Providing Water proofing treatment to ground and first floor rooms in the periyar hostel
Supplying and fixing in positon Colour Indian Water Closet (Oriya type) of size 580 x 440mm colour glazed earthern ware of approved quality and brand with "P" or "S" trap conforming to BIS with sand cushion and forming flooring alround the closet using 40mm broken brick jelly in lime concrete 1:2:5 (One lime, Two sand and Five brick jelly) 100mm thick and finishing the top to the required slope and including giving necessary connection to PVC pipes (including the cost of 110mm dia PVC pipe for a length of 600mm) by dismantling brick masonry wall / reinforced cement concrete roof / floor slab and making good the dismantled portion to the original condition with leakages etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the University Engineer. (The water closet should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works).

M&L of water proofing treatment to non-accessible roof slab with APP based modified polymeric membrane as per manufacturer's instructions with following course of description below :- (i) Applying a priming one coat of bituminious primer evenly @ 0.30 Kg/Sqm till the surface is properly impregnated. (ii) Providing APP based 5 layer polymeric membrane minimum weighting 3.60 Kg/Sqm and minmum 3mm thick reinforced with polyester non-woven fabric matt (weight not less than 150 gms/Sqm) centre core laid on primed surface by forced applications as per the manufacturer's instructions with side over lap of 75mm and end overlap of 100mm. All overlap joints shall br sealed thoroughly by thermo fusing both the membrane layer (torching overlap by propane or butane gas torch) and sealing it with the help of hot trowel. The overlap joints shall be made as a monolithic layer. (iii) Apply two coat of bituminous aluminium paint @ 0.20 Kg/Sqm over APP Membrance. (Note: the work in respect of water proofing treatment shall be carried out only by authorized/approved applicator of the manufacturer/firms of app membrane. The contractor shall submitted 10 year company back warranty before claiming payments complete all as specified and directed. (Note : The work is required to be carried out at G+3 building. The contractor shall make arrangement of scoffolding , safety & security of workers and arrangement for approach to roof. The rates quoted shall deemed to be included for these items.)
