HIGH ABRASION RESISTANT COATING: The work involves providing and applying a high abrasion-resistant protective coating of 15 mm thickness on the prepared masonry/concrete surface.The Scope of Work involves the surface shall be thoroughly cleaned using a high-pressure water jet to remove dust, laitance, weak particles, and contaminants. Ensure that the surface is sound, free from grease, oil, and loosely bound material. Application of High Abrasion Resistant Coating. After cleaning, apply a ready-to-use, pre-packed, single-component, polymer-modified, fibre-reinforced, high-abrasion-resistant polymeric mortar (M/s. Confix India or equivalent).The material shall be applied to a uniform thickness of 15 mm by one of the following methods: Spray application using wet or dry GUNMIX technology, or Manual application by hand trowelling, as per site requirements. Material Properties (Repair Mortar / Coating): Compressive Strength:43.5 N/mm² at 7 days , 57.3 N/mm² at 28 days, Dynamic Elastic Modulus: 27,500 N/mm², Water Penetration: Less than 1 mm at 5 bar pressure (EN 12390-8), Abrasion Resistance: Grade A6 (EN 13813), Chemical Resistance: Very high sulphate and chloride resistance; resistant to environments with pH range from 14 down to 3.3. Durability: Impermeable to water, resistant to continuous water exposure, yet open to water vapour diffusion. Standards Compliance: Class R4 according to EN 1504, Part 3. Finishing and Curing: The finished surface shall be dense, smooth, and free from voids or honeycombing. Curing shall be carried out strictly as per manufacturer’s recommendations to ensure strength and durability. Rate to Include: Cost of all materials including high abrasion resistant mortar and consumables.Hire charges of all required tools, tackles, spraying equipment, mixing equipment, and accessories. Provision of scaffolding, working platforms, and safety arrangements. Labour charges for surface preparation, application, finishing, and curing. All incidental works necessary to complete the coating in all respects as directed by the Departmental Officers.
SURFACE HARDNER COATING: This item consists of supplying and applying a two-component, water-based epoxy resin (of Confix India make or an approved equivalent) over the hardened coating surface to enhance the mechanical strength and chemical resistance of the substrate and pointing materials.The epoxy system shall have the following properties:Density: 1.05 kg/dm³,Viscosity: 250 mPa•s,Application Time: 45 to 60 minutes,Full Chemical & Mechanical Resistance: Achieved after 7 days of curing, Coverage: Approximately 250 g/m² per coat, The coating shall be applied uniformly by brush, roller, or spray, ensuring complete and even coverage without streaks, pinholes, or missed areas. Surface preparation must be carried out prior to application to ensure that the surface is sound, clean, and free from dust, grease, and loose particles.The cost of the work includes Supply of epoxy resin and hardener components Mixing, handling, and application of the coating Tools, tackles, scaffolding, and working platforms, Labor charges and all incidental expenses. The work shall be carried out in accordance with standard specifications, and as directed by the departmental officers.
