REPAIR TO PQC SLAB OF RUNWAY, PTT, TAXI TRACK AND DISPERSALS FOR RIGID PAVEMENT OF TECH AREA AT AIR FORCE STATION PATHANKOT

Demolition of Concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for ground floors and pavings of any thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for 350mm thick pavement quality concrete (PQC) work in pavement of flexural strength 45kg/sqcm (lower control limit) in field using min cement content as per Design Mix but not less than 400 kg OPC cement per cum with crushed graded stone aggregate, Combined grading of coarse & fine Aggregate as Per MORTH Table 600-3 and super plastisizer, required as per design mix ( as Per IRC V th revision) mixed with and including triangular/ non circular synthetic fibre reinforcement min. 12mm length @ 0.25% by weight of cement , spread and compacted by using surface vibratory, screeder and flouters as approved by GE and all as specified and including necessary T & P for bull nosing , rounding of edges and finishing the surfaces by mechanical brooming /belting , curring etc , cured with curing compound as per recommendation of Auth approving design mix complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Cost of admixture ( super plasticizer ) and curing compound are inclusive in the cost of Quoted above. The recron shall be measured and paid sepearayely.

Material and labour for 10mm thick (compacted thickness) layer of sand filling, spread, levelled and rammed including watering and consolidating finished to required profile complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Polyethlene film 400 micron black spread and laid over sand layer with minimum 15 cm side and ends laps as per IS-2508 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Note : Net measurement shall be measured without any allowance of overlaps).

Supply only Polyester triangular/non-circular synthetic fibre 12 mm size recron 3S @1Kg/Cum of concrete conforming to type -II fibre under ASTMC:1116-89 having tensile strength 4000 to 6000 Kg/Sqm at acting point 250 degree entigrate, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for forming 25mm wide expansion joint filled with compressible synthetic filler board for complete depth of joint 350mm, i.e the thickness of slab, provision of closed cell backup rod 30mm dia, filled with polyurethane sealant (min depth of sealant above back up rod shall be of 15mm), complying with BS 5212,BS 4254, and EN 41875-2003, priming the sides min MAF+ 30% with ten years performanance guarantee and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface to give neat finish to sealant and removing tha masking tape after sealant is applied by mechanical means all as shown on drawing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for forming dummy joint of 115 mm depth of slab and 3mm wide initial cut of 8 mm wide x 25mm deep (using diamond cutter) providing backup rod 10mm dia and sealed with polyurethane sealant (min depth of sealant 12mm upto a depth of 30 mm beyond 30 mm depth and remaining full depth of 85 mm the joint size will be 3 mm wide cut with diamond cutter )complying with BS 5212,BS 4254, and EN 41875-2003, priming the sides min MAF+ 30% with ten years performanance guarantee and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface to give neat finish to sealant and removing tha masking tape after sealant is applied by mechanical means all as shown on drawing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for forming construction joint 25mm deep and 10mm wide (Using diamond cutter) providing polythene backup rod 12mm dia and sealed with polyurethane sealant (min depth of sealant 12mm) complying with BS 5212,BS 4254, and EN 41875-2003, priming the sides min MAF+ 30% with ten years performanance guarantee and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface to give neat finish to sealant and removing tha masking tape after sealant is applied by mechanical means all as shown on drawing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Removing demolished material exc. 5 km and depositing outside the Air Force cantonment area complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Preparation of surfaces for lines, dashes or arrows letters etc on bituminous surfaces/ pavements exc. 10cm width and applying two coats of road marking paint ( water based) over a coat of primer (confirming to IS-164-1981) white or yellow using automatic mechanical nozzle spray machine complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Racking out existing filling in dummy/construction joints upto 25mm width and depth as required to provide backup rod and minimum 15mm thick sealant compound and making it perfectly U shaped with vertical sides by means of mechanical cutter and ensure that joints should be cleaned to remove sealing compound from sides of joint , after cleaning and fanning with air compressor to make the joints free from all loose material (i.e. dirt/dust etc ) and provide polyethylene foam rod backup material of suitable size (Backup rod to be fixed with wooden roller) and applying primer of approved make to side and bottom of joints and filling with polyurethane sealant of approved make(minimum 15mm thick over backup rod) , all as manufacturer instruction and old material should be removed from Technical area as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Make : Bostic, Seal N Flex 2K or any equivalent product E-in-C's approved list. Note: (1) Masking tape on edge of joint to be provided on top surface to give neat finish to sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied. (2) An exclusive team of 06 labourers for each task such as removing of existing fiiling, cleaning of open opened joint, finishing of edges with grinder/cutter, applying of primer by one forward stroke and second backward stroke of brush, then applying joint sealant after appropriate time gap and as directed by the Manufacturer's instruction. (3) Quantity of joint filling material required for complete quantity of 7500 RM shall be produced by contractor in one lot from approved manufacturer and deposited to under supervision of Engr-in-Charge within 4 weeks of issue of approval for make. Failure to meet this condition shall invoke a panel deduction of Rs. 12000 per week beyond thr due date.

Racking out existing filling in dummy/construction joints above 25mm wide upto 40mm wide (for more than 40mm width of joint, for every additional 25mm width additional length will be measured) and depth as required to provide backup rod and minimum 15mm thick sealant compound and making it perfectly U shaped with vertical sides by means of mechanical cutter and ensure that joints should be cleaned to remove sealing compound from sides of joint , after cleaning and fanning with air compressor to make the joints free from all loose material (i.e. dirt/dust etc ) and provide polyethylene foam rod backup material of suitable size (Backup rod to be fixed with wooden roller) and applying primer of approved make to side and bottom of joints and filling with polyurethane sealant of approved make(minimum 15mm thick over backup rod) , all as manufacturer instruction and old material should be removed from Technical area as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
