. exceeding 300 mm dia but not exceeding 600 mm dia. (DSR-18, I.No.-2.13.1.3/P-75)

Engagement of labour for maintenance of sewerage system i/c removal of blockage, cleaning of manholes, removal of silt from manholes to the dumping ground etc. All complete as per direction of Engineer in Charge i/c (2x12x25 days per month).
