Cutting in earthwork in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erossion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, and level as shown on the drawings including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner at any approved dumping site or otherwise (to be arranged by the contractor including payment of prescribed dumping charges of Municipal Committee / Local body if levied any), trimming, filling of unevenness as directed by the Engineer-in charge. All useful materials, such as stones, shingles, aggregate and slates shall be probably stacked at site to the maximum possible extent in all leads and lifts through all modes of transportation and used / removed as per the direction of Engineer in Charge. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Earthwork in excavation for all type of structures in all type of classification of soil comprising of ordinary soil, ordinary rock, hard rock chiesling / wedging out rocks (where blasting is prohibeted). Dimesions and other particulars as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 305.1(Three hundred Five point One) including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious material and its disposal including dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling in trenches with excavated suitable material, trimming, filling of unevenness blindages and finishing of the road to specified dimensions. All work of excavation by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosions, damage to hill side, water pollutions etc., and to protect stability of hill side rock. Stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unserviceable excavated materials in specified manners to dumping site (to be arranged by the contractor) or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of execution shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his own cost of all cases.

Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4 mm(four milimeter) dia GI wire conforming to IS:280 (two hudred eighty) and IS:4826 (four thousand eight hundred twenty six) in 100 mm x 100 mm(one hundred into one hundred milimeter) mesh (woven diagonally) including 10(ten) per cent extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 25 kg (twenty five kilogramme) each as per drawing and technical specifications Clause 1301,(one thousand three hundred one) including carriage of all labour equipment and material to various location through all modes of transportation in all leads lifts and all incidental charges.

Backfilling of Granular material behind abutment, wing wall and return wall, breast walls, retaining walls and parapets up to all heights, depths and levels complete as per drawings and MORD technical specification clause 1204.3.8 (one thousand two hundred four point three point eight) , including carriage of all labour equipment and materials to various location of site through all modes of transportations in all leads lifts and all incidental charges.
