Supplying, replacement, installation, testing and commissioning of Mechanical Seals, Gear Box and Couplings of centrifuge and thickener units of the Sludge Handling System at 20 MGD Water Treatment Plant, Okhla Water Works, including dismantling of existing worn-out components compatible heavy-duty mechanical seals suitable for continuous operation in sludge service, complete with seal faces, springs, O-rings, sleeves and housings, ensuring leak-proof and reliable performance under design pressure and rotational speed. The item further includes supply and replacement of heavy-duty industrial gear box with suitable reduction ratio, torque capacity and service factor, complete with hardened gears, shafts, bearings, lubrication system and mounting accessories, compatible with the existing drive arrangement of centrifuge/thickener, including alignment with motor and driven equipment. The work also covers supplying and fixing of flexible couplings (pin-bush / gear / grid type as required), including hubs, bushes, bolts and keys, suitable for transmitting the required torque while accommodating minor misalignment and damping vibrations. The rate shall include all labour, tools and tackles, dismantling, re-assembly, precision alignment, grouting if required, lubrication, trial run, testing, commissioning and performance verification, complete in all respects to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
