Construction of 21.00 km of Composite Geo-Tube Embankment in Dhemaji and Lakhimpur Subproject (Dhemaji District) Lot 2.

Filling of geo-tubes (25m long and 2.5m filled ht.) with sand by using mud pump as per drawing and technical specification while binding the tube with 9mm nylon rope to jati bamboo pegs of length 2m placed 2.5m c/c along both sides of the tube and at both ends to keep the tube in position during filling, as specified and directed, including all loading, unloading and handling charges and local carriage upto a distance of 250m, etc., complete as directed.

Earth work in embankment by tractor trailer carriage by Mechanical means with locally available ordinary/normal soil excluding sandy and rocky soil free from roots & vegetation and filling in uniform layers not exceeding 25 cm thick including ploughing or roughening or benching the seats, removing all debris, breaking clods up to 4cm cube, dressing as per design section and compaction with three wheel static roller of 80-100 KN capacity in layers not exceeding 30 cm in thickness and core cutter soil test at every layer and every 500m distance, etc. complete as directed. For initial Lead upto 1.00 km for all lifts. For beyond initial 1 Km & up to 10.00 Km & for all lifts

Turfing with grass sods of largest possible rectangles of 12 cm. minimum thickness placed closely including dressing earth pegging with Jati bamboo split, watering till the grass grows for a lead up to 90 m and all lifts, etc. complete as directed.

Obtaining and submission of copies of all consents, permits, clearances, no objection clearances or NOCs, tree cutting permissions, and other relevant permits from various authorities before the start of construction

Disposal of existing old geo-bags and other materials used as temporary anti-erosion and flood protection measures, and disposal of all solid wastes during construction to designated locations and/or use of local municipal services

Provision of all requisite facilities (i.e. drinking water supply, sanitation, domestic solid waste collection & disposal, fuel supply etc.) at construction camps. Ensuring rehabilitation of borrow areas and other impacted lands in line with WRD guidelines, and decommissioning of construction camp before handling over the subproject.

Traffic management at work sites (i.e. pavement markings, channelizing devices, arrow panels and warning lights) along with construction and/or strengthening of landing ghats for barges

Water sprinkling for dust suppression, barricading, temporary noise barriers, and provision of personal protective equipment (such as boots, life-saving-jackets, etc.)

Implementation of biodiversity action plan and other biodiversity conservation and mitigation measures
