REPAIRS/ REPLACEMENT AND HYGINE OF LT UG CABLE AT NAVAL AREA UNDER GE HADDO, PORT BLAIR

M&L for lifting of RCC slab, approximate length (2 to 4.5m) x width (1 to 2m) and upto 300mm thick and about 3.0 to 5.0 ton in weight on IN Jetty by lifiting of suitable slab with in 10 to 15m of length as per site condition by cutting /chipping the clearance, groove all around. keeping aside using a crane for laying of HT/LT cables or removing and relaying after fault rectification and replacing RCC slab at the same location after carrying out repairs including making good the surface with PCC (1:2:4) complete all as specified and directed. NOTE : (i) Two to three Nos of slab shall be taken out / removed as per site condition for laying of cables / earth strip in the cable duct of Jetty after for a span of 15 to 20 meters or as per site requirement. (ii) Cost of T&P required for the work shall be included in the quoted rate. (iii) Site will be availabile in a restricted manner and prior approval shall be obtained before commencement of work. (iv) Contractor is liabile for any damage caused to existing services or structures during the execution of work (v) Contractors are advised to visit the sites before quoting the rates.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth, for foundation of poles, stays, struts or for laying cables/pipes etc., not exceeding 10 Sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.5m in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: 1. If new cable is laid as replacement of old cable in the same trench, all excavation and earth work shall be measured only once. 2. If any pipe is laid in trenches as cable protection, all excavation and earth work shall be measured either for cable or for pipe only and not for both. 3. If cable is laid in tiers and in loops, all excavation and earth work shall be measured accordingly.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm each as in soils complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated material (soils) to a distance not exceeding 50 metres and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for LT XLPE insulated, screened, PVC bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cables (heavy duty) with aluminium conductor, 1100 volts grade of size 2 core x 6 sqmm laid in trenches/floors/ducts or fixed on poles/walls with suitable clamps/saddles or drawn through pipes etc., and connecting up with suitable size of lugs, glands and jointing material including taking out old unserviceable cable complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE:- (i) Necessary test results like continuity test, megger tests, shall be submitted to Engineer-in-Charge before the cable is laid. (ii) Necessary excavation earth work will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this Schedule

Supply, connect and testing for straight though joints for 1100 volts grade of LT UG cables of size 3.5 core 25 to 50 Sqmm including taking out old joint complete all specified & directed.

Material & labour for laying of chequered plates of any thickness by cutting / making in to the shape providing necessary angular supports and handles with 6 mm dia rod as per the site condition for cable trenches of various sub-stations Fe-410-W (Gde E-250) quality-A alongwith painting of two coats of alongwith painting of two coats of synthetic enamel over a coat of redoxide all as specified and directed.

Taking down/removal of old burnt/damaged LT cable end termination after isolating supply to transformer/LT pillar box/LT panel and disconnecting burnt/faulty cable from the bunch of cable gland, M&L for new termination with suitable size of lugs duly crimped for LT, 1100 volts, 3½ core 95 Sqmm to 500 Sqmm, armoured aluminium conductor cables and connecting back with new nuts, bolts and washers of nickel chromium and applying petroleum jelly after end termination, testing and commissioning complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and laying HDPE DWC pipe of size 120mm (OD) x 103mm (ID) along with connected accessories like couplers, bends, end caps etc. laid in trenches/floors/ducts or fixed on poles/walls for as in protection of LT/ HT cable protection complete all as specified and as directed by engineer in charge. M&L Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600x600x6mm thick,40mm bore medium grade (steel pipe) buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25m deep below GL) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5m below normal GI, connected to galvanised earth strip 32 x 6 mm by means of bolts nuts check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No.5 connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated including testing on completion. NOTES: 1) The unit rate shall also include for earth work in any type of soil, PCC (1:3:6) type C1 chamber, pre-cast RCC (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate cover 50mm thick reinforced with TMT bars 8mm dia @ 100mm c/c both ways, funnel with watering pipe 20mm dia medium grade, GI protection pipe light grade 40mm dia and wire mesh complete in addition to item No. 1(a) to (e) of preamble (notes) under sub-heading earthing, specified on Sl. Disconnecting old unserviceable /under rated LT UG cables of size 3½ core, 50 to 185 Sqmm from its connections, taking out the cable from trenches or drawing out from the pipe and shifting the cable from existing location (power house) to different location (feeders/jetty/any other location) and re-using the same by laying in trenches / ducts or passing through pipes or fixed on walls / pole with suitable clamps/saddles and connecting up with suitable size of lugs, glands and jointing material complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: Necessary excavation earth work will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this Schedule

All as per item no.30 above but for size 3.5 core 185 to 500Sqmm.

Disconnecting and taking out existing old unserviceable copper bus bar of any size or shape and supply and fix new copper bus bar of suitable size and capacity to suit the existing requirement with proper bakelite highlam sheet, insulators, GI bolts, nuts and washers of required size for mounting including reconnecting the electric cables complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge.

M&L for mild steel framed brackets fabricated made out of angles or tees, web and flanges heavy duty hinges for welding of cope boxes / panel doors etc., cut to shape, drilled and countersunk for screw, including bending and welding angles, as necessary, gusset plates, riveting, etc., conforming to Fe-290 Gde E-165 including fabrication, fixing and painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer including dismantling existing old unserviceable brackets and the like complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F heat shrinkable sleeves suitable for 150Sqmm to 500Sqmm LT UG cable, 415V grade including disconnecting LT UG cable from Transformer/LT Panel/Feeder Pillar Box/Cope boxes and re-connection after completion complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down existing LT Panel board and Supply and Fixing of outdoor LT Panel / LT Pillar Box of dimensions 1.8m x 1.4m x 0.6m size with following specifications. Fabrication Details : CPRI approved Main frame 3.15mm thick CRCA sheet, partition sheets / covers / doors of 2 mm thick CRCA sheet, gland plates 2 mm thick MS sheet (undrilled), base frame on ICMS channel with provision of incoming and outgoing cable entry at the bottom for outdoor installation, free standing floor mounted with degree of protection IP- 65 and locking arrangements. Cutting the existing road surface/PCC/ foot path (approx 50cm x 30cm) for laying of HT/LT cables including excavation of trenches, refurming filling, removal of soil in any type of soil, including making good for disturbed surfaces with PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate, use & waste of necessary form work including watering complete al as specified and directed.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) as in coping of pole including use & waste of necessary form work including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating, complete all as specified and as as directed by engineer in charge.

M & L for fault detection in damaged HT/LT UG cable by using cable fault detector/locator vehicle mounted comprising of surge generator pulse, ECHO fault locator with high frequency distance calculator etc to accuracy of 2 meter for various location inside Haddo and vijaybaugh for UG cables of any size any type upto 11 KV incl excavation & Earthwork in any type of stratra to usually inspect/repair the damaged cable when and where required all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : (i) Compaint will be notified to contractor on mobile phone at any time and contractor is responsible to rectify the fault after notification. (ii) Rates included necessary earth work in any type of strata or road for opening the cable and prepare the cable ready to jointing work and making good to match with existing finishes. (iii) Cable joints and cable if required shall be measured and paid separately.
