M&L for Checking of Earth Resistance of Chemical / conventional Earthing to maintaining the Register here-in-after approximate 750 Nos location complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. NOTE :- (a) Contractor will Check Earth Resistance appx 750 Nos per month and the same will be recorded in Register duly signed by user and the same will be put up to the Engineer-in-Charge on the last day of every month failing which penal recovery at the rate of Rs.40.00 each earthing shall be affected. (b) Earth Resistance Tester will be provided by the Contractor. (Tester should be caliberated from Authorised Company). (c) Contractor will be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits at his own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. However, only Water will be provided by the Department. (d) Checking of Earth Pits existing and improve it by watering/adding a layer of Salt/ Magnesium Sulphate/Charcoal, etc till desired value of resistance. (e) Contractor will be responsible for marking of Earth Check date and due date on existing Plate with paint as specified by Engineer-in-Charge. (f) Contractor shall arrange 01 x Electrician and 01 x helper for testing of earthing resistance as when required by department and as directed. This requirement shall be over and above of 750 Nos test as mentioned above in Note Ser No (a). The cost of labour shall be deemed to be included in quoted rate.

M&L for Repairing Damaged Earth Pit/Chamber in Cement Concrete 1:3:6 type C-I 20 mm grade stone aggrigate as shown in Electrical Plate No.03 of MES Schedule Part-I including providing Pre-cast Cement Concrete 1:2:4 Type B1 of 350x350x50mm in size, including Funnel and cleaning the surrounding of Earth Pit Cover and pouring Salt Water to improve the desired value of resistance and measuring and recording the same in presence of user / Engineer-in-Charge, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs Pre-cast cement Cover in Cement Concrete 1:2:4 type B1of size 350x350x50mm, reinforced with 8mm dia bars @150mm c/c both ways, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in repairs Cement Concrete 1:2:4 ) type B1provided Around Earthing Pit having Top size 200x200mm bottom size 300x300mm having 150mm in height, size of PCC Plateform 900x900x100mm with fair finished Concrete Surfaces including necessary Formwork and Earth Work as required/ordered at Site including dismantling PCC, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Checking of any breaking in the Link of Earth Strip/Wire of Galvanised/ Copper/Aluminium any size and jointing them by or Brazing by using of nuts and bolts ,complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Taking out loose/displaced Serviceable Aluminium Strip/ GI Strip of any size and any description with complete all as specified and directed.

Fixing only aluminium strip 25X 3.mm with new saddles screws etc for roof conductor /down conductor upto test point above ground level by the serviceable strip obtain from above item No. 06 complete all as specified and directed. NOTE : All Joints should be joined by Brazing by using of nuts and bolts

Fixing only GI strip 32x6 mm upto test point above ground level serviceable strip with the brazing at the joint complete all as specified and directed. NOTE : All Joints should be joined by Brazing by using of nuts and bolts

S&F in repairs Aluminium Strip 25 x3 mm with Saddles and fixing Screws for Roof/ Earth Conductors and Down Conductors above Ground all Joints should be connected by Exothermic Welding or Brazing including taking down unserviceable Strip, complete all as specified and directed. S&F in repairs Test Point Terminal Block made of Gun Metal or Phosphorus Bronze size 75x75x25mm, drilled and screwed including 3 No. 8mm dia, 25mm long hexagonal Head Screw including taking down/out unserviceable Test Point Terminal Block, complete all as per specified and directed.

M&L for replacement of insulator (saddle) porcelain type for carrying earthing strip complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs Air Termination Single Pointed Aluminium Rod 12 mm dia, 300 mm long with GI pipe 40mm dia 1.5 Mtr length with Arrester Clamp 12mm dia made out of Aluminium/GI including provision of Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) Block 300x300x300mm (and necessary Fixing Arrangement at Roof all Joints should be connected by Exothermic Welding or Brazing including taking down unserviceable Air Termination, complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down and re-fixing in repairs for existing Air Termination rod Single Pointed Aluminium Rod any size dia and 300mm long with Galvanised Steel Tubing 40mm bore (dia), 1.50 Metre long, light grade including provision of Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) Block 300x300x300mm and necessary Fixing Arrangement at Roof, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE : If threaded of the GI Tubing is damaged then Contractor will be responsible for cutting of thread for fixing the GI Tubing.

S&F earthing pit identifier / marker for lightening arrester made of MS plate 3 mm dia thick oval size having major axis 30 cm & minor axis 20 cm mounted on 25 mm dia GI pipe medium grade project 60 cm above the ground and embeded suitably in concrete PCC 1:2:4 type B2 of size 20 cm x 20 cm x30 cm. The oval shape identifier & earthing pit cover shall be painted with two coat of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer and writing letter e.g. LA 1/10 on the plate and earth pit cover complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

The detail guidelines has been incorporated in the particular specification. Contractor to quote their rate accordingly

S&F in repairs arrester Clamp for Lighting Arrester of size 12 mm made out Aluminium/GI including taking down unserviceable Arrester Clamp, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for chemical earthing complete with plate 90x60cmx5mm thick copper plate electrode buried direct in ground vertically not less than 3.15 mtrs deep below ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 2.25 mtrs deep below ground level with connected to copper strip of size 32x6 mm as earthing lead by means of bolt nut and brazing , check nut and washer all as directed to test point including necessary excavation and earth work (in any type of strata ) and providing charcoal dust 250 Kgs, common salt 200 kgs , magnesium sulphate 100 kgs and all around the plate 15 CM depth and wide and up to 2 mtr height in continuous layers, balance pit will be filled with vegetable soil up to ground level including watering pipe GI medium grade of 20mm dia and 50 mm dia pipe medium grade for earth strip protection up to 7.5 mtr , PCC (1:3:6 ) type C1 chamber , cast iron chamber frame , heavy duty funnel and RCC pit cover complete all as specified and directed . Note:-(i) Copper strip 32X6 mm upto 7.5 mtr length shall be deemed to include in this items rate. (ii) On testing after completion if the desired value of earth resistance is not obtained the earthing will be redone at no extra cost by the contactor.

M & L for Earthing complete with copper earth electrode 60×60cm ×3.15mm burried directly in ground vertically to depth not less than 2.25 m below normal ground level with top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 m below ground level connected to and including copper strip of size 20x3 mm by means of nut, bolt, check nut and washer etc made of copper alloy and connection to test point and earth dolly all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 SSR Part I 2009 and specified or indicated including excavation and earth work in any type of soil, (in any type of strata ) PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 in chamber, precast 50 mm thick in cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 with CI frame, funnel, GI Pipe 20 mm bore medium grade for watering and 40 mm bore GI Pipe middium grade for protection and test point complete all as specified and directed. Note:-(i) Copper strip 20 x 3 mm upto 7.5 mtr length shall be deemed to include in this items rate. (ii) On testing after completion if the desired value of earth resistance is not obtained the earthing will be redone at no extra cost by the contractor.

M&L for earthing complete as per electrical plate No. 03 of MES SSR Part-I with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60cmx60cmx6.0mm thick, buried directly vertically in ground in a pit depth not less than 2.25 metres below ground level with top edge of earth plate at a depth not less then 1.5 metre below normal ground level connected to and including galvanised iron or steel earth strip 25 mm x 4 mm by means of bolts, nuts check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel. Earthing strip shall be protected by galvanised iron or steel pipe 32mm bore light grade and connected to continuous earth wire on pole / test point. Watering pipe shall be 20 mm bore GI medium grade. The earthing shall be of inclusive of excavation & earth work in any type of soil, (in any type of strata ) charcoal, salt, funnel PCC pit and RCC cover complete all as specified & tested complete all as specified and directed. Note:-(i) Copper strip 20 x 3 mm upto 7.5 mtr length shall be deemed to include in this items rate.(ii) On testing after completion if the desired value of earth resistance is not obtained the earthing will be redone at no extra cost by the contractor.

Demolition of reinforced cement concrete of any description and in any position and in any depth complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soil/concrete debris exc 1.50Km but n.exc 5.0Km and depositing where directed.

M&L for Hardcore of broken stone of gauge n. exc 63mm, deposited spread and leveled in layers n exc 15 cm thick watered and rammed to a true surface complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cement concrete (1:4:8) type D-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation filling and mass concrete or in sub base of floors complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cement concrete work in pavement / hard - standing of flexural strength 40 Kg per sqm cm in field using 400 kg of cement per cubic metre, thickness of concrete 25cm or less complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for providing cement concrete (1:2:4), type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in lintels upto 1.50m clear span, cills steps, seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parpets and railing upto 60cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs , water troughs and the like including weathering , slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating including necessary form works etc complete all as specified and directed.

S & F SFRC (Steel fibre reinforced concrete) cover and frame (heavy duty HD-20 grade & Design) of any size and thickness of cover and frame confirming to IS-12592, fixed in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-0 (using 12.5 mm graded stone aggregate) all as directed. Note :- Thickness of manhole cover and frame shall be according to IS-12592 for HD-20 (Heavy Duty -20) grade and overall size of manhole cover with frame should be measured complete all as specified and directed.
