Supply, installation, test and commissioning of chemical gel earthing ,dual pipe system technology having earth resistance <3 ohm comprises of not less than 3.0 mtr long earthing electrode made of two co-axial MS pipe duly hot dip galvanised wire lead terminal of 30x10 mm size at top of electrode, minimum dia of outer pipe will be 50 mm and minimum dia of inner pipe will be 25 mm to achieve desired earth results, joined together to enhancing the service life and performance of overall earthing system. cavity inbetween the co-axial pipes duly filled with crystalline conductive compounds for current for current dissipiation and enhance anti corrosive properties, the cavity arround the electrode duly filled with back fill compounds (BFC) as per IS-3043, sufficent water shall be poured into the earth pit untill the BFC take the form of paste/gel, BFC must have hygroscopic property to retain moisture for longer time to reduce earthing resistance of electrode and to provide constant output, BFC must be filled such that with no air gaps in the filled area complete earthing must be free from periodic watering or any recharge during its entire life and should be remain effective in all types of soils including dry soils and rocky conditions, electrodes top terminal duly connected with earth strip with SS nuts, bolts, washers, etc elctrodes top terminal alongwith earthing strips duly prtected with factory made earth pit and pit cover made of light weight polymer, having locking arrangements with and including making bore hole of desired size in any type of soil surface complete and all as directed. Note :- 1. The drawings/design data of gel earthing to achieve earth resistance <3 ohms as per ground conditions, shall be approved by accepting authority before placement of order. 2. EARTHWORK EXCAVATION & SITE CLEARANCE: Dredging in all types of soils including overburden, dense to very dense clay , silt, sand removal of surface boulder upto bottom of Deck slab whereever shown and necessary with suitable dredgers and equipment to the required lines and levels and slopes including removal and transportation of the dredged meterials and dumping the same in the designated off shore dumping areas in open sea having more than 100m depth within the parameters of 2.3 Nautical miles NE of Ross Island and 2.3 Nautical miles East of North Bay light (Approx location 11 Deg 41.5 N & 092 Deg 47.5E ) all as shown and as directed. The unit rate shall include mobilization, demobilization of plant equipment , surveys during progress of work , rail dragging of the dredged areas to specified levels after completion of dredging , operation and maintanance all plants and equipments and crafts man power and labour charges cost of materials fuel and taxes insurance etc as required and as directed.

In case the soil stratum at the founding level is loose the Engineer-in-charge may direct the contractor to carryout additional length of boring and payment for such additional work shall also be made under this item. 3. The sample of bored materials at regular interval shall be collected and produced for the verification of the Engineer-in-charge or his representative at no extra cost. In the event of any dispute about the type of strata bored the samples so collected shall be referred to an authorised laboratory / agency report indentified by the Engineer-in-charge and the decision of GE based on such authorised laboratory / agency report is final and binding on both the parties. However the cost of such testing shall be borne by the contractor including transportation of material. Boring through Rock strata using hydraulic pilling rig by diamond cutter etc. with supporting eqipment and removal of excavated materials with all lift and transported and disposed at location upto a distance not exceeding 1KM and as as directed by GE comp for 800mm Dia piles Note :- 1. If the boring tool encounters rock at an elevation higher than the termination level of the pile indicated in the drawing then the boring shall be continued into the rock from where the boring tool encounters rock first to a depth 2. In case the soil stratum at the founding level is loose the Engineer-in-charge may direct the contractor to carryout additional length of boring and payment for such additional work shall also be made under this item. 3. The sample of bored materials at regular interval shall be collected and produced for the verification of the Engineer-in-charge or his representative at no extra cost. In the event of any dispute about the type of strata bored the samples so collected shall be referred to an authorised laboratory / agency report indentified by the Engineer-in-charge and the decision of GE based on such authorised laboratory / agency report is final and binding on both the parties. However the cost of such testing shall be borne by the contractor including transportation of material.
