Part A: -Civil works General Notes:- 1. Tenderers are advised to visit the site of work with prior permission of Engineer- in- Charge/ authorised representative to acquaint themselves with the nature and location of work before quoting tender. 2. Since the work is to be carried out in Hospital buildings which are occupied by Patients, health care workers etc the work shall be carried out with least disturbance to the occupants. 3. During execution of work all labourers, supervisors & engineers of contractors shall use personal protective equipments. Work execution without PPE's shall not be permited.BARC construction safety manual shall be followed during execution of works. 4. Any work activity shall be started at site with prior work permit issued by departmental safety officer/Engineer/Supervisor. 5. No debris shall be left over during the repair works under each item on any day. An area for 'Debris bins' will be identified on the request of contractor for collection of debris generated on day to day basis
Designing, supplying, fabricating, testing, transporting, handling and erecting at required positions and levels Structural Steel members for pre engineered building as per approved design and drawing including girders, steel beams,rafters, purlins, cleats, fixing accessories, connection fasteners, girts, wind bracings and all structural members required to support roofing, rain water gutters, lighting windows including epoxy painting and making provisions stated as below including all consumables. This shall comprise of the following : Primary members: Primary members such as transverse rigid frames, curved rafters and wind bracings, bearing frame rafters, supports for rain water gutters etc. using three plate technology or as per approved design (Using min 345 Mpa yield strength) Secondary Members: Secondary members such as purlins, girts, eaves, struts, wind bracing, flange bracings, base angles, clips, and other miscellaneous structural parts using cold rolled forming technology.(Using min 310 Mpa Yield strength) Connections: All field connections shall be bolted. primary field connections shall be bolted and shall conform to ASTM- A -325 and Secondary connections shall conform to ASTM- A -307. Provisions as shown in drawing for : a) Openings for windows, ventilators, etc. with suitable steel members or frames on all the sides of the opening. All fabricated structural steel shall be painted with epoxy protective paint of approved make minimum 2 coats and 150 micron dry film thickness of approved colour after surface preparation by sand blasting. Notes: 1) All fabrication including welding shall be carried out in the factory only and no site fabrication will be permitted. 2) Detailed design and Drawings , shop drawings shall be prepared by the contractor through specialised pre engineered building agency/ experienced consultant and submitted for approval and detailed design report, Loading details / reactions shall be given for design assesment before start of work. 3) Conceptual aesthetically pleasing supporting system shall be worked out and submitted for approval before proceeding detailed design.
Design, providing, supplying , storage, handling, lifting, placing in position, fixing to required line and level, completing and handing over of double skin insulated metal roofing system as per approved design and drawing with all necessary cutting, trimming, etc. as necessary with all approved and specified material, tools, tackle, machinery, labour, fasteners, fixtures, flashing, consumable, transportation, loading, unloading, including all taxes complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge comprising of the following layers: INNER SHEET : Prepainted galvanised steel sheets of 0.50 mm thick with base metal of CRCA conforming to S250GD grade of EN 10326 in all respects, hardness not below 70 HRB, with hot dip galvanisation of 180 gsm (total both sides) as per IS 277, skin passed, zero spangle, pre treated through complete dip process with pre-cleaning, hot rinse, pre activation rinse, zinc phosphate dip and final trivalent chrome rinse before application of special flexible PU primer of 5 DFT on each surface, applied with min. 20 micron DFT of special polyester paint of approved colour and shade on exposed surface and min. 5 micron DFT Metashield standard grey shade polyester back coat on unexposed surface and final product conforming to METASHIELD EPG grade paint system. Profile used shall be of depth 35 + 2 mm, pitch 250 + 2 mm, overall width 1060 + 10 mm with three continuous corrugate stiffeners spread over approx. 55 mm and corrugate depth of approx. 8 mm at each mid-pan of sheet. These sheets shall be fixed to the steel purlins using self tapping, self drilling screws of CORROSHIELD / HP / BUILDEX make conforming to AS 3566 Class 3 category, with coloured surface facing into the building. The total coated thickness of the sheet shall not be less than 0.70 mm and painted metal when tested shall meet requirements of EPG - 10 grade paint system requirements VAPOUR CONTROL BARRIER over INNER SHEET : HDPE film of min. 80 micron thickness shall be used as vapour barrier over inner sheet for prevention of condensation and laid over the inner sheet prior to laying of insulation. SPACER SECTIONS : Suitable spacer as per design shall be fixed by SDST screws through the inner sheet to the underlying purlin. Spacers shall be made of min. 2 mm thick galvanised steel (hot dip 120 gsm as per IS 277) and press formed to approved Z / Hat shape as per approved drawings and supplied in 3000 mm / 6000 mm lenghts only. INSULATION : Glass reinforced mineral wool conforming to IS 8183 of min. density 48 Kg. per cu.m. built up in two layers of 50 mm each (laid perpendicular to each other) to make 100 mm total insulation thickness. VAPOUR CONTROL BARRIER below OUTER SHEET : The vapour control barrier below the outer sheet shall comprise of a polyethylene bubble pack between two aluminium foils of 9 microns on either side, making up a composite thickness of 4 + 0.20 mm, having sound transmission class of 28 dB, reflectivity of 95%, emissivity of 0.05 and basic composite weight of 270 + 10 gsm. OUTER SHEET : CRIL- RIVERCLACK 55 make 0.70 mm thick, prepainted aluminium snap-lock type standing seam sheets, made of 5754 grade Al-Mg alloy of H 18 temper, with standard available PVDF pastel shade paint of min. DFT 25 micron over 7 micron DFT PVDF compatible primer on exposed surface, and, min. 12 micron DFT PVDF grade back coat as per manufacturer's specification on unexposed surface. The profile shall be of 46 mm nominal depth, 550 mm covered width with specially designed interlocking at side laps including gutter drain that makes adoption of shape possible for slope up to 0.4% without any leakage. The sheets shall be fixed to the spacer sections with special reinforced acetylate, anti friction, anti static, di-electric, and, totally non-metallic clips made for the profile to lock into the clip crevices, permitting anti abrasive, free movement during the process of thermal expansion and contraction of the sheets thereby not allowing any stress to develop in the sheeting. The sheeting shall be able to take natural curvature of the buidling up to a radius of 22 m (convex)/ as specified in drawings. The sheet material shall have ultimate tesile strength of minimum 320 N/ Sq.mm, yield strength of 280 N/Sq.mm and elongation of 50 mm GL: 4% . All sheets shall have a manufacturer's or product brand name printed on sheets at regular intervals. Completing the work with all necessary flashing of same material, colour and thickness as for pouter sheet for closures, trims, corners, ridges, aprons, caps etc. as required for completion of the work as per approved drawings, in maximum girth of 760 mm, supplied in standard length of 6000 mm or as per approved drawings.
Providing and fixing precoated Galvalume roofing accessories using self drilling / self tapping screws or with polymer coated 'J' or 'L' hooks, bolts and nuts and or G.I. seam bolts and nuts, G.I. plain and bitumen washers complete.
Roofing accessories of Galvalume sheet up to 600 mm total width for ridges, gutters, aprons,and flashings (Min thickness of sheet 0.5mm) Notes:- A. Gutters for standing seam roof shall be suspended box sections of galvanized steel formed to match the configuration of the gable trim. Gutters shall be independent of the roof seal and shall be attached to the eave strut adapter by means of a gutter hanger. B. Gutter hangers shall be spaced at maximum 1200 mm centers and attached to inside face of gutter and eave adapter by suitable size self-drilling screws and to outer face of gutter by trim fasteners. C. Gutter sections shall be lapped 50 mm and sealed with sealant and then fastened with fasteners as specified on manufacturer’s drawings. D. Gutter end closures shall be sealed with sealant and fastened with pop rivets as specified on manufacturer’s drawings. E. Suitable size rain water spout arrangements to suit 110 mm Dia PVC pipes to be provided in the Gutters.

Vapour Control layer : The vapour contol layer to reduce the movement of water vapour from inside the building to reduce the risk of condensation shall consists of 3 layer membrane to be laid continuous across its surface shall be fully sealed at laps, perimeters, penetrations to ensure effectiveness & aluminium foil of 0.50mm thick laid over insulation board. These panels are factory assembled in continous manufacturing line into a complete unit to eliminate the necessity of field assembly of units prior to installation. The edges of the panels shall be shaped to provide a continous engagement for the full height of the wall/partition, providing a positive sound seal and permitting roll formed slip joint with unique locking arrangement in the shape of tongue and groove individually from each side (fascia) of the panels. Notes: 1)The cost includes supply of material, coating, profiling, wastages, laps, installation and all accessories, fixtures, ancillaries, sealants as per manufacturer specification . 2) Shop drawing of fitting and fixtures, laps and joinery details etc. should be submitted prior to installation.
Supplying, fabricating and delivering and fixing at site Mild anchor bolts as shown in drawing or as directed by Engineer-in-charge, including nuts/lock nuts, anchor bolt assemblies etc. complete. Note for items no. 1 to 5 :-1. The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from approved manufacturers and also third party testing from approved laboratories with out any extra cost. 2. Supplying and injecting with approved quality chemical emulsion at the rates and concentrations as per IS 6313-2001 Part II for preconstructional antitermite treatment and creating a chemical barrier under and alround the masonry pits, masonry foundations, wall trenches, plinth filling, junctions of wall and floor, expansion joints, surfaces of RCC works for a depth of min. 500 mm from the finished ground level, surrounding of pipes, conduits etc., walls retaining soil above floor level, apron and drain along the perimeter of the building including all byeworks complete as per specification / IS 6313:2001 or latest revision and direction of Engineer Incharge (only ground floor plinth area of the building will be measured for the payment in the following three stages. i) 20% after completion of the foundations ii) 50% after completion of the ground floor flooring iii) 30% after completion of all treatment works including ground floor doors & windows. Work to be executed by approved agency and specified guarantee for 10 (ten) years shall be furnished by the contractor. Notes: 1) Guarantee for the treatment for a period 10 (ten) years shall be submitted as per specifications. 2) The plinth area of the ground floor only shall be measured for payment.

Providing, centering ,shuttering Form work using PVC film faced plywood to get a neat form finish surface for all types of structures including necessary strutting, proping, staging, supports etc and deshuttering the same after the specified time all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at all levels. Notes: 1) Only steel staging (acrow or equivalent) will have to be used for all structural/RCC work such as slab, beam, chajjas etc for all floors at all levels/heights. 2) Abrupt changes in surface of concrete, mortars fins at formwork joints shall be evened out by chipping, grinding and finishing with cement mortar curing etc as directed by Project Engineer all at his own cost. 3) The design of formwork shall be submitted for approval before commencement of work.

Providing Reinforcement Steel for reinforced cement concrete at all levels including supplying, preparation of bar bending schedules, cutting, bending, transporting, fixing, tieing in position with PVC coated G.I binding wire, all labour charges, cost of cover blocks in specified grade of concrete etc. complete as per specifications and drawings. Notes: 1)PVC coated binding wire required for the work will have to be supplied by the contractor at their own cost and will not be measured for payment. 2) Cover blocks shall be of same grade of concrete 3)The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from approved manufacturers for each lot and also testing third party from approved laboratories without any extra cost as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Providing and constructing Random Rubble masonry using approved Rubble stone in foundation and plinth in C.M 1:6 (using crushed sand) including raking out joints or simultaneous flush pointing below ground level / plinth level, curing etc. complete as per drawings and specifications.

Providing wood work in frames of doors, windows, clear story openings and other frames, wrought framed and fixed in position of required size and shape including sawing, jointing,making rebates for shutters, making grooves as shown in the drawings, finishing the surfaces to the required finish all as per specifications and drawings including necessary MS hold fasts 40 mm X 3 mm thick, 200 mm long / with coach screws including protective painting to the suface that will come in contact with walls, joining materials, labour etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Providing LOUVERED OPENING in door shutters including making the pening, providing and fixing teak wood louver blades with necessary teak wood frame work and beading and applying one coat of approved wood primer etc. complete.
Extra for providing vision panel not exceeding 0.1 sqm in all type of flush door including fixing 4 mm clear glass with necessary teak wood beadings complete all as per specifications and as per drawings.
