Providing water proofing treatment to the Terrace over RCC precast slab roofing area at an Elevation upto 15.0M from FFL, using Sika Wp SHIELD 4P 4mm & WP SHIELD 4 PM 4mm thick/Fosrco or equivalent as per specification, the rate includes applying bituminous primer over surface @ 0.4 kg/sqm and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. The procedure for carrying out water proofing shall be followed as described below. a) when the entire surface is water-tight, dry and moisture free, one coat of bituminous primer shall be applied over surface @ 0.4 kg/sqm and 1 st layer 4mm thick, polymer reinforecd APP membrane Fosrco/Sika WP SHIELD 4P or equivalent shall be laid with 100mm overlapping by torch on application when the primed surface is tacky and as per the manufacturer's recommendation. b) The second layer of 4mm thick, polymer reinforcement APP membrane Fosrco/Sika WP SHIELD 4 PM or equivalent shall be laid with 100mm overlapping by torch- on application when the primed surface is tacky and as per the manufacturer's recommendations.Note: I) The treatment should be done by an agency specialised in the job having sufficient knowledge of water proofing treatment. Suggested vendors: (1) M/s. Fosroc Chemicals (2) M/s. Sika India Pvt.Ltd. Chemicals (3) BASF chemicals.II) Ten years guarantee shall be given by the contractor in the prescribed form of the department for the above water proofing treatment work.III) All necessary safety permits should be obtained from PRP safety division as admissible.IV) The work described above is to be executed at a height of 15m and necessary lifting arrangements for material and men movement should be arranged by the contractor by his own cost.
