REPAIR TO JOINT FILLING, EPOXY REPAIR, CULVERTS, DRAINS AND OTHER MISC RUNWAY RELATED WORKS IN TECHNICAL AREA AT AF STATION CHANDIGARH UNDER GE(AF) CHANDIGARH.

M&L for repairing pot holes / patches/ edges etc in existing cement concrete pavements by cutting out damaged portion around the pot holes/ edges with mechanical equipment into regular shape, removing the loose material to a distance exc 500 metre but n.exc 1000 m and cleaning the cut out portion with compressed air to remove all foreign materials like dust, dirt, loose aggregates etc, priming the pot holes / patches with special primer recommended by manufacturer and filling with modified elastomeric concrete in proper levelling and shape to flush with the existing slab and joints including necessary form work complete all as specified and directed. (Make : STP/Foscroc/ Tikkitar/ Pidilite) NOTE: The Contractor shall provide the safety life jacket for all concerned labour / supervisor and also provide work in progress board / pillar area and follow the rules of airfield all as specified and directed.

(Make : STP/Foscroc/ Tikkitar/ Pidilite) NOTE: The Contractor shall provide the safety life jacket for all concerned labour / supervisor and also provide work in progress board / pillar area and follow the rules of airfield all as specified and directed.

M&L for dummy joint repair/ replacement in old concrete pavement by Racking out of old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blades/machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pacing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Thereafte filled with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 8 mm dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875- 2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30%.Complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for construction joint repair/ replacement in old concrete pavement by Racking out of old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blades/machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris . Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pouring the sealant Thereafter filled with closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 12 mm dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30%. Complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for expansion joint repair/ replacement in old concrete pavement by Racking out of old existing sealant compound, back up rod and filler board of the existing joints by special tools like racker/cutting blades/machines , widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the filler board and pouring the sealant Thereafter filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified , over it filled with closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm dia for complete length of the joint. Finally filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor MAF of +/- 30%.Complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Brick work with sub-class `B' bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 M mean radius built in cement sand mortar 1:4 complete in and including demolition of brickwork or stone boulder masonary built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc for the area where unservicable bricks retrived and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Brick work with sub-class `B' bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 M mean radius (except bricks) built in cement sand mortar 1:4 complete in and including demolition of brickwork or stone boulder masonary built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc for area where servicable bricks retrived and removal of rubbish outside MoD land ,complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Servicable bricks retrived from demolition of above item No 6 and this item shall be used after proper cleaning and washing of old bricks.

M&L for Rendering 15 mm thick on other than fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces in cement mortar 1:4 finished even and smooth without using extra cement , complete all as specified and directed.

M&L plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-0 using 12.5mm graded crushed stone aggregates in lintels upto 1.5m clear span, cills, steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs , water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for PCC (1:4:8) type D-2 using mechanically crushed stone aggregate as in foundations, filling and mass concrete in and including demolition of cement concrete (un-reinforced) of any description and in any position (below or above ground level) not exceeding 15cm thick including removal of rubbish outside MoD land complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 using mechanically crushed stone aggregate as in surface channel and drains in and including demolition of cement concrete (un-reinforced) of any description and in any position (below or above ground level) not exceeding 15cm thick including removal of rubbish outside MoD land complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Providing and laying 60mm thick factory made chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-35 grade with approved colour, design & pattern as in footparth, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc., of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 25mm thick compacted bed of fine sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand in & including demolition of stone slab and tiles of any description or thickness in floors, aprons etc, laid bedded and pointed in white cement with pigment and removal of rubbish outside MoD land ,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer -in-Charge. Note : Quoted rates are inclusive of fine sand and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for coloured chequered cement concrete tiles 300mm x 300mm x 25mm thick glossy type, set, jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry with grey cement and pigments laid over and including 20mm thick screed bed in cement mortar (1:6) in & including demolition of stone slab and tiles of any description or thickness in floors, aprons etc, laid bedded and pointed in white cement with pigment,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge.

M&L cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in roof kerbs or mud stops, sides of interlocking paver blocks and similar works complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of new plastered/concrete/ bituminous surfaces by brushing and painting with two coats of oil based road marking paint white or golden yellow in tint in pattern of lines/ arrows/ letters etc on wall, culverts and other similar surface exc 10cm width or girth, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for framed work such as grills, gratings,etc with ends of bars shouldered and/ or riveted, or forged into spikes; framed guard bars; barred iron doors; ladders; framed balusters; walk ways; railings; framework of water tanks and similar work con- forming to Fe.290.Gde-E-165 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of new surfaces of steel of any description, not otherwise described over 10cm width or girth and applying two coat of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed.

De-silting of drain at depth upto 1.50 metre by rough excavation for cleaning existing drain and getting out in muddy soil including cutting small bushes, small trees girth not exceeding 30 cm from sides of brick lined drain, including removing excavated materials exceeding 50 metre but not exceeding 250 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above from the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

De-silting of drain at depth from 1.50m to 3.00 m by rough excavation for cleaning existing drain and getting out in muddy soil including cutting small bushes, small trees girth not exceeding 30 cm from sides of brick lined drain, including removing excavated materials exceeding 50 metre but not exceeding 250 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above from the starting point , complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for removing of RCC Duct slab approx size 2.20mtr x 2.20mtr x 0.25 mtr carefully by mechanical means and placed aside till cleaning of the duct and refixing the same after cleaning of the duct. Note : Dewatering/ Desludging/ Cleaning of duct and removal of sludge/ mud will be measured and paid separatly.

M&L for dewatering/ de-sludging of manholes / Cable duct more than 4.00 mtr depth (any size and depth), de-siliting and removing sludge from Duct chamber as in foul condition and removing of sludge to a place as earmarked by civic body for this purpose out side of MoD land, complete all as specified and directed. Note :(i) Dewatering will be done by suction pump / any mechanical means and disposal by truck mounted trailers to off sludge etc. to a place as earmarked by civic body for this purpose complete all as specified and directed. (ii)Under ground duct below more than 4 mtr depth and more than 45 mtr length. All safety precaution shall be adopt by the contractor for smooth working for labour against any chemical smell or snake or any other obstacle which come to clean the duct. (iii)All safety measures for the safety of workmen shall be ensured by the contractor. Insurance of workers shall also be included in quoted rates.

M&L for Cleaning of solid / liquid mud deposited in under ground cable duct 1.5m wide, exc 4.5 m in depth, 45 Rm in length of any type by manually/ by super suction machine etc complete all as specifed and as directed. Note : (i)Cleaning will be done manually /by super suction machine in under ground duct below more than 4 mtr depth X more than 45 Mtr length and removing mud from Duct chamber as in foul condition and removing of sludge to a place as earmarked by civic body for this purpose out side of MoD land, complete all as specified and directed. (ii) All safety precaution shall be adopt by the contractor for smooth working for labour against any chemical smell or snake or any other obstacle which come to clean the duct. (iii) All safety measures for the safety of workmen shall be ensured by the contractor. Insurance of workers shall also be included in quoted rates.

Note applicable for Srl item no. 1 to 5 & 20 to 22- (i) The work will be carried out by patch work near runway. (ii) Complete work shall be carried out within very short period of 5 hours each in five closures and working time will be started 0830 hrs at each sunday and the work will be completed 1330 hrs on sunday, Four - five closures falls within the month. The work is to be executed upto the satisfaction without any break during runway closures in 05 hrs shift, During each shift contractor has to arrange skilled worker experienced supervisor and T&P and sufficient lighting arrangement with genset for low light conditions.

(iii) Panel recovery of 100% of quoted rate for Srl item no. 1 to 5 & 20 to 22 shall be made in case the work against these item are not completed by the contractor within specified period of runway closures. (iv) All necessary arrangement of for working in day and night during runway closures will be made by contractor without any extra cost to the Govt. including sufficient light arrangement through Gen set as when required. (v) The entire work on each closures to be executed at two diffrent locations of by two teams of skilled labour alongwith seprate T&P required in each shift of 05 hrs all as directed and specified by Engineer-in-charge.

Note applicable for Srl item no 20 to 22 only (i) Minimum two JCB with needle type hydraulic appratus, two air blower is required and four no of electric diamond cutter with two electric Gen set are required.
