Laying, erection and commissioing of above ground piping for Fire Water Services IS3589 pipes: Taking delivery of pipes, pipe fittings, carbon steel flanges (SORF/ WNRF), spiral wound metallic gaskets & fasteners from designated location within station premises, transporting the same to site, fabrication and erection of above ground piping including cutting, edge preparation, bending, threading, lining up, welding of SORF flanges on both sides of the pipe section of length not more than 12 m & fittings, and erecting pipe sections with SORF end connections and pipe fittings, flanges, elbows, equal and reducing outlet tees, concentric/eccentric reducers, drain funnels, vent pipes and tapping for instruments such as pressure gauges, thermal relief valves, thermowells etc., installing above ground at all elevations connecting with equipment nozzles, valves, vessels, in line instruments etc., welded / SORF / WNRF flange connected and threaded pipe line of different pressure ratings, flushing pipes by water after cleaning by compressed air, tie-in, final cleaning-up and dispoal of wastes and surpluses including providing all inputs such as labour, material, equipments and consumables necessary to perform the work (other than those specifically under taken by the owner in this contract). Completing the work in all respects in accordance with the drawings, specifications and instructions of the Site Engineer / EIC.

Laying, erection and commissioing of under ground piping for Fire Water Services IS3589 pipes : Taking delivery of pipes, pipe fittings, steel flanges( WNRF/SORF), spiral wound metallic gaskets & fasteners from designated location within station premises transporting the same to site, fabrication and erection of underground piping including cutting, edge preparation, bending, threading, lining up and welding of SORF flanges on both sides of the pipe section of length not more than 12 m & fittings, excavating, trenching in all kind of soil to specific depths (pipe top surface should be 1.5 m from ground level) as indicated in drawings/ as per Instruction and and erecting pipe sections with SORF end connections and pipe fittings such as elbows, equal and reducing outlet tees, concentric/eccentric reducers, drain funnels, vent pipe and tapping for instrument such as pessure gauges, thermal relief valves, thermowells etc., underground at elevations indicated in the drawing connecting with equipment nozzles, valves, vessels, in-line instruments etc.,hydrostatic testing of each section to the specified pressure, draining the water, tie-in, back filling, restoration of site final cleaning up and disposal of water and surpluses, providing all inputs such as labour, materials equipment and consumable necessary to perform the work (other than those specifically undertaken to be supplied by the owner under the contract). Completing the work in all respects in accordance with the drawings, specifications and instructions of the Site Engineer / EIC.(coating of underground pipe to be done as per separate SOR)

Preparatory work for blinding/ Deblinding at Valve for positive isolation and flushing of hydrocarbon line The job includes opening of valves flanges, blinding / deblinding by bolting / debolting etc. fabrication of tail blinds, cover plate connections fittings etc., elbow reversing, making hose connections and all other arrangements as required for flushing the lines including wedge opening, dewatering after flushing ,decoking, isolation etc.,boxing up the lines withremoval blindfrom valves & with new gaskets and complete the job with supply of tools, tackles,labours and consumables etc.as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. (Plate for fabrication of blind shall be arranged by Contractor, however, cost shall be paid under structural item SOR)

Cold Cutting Cold cutting and retrieval of pipe section including Cutting, grinding, bevelling of dismantled pipe section and shifting in pipe stack yard/ scrap yard /other location as directed by Site Engineer/EIC , by cutting at sutiable length by suitable safe method as approved by EIC/ Site Engineer, removal of pipes from trench, loading, unloading and transportation to owner's Installation with all labours, vehicles, tools and tackles, equipment for completion of Job and as directed by ElC / SIte Engineer.(EA=Number of cold cutting)

Salvaging of bend/elbow retrived from dismantled piping work: Cutting, grinding, bevelling of dismantled bend/ elbow of pipe section at 5 m height / 5 m depth on sleepers/ pipe racks, sand bag support for making bend reusable condition as per instruction of Engineer-in-charge complete with supply of Materials, consumables, tools & tackles, labours, contractor's supervision etc. (inch Dia means Pipe Dia . Measurement of inch dia will be = No of Joint * Pipe/elbow OD in inch.)
DYE PENETRATION TEST FOR PIPING WORKS Performance of dye penetration test including supply of all necessary materials, penetrant, developer etc. along with all equipment’s, labour, for carrying out the work as per specification & direction of engineer-in-charge at all elevations. Test has to be carried out in all metallurgy the test has to carry out on all schedules of pipes. RADIOGRAPHY OF PIPING WORKS Performance of radiographic inspection on all type & sizing of piping/pipefittings in position at all heights inclusive of providing sources, film, chemicals, & all necessary equipment’s, consumables etc. complete in all respect as per specification & instruction of the Engineer-in-Charge. (inch Dia means Pipe Dia i.e 16 inch , 12 inch, 4 inch etc) Measurement of inch dia will be = No of Joint * Pipe Dia in inch.
HYDROTESING OF PIPING WORKS Hydrostatic testing of pipelines at the specified pressure including blinding/ deblinding, fabrication & fixing of testing connections, pressure gauge installation. Hose pipe connection & making all other arrangements as required & dewatering, flushing & boxing up after fixing proper gaskets with supply of all material, labour, tools & tackles, instruments & instruction of the Engineer-in-Charge.The job has to be carried out at all elevations.
Priming & Painting with synthetic enamel paint of required colour : Cleaning, removing dry paint, oil or grease, and the like by scrapping, sand papering, wire brush etc. and preparing the surface complete followed by two or more coats synthetic enamel paint over an under coat of suitable shade with primer of Berger/Asian/ Shalimar or equivalent approved brand and manufacture. The colour code followed will be as per as per OISD/ PNGRB/ Statutory guide lines, including supply of all materials like primer paint, labour, consumables etc. to complete the work as per specification and direction of EIC.
Coating & wraping : Coating on pipe/ sleeving/bend section pipeline by owner supplied of Cold applied tape material- 3ply/2ply type tape, primer, putty including wrapping machines as per specifications, application of Cold applied tape as per specifications /directions comprising of following activities/ jobs:- (i) Removing of old coat & wrap with scrappers using wooden/ brass hammers etc. (ii) Cleaning the pipe by sand blasting as per Sa 2 or 2 ½ or St 2/st and instructions of Site Engineer / Engineer-in- Charge. (iii) Applying one coat of liquid adhesive fast drying synthetic primer over the cleaned surface with the help of good approved quality bristle type painting brush / spray. (iv) Applying first layer of 3ply cold applied tape(Inner) for corrosion protection on the surface of primed pipe after touch dry with minimum overlap of 50% as recommended by the manufacturer followed by another second layer of 2 ply cold applied tape(outer) coating or as recommended by the manufacturer. (v) Testing of applied coating before backfilling : Contractor shall carry out following testing (a) Holiday testing as per NACE RP 01 88-90 and ASTM G62 (b) Adhesion test and Electrical Inspection tests shall be carried out as per stipulations in AWWA-203 and relevant DIN standards. The supply of testing instruments such as UT gauge, Profile Guage, Coating thickness meter, Holiday detector, Peel test instruments etc shall be in scope of contractor.

Demolishing P.C.C. work in existing building structures at all heights and depths using pnuematic tools or as approved by Engineer-in- charge including following all safety requirements, ensuring adequate precaution to the neighbourhood structures & equipment, putting necessary cover , and disposal of unserviceable material within station area limit all complete as directed by Site Engineer. Note: 1. Dismantling shall be allowed during day shift only & prior permission for the same shall be obtained. 2. Providing of necessary covers/barricades around the work area is to be done prior to dismantling operations.

Providing of necessary covers/barricades around the work area is to be done prior to dismantling operations. 3.Cutting of all reinforcement shall be done using hack saw or chisiel or any other method as approved by Engineer-in-charge.
Manual excavation in earth & Backfilling required Qty: Earth work through manual excavation In all kinds of soil except hard rock requiring blasting for foundation trenches, upto any depth Including trimming of Sides of the trenches, dressing, ramming and levelling the bottom of the trenches correct to level. grade etc Including bailing out of water, if any, complete in all respects Inclusive of cost of all labour, materials, tools, tackles etc as per direction of Site Engineer/engineer-In-Charge. Contractor shall make approach road for movement of his equipment, manpower, pipes etc without any extra cost to IOCL.
Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for : Foundations, footings, bases of columns, etc. for mass concrete.
PCC work, 1:2:4 : Providing and laying in position Plain Cement Concrete in foundation, floor, bed of drain etc including mixing, ramming, compacting, curing , centering & shuttering all complete as per specifications and directions of EIC. in mix 1:2:4 with 20 mm nominal size stone aggregate.
Supply of structural items, fab. & erction : Supply of structural items, fab. & erction : Supplying at site, steel structural items such as bars, MS gratings, chequered plates,MS/CS plates, angles beams, channels, commercial quality heavy pipes CI rollers, bolts, nuts, washers, grouting bolts, padding plates etc.; fabrication and erection of supports for pipes and valves, fabrication & erection of platforms, Gate , walkways, monkey ladder and stairways etc, as directed, cleaning priming of finished structures including providing all inputs such as labour, materials equipments, consumables etc necessary to perform the work and completing the work in all respects in accordance with drawings, specifications and instructions of site-engineer engineer-in-Charge. The cost is inclusive of scaffolding required for fabrication & erection of temporary support as required. (NOTE : Unit ""TO"" stands for ""Metric Tonnes"").
SUPPORT : Foundation for pipe support as per given drawing no. STD-539 (SH 1 OF 2) & STD-363-04 SH-1 OF 3 for support inclding roller 65 mm dia. X330 mm length and welding by flat for keeping roller in position. All civil Work including excavation, RCC, PCC, Structural work, consumables, labours, supervision etc is included in this item.
