MAINTENANCE OF RUNWAY LIKE PME, PATCH

Material and labour for preparing old black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with using air blower to remove all loose dirt etc complete and applying evenly a coat of cold Polymer Modified emulsion (PME) by using mechanical sprayer, spraying of total cold liquid PME 0.5 Litre per sqm (undiluted) for one coat with mineral filler as recommended by manufacture of PME(after diluting with water), each coat diluted with in the ratio 1:1(PME:Water) and ensure uniform finish on applied area Complete all as per manufacturer instruction and all as specified and directed. Make; Polymer Modified Emulsion(PME) Brand name: EMULCOTE of M/s L N Petro chem pvt ltd/ HINMAT PLUS(Polymer Modified Emulsion) of Hindustan Coals Pvt Ltd. Notes:- The tender shall take into consideration the following points while coating the rates for this item: (a) The work shall be carried out by the manufacturer or his authorised applicator only. (b) Care shall be taken to fill wider gaps/cracks with 0.60 mm to 2.36 mm size coarse sand as per manufacture's instructions. (c) A Performance guarantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of the work as specified. (d) Contractor shall carryout friction test at regular interval as directed using CFME (Continuous Friction Measuring Equipment). The test is to be got done from Government Engineering College/Bangalore University. Nothing extra shall be payable on this account, the quoted rates are deemed to be inclusive for carrying out this test also. The test using CFME will be conducted on the surface of application of PME before and after application of PME and certificate towards this will be submitted for the same. (e) Contractor should take all precaution to cover and protect the Airfield lights falling in the area of work and make good the same in case of damage. (f) Care shall be taken to protect the existing painted lines/marking in the airfield to avoid splashes/spillages of Emulsion during application.

Material and Labour for one coat of painting lines, dashes, arrows,letters etc on bituminous/ concrete surfaces exceeding 10 cm width, with approved water base paint of colour white, Golden yellow, deep orange, PO red and black as per the requirement in the Air field including preparation of surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Note : Coverage area of paint shall be 10 Sqm / Ltr adding 10-15% of potable water (Runway surfaces) Make: APCOTRAK of Asian paints or equivalent in Berger/Shalimar

Material and Labour for one coat of painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc on bituminous/ concrete surfaces exceeding 10 cm width, with approved water base paint of colour white, Golden yellow, deep orange, PO red and black as per the requirement in the Air field including preparation of surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Note : Coverage area of paint shall be 6 Sqm / Ltr adding 10-15% of potable water (Dispersals and taxitracks) Make: APCOTRAK of Asian paints or equivalent in Berger/Shalimar
