Loading, Transportation, Unloading at site, Laying, Testing and Commissioning of PVC insulated & Sheathed, armoured control cables of following sizes in built-in trenches, on walls, poles and through embedded pipes including supply of GI spacer, clamps etc and as per the detailed specification. (Refer Sec VI, Clause No.3) (Note: Cable will be issued free of cost by the department)

2.6.1:Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as directed by Engineer-in-charge.All kinds of soil

Disconnecting and removing the old/damaged LT aluminium cable of size 240 sqmm × 3 core, PVC insulated, PVC sheathed, armoured, 1100 V grade conforming to reputed/standard make equivalent to IS standards. Carefully removing the existing lugs/thimbles, clamps and cable support brackets over an approximate length of 50 m along with extracting the cable from cable ducts & clamps after removing the ducts and disposal of the same outside the pump house. After removal, a new armoured aluminium cable of the 240 sqmm × 3/3.5 core and specification shall be laid and aligned through the existing trench/duct with proper dressing, spacing and mechanical protection. Both ends of the new cable shall be provided with heavy-duty aluminium compression thimbles and terminated using hydraulic crimping tools. Termination at the LT panel side shall be done with double-hole thimbles, nuts, bolts and washers, while the LRS side shall be terminated with gland plates, brass compression glands and fire-resistant insulating tape. The cable armour shall be earthed at both ends using a 50 sq mm GI earth strip securely soldered or clamped to the main Earthing system. After completion of laying and termination, the cable shall be tested for continuity, insulation resistance and high-voltage withstand test in accordance with IS standards. The Job also includes the P/F of PVC sheathed, un-armoured, multi-strand copper conductor cables of 1100/660 V grade conforming to IS specifications, comprising 6 sq mm × 3 core copper conductor cable of 80 m length and 4 sq mm × 3 core copper conductor cable of 175 m length in place of the old damaged ones. Disconnecting the 33/.433KV main line. and the bus strips from the phase and neutral connections and thereafter dismantling one by one various components fitted on the 7 no’s copper rod viz a viz check nut, Brass washers, Brass ring, Rubber washer, Rubber bonded gaskets and porcelain bushes so as to replace the damaged washers 42mm dia 7 no’s, damaged Rubber Bonded Gaskets and damaged Porcelain Bushes 3 no’s. Providing and fitting of new rubber washers of good quality Neoprene rubber new gaskets cut to requisite sample sizes from rubber bonded sheet of good quality of thickness 8mm and new porcelain bush as per sample The job involves extraction of damaged /burnt bus bars & then shifting them to workshop. Fabrication & fitting of 3 no new rectangular solid aluminium bus bars strips of required size 100mm x 6mm x 3657.6mm long & repairs to remaining 3 no bus bar by way of cutting the damaged and burnt with the new fabricated portion & thereafter fitting pieces upto required size & length. Drilling of holes on both side of the bus bars with providing/ fitting of new nuts/bolts & washers etc. Fitting of new/repaired bus bars at site with proper alignment Assembling the bus bar duct by providing & fitting of new nut/bolts & washers Job also involves cleaning the bush rods of all the 4 no phases of 2.5 MVA electric transformer unit no.2 with good quality cleaning agent & then making of all the power connections & then testing it on load. Complete job including cost of material, tools & tackles, labour to & fro carriage charges.
