SCHEDULE A BOQ

Comprehensive maintenance/repair of sewage treatment plant of capacity of 1 MLD, the plant comprising of the following assets :- Main collection tank of 2,00,000 ltr capacity, submersible sewage cutter pump of capacity 7.5HP 3 phase 415V-02 No, Air compressor 15HP 3 phase 415V-03 No, treated water monoblock pump set 15HP 3 phase 415V-02 No, treated water submersible type motor 7.5HP 3 phase 415V-02 No, clarifier motor and gear 02HP 3 phase 415V-01 No, Activated carbon filter tank with assembly-01 No, sand filter unit-01 No, settling tank-01 No, Aeration tank-02 No, treated water sump of 5000 ltr capacity-01 No, chlorine tank of 20000 ltr capacity -01 No, secondary clarifier-01 No, sludge drying bed divided into 04 No compartment-01 No, PLC based fully automatic SCADA panel-01 No, motorised valve 100 mm-04 No, LT panel with motor controller-01 No, Recycling pump 5HP,3phase, 415 volts-02 Nos and other civil structures/ chambers, connected equipments, control panel board and cables etc.

(I) The parameters of input and output shall be maintained as under :-

(a) Inlet parameters :- (i) BOD - 250 - 275 mg/ltr (ii) COD - 400 - 550 mg/ltr (iii) TSS - 400 mg/ltr (iv) PH - 7 to 7.5 (v) Fecal Coliform - < 230

(b) Parameters for treated sewage effluent required are as :- (i) BOD - Less than or equal to 10 mg/ ltr (ii) COD - Less than or equal to 150 mg/ ltr (iii) TSS - < 30 mg/ltr (iv) PH - 7 to 8 (v) E coli - Less than or equal to 100 counts/ 100 ml (vi) Residual chlorine - > 0.5mg/ ltr (iv) DO (Dissolved oxygen level - 2 to 4 mg/ ltr in biological system to be maintained)

(II) The following daily maintenance to be carried out :- (a) Bar screen chamber should be cleaned every day to ensure that it’s not choked. (b) Cleaning of Oil & Grease trap. (c) Once in every two hours pumps should be changed between working and standby i.e, Sewage feed pump, blower and Filter feed pump. (d) Maintain disinfection liquid in chlorine dozing tank. (e) MGF and ACF back wash & rinse – Once in every 8 hours simultaneously. (f) Settling tank – Sludge should be disposed from settling tank to sludge drying bed. Once every 8 hours based on MLSS growth. (g) Monitoring and maintenance of log books periodically. (h) Treated water tank – chlorine content should be analysed to ensure that chlorine residual is below 0.2 ppm. (j) MLSS growth – to be checked in aeration tank and equalization tank for proper growth

(III) The following weekly maintenance to be carried out :- STP system is inspected weekly and the following points attended to :- i) Inspect Equalisation Tank/ Entry to system for blockages, plastics etc and remove. ii) Inspect Aerator and note biomass growth, recirculation flow and if any malodour,it is to be treated. iii) Inspect Secondary clarifier (Humus, Tank) and note visual appearance of final effluent and absence (or otherwise) of sludge build up. iv) Check the outlet of the system for blockage etc. v) Check water level in grease trap and if required top up with clean cold water. vi) Grease the bearings (vii) Grease all chain couplings through casing nipples. (viii) Drain out and replace gearbox oil of superior quality (ix) Check holding plate bolts. (x) Check shaft for wear and alignment. (xi) Check bearings for wear and tear and check holding down bolts for tightness. (xii) Check chain coupling and check bolts for tightness.

(IV) The following monthly maintenance to be carried out :- Aerator MUST BE SWITECHED OFF during monthly maintenance procedures. i) Check motor for overheating (by touch) and remove dust etc. from air fins. ii) Grease all bearings through nipples. iii) Grease all chain couplings through casing nipples. iv) Check oil level in gearbox and top up if necessary. v) Check sludge return system from Humus Tank for function. vi) Apply light lubricating oil in small quantities to locks and hinges. vii) Empty and clean out grease trap and fill with clean cold water. viii) Preparing and submitting monthly report on performance of the plant. ix) Sludge disposal outside the MD land atleast once in a month. x) Check and calibrate the instruments including on line monitor and submit report. xi) Check dozing pump and repair/service if necessary.

(V) The following items for routine maintenance shall be provided in plant :- (a) Liquid chlorine with suitable % of chlorine concentration as recommended by manufacturer - 350 ltrs per month (b) Urea - 250 kg per month (c) DAB - 200 kg per month (d) Bio culture - 60 kg per month (e) Cow dung - 500 kg per month (f) Deforming chemical - 30 ltr per month (g) INDI foam 3000 - 60 ltr per month (h) Sercon 203 - 45 ltr per month

(VI) The following items shall be replaced as and when required or as directed by the Engr-in-Charge :- (a) Gaskets, Gland Packing. (b) O rings. (c) Drive belts for air blower and clarifier. (d) Minor electrical accessories viz Indication lamps, fuses etc. (e) Blades (f) Pasting materials (g) Consumables like gloves, safety jackets, helmets, respirators etc (h) Cleaning Chemicals, reagents, Lubricants etc. (j) Contractor shall ensure the filter media particles are upto the level in ACF and MGF. If the quantity level reduces due to loss during filtration and back wash, the same should be toped up during routine maintenance.

(VII) The following tests shall be carried out and maintain the record of treated sewage as per frequency mentioned below :- Ser No Description of parameters Periodicity 1. Note for item No 2 :- The unit quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of the following :- (a) The contractor shall visit the site/ plant before quoting the tender. The existing STP plant is MBBR and Original Equipment Manufacture is M/s ION Exchange.

(b) To provide technical support for comprehensive maintenance of STP, the contractor shall enter MOU with the OEMs. No additional payment on this account shall be made to the contractor by the department.

(c) Irrespective of the fact that MOU is signed by contractor with an OEM, contractor will be fully responsible for overall performance and quality of treated water coming out after treatment.

(d) The comprehensive maintenance of STP plant of MBBR will be carried out through authorised rep of the OEM's only under the supervision of contractor and the Engineer-in-Charge. The authorised service agency of OEM shall be responsible to provide all technical support for comprehensive maintenance and shall also be responsible for performance of the plant in terms of outlet parameters mentioned here-in-before.

(e) OEM or their authorised service centre shall employ round the clock minimum one technician having sound knowledge in STP Plant to operate the plant, carryout water analysis checks through approved Laboratory and monitor the performance of the plant on a regular basis, interpret the results and suggest remedial measures in case of major deviations and one person for daily maintenance and cleaning of the plant.

(f) Arrangement for On line/Real time monitoring of COD, BOD, TSS, Disolved Oxygen, PH values shall be done by the contractor for performance monitoring of parameters on a regular basis.

(g) Service Engineer of OEM shall visit at least once in every month and during break down or when urgently required for the Inspection, servicing repair, rectification of problem and submission of report.

(h) The contractor shall be fully responsible for maintaining the STP in operational condition in consultation with the Engineer-in-Charge.

(j) The cost of supply and replacement of worn out/ defective equipments, each and every type of repair, renewals, regular servicing for efficient and smooth functioning of STP and connected equipment/ items shall be deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates of BOQ.

(k) Repair/ replacement of any equipment/ machinery or part thereof provided under this contract shall be got done only from the manufacturer's authorised dealer/ OEM and record there of shall be maintained.

(l) The contractor has to provide all consumable spares, oil & lubricants for greasing of various equipments, chemicals, consumables for electrical and mechanical plant & machinery.

(m) One month's consumables and required spares shall always be kept at site in advance.

(n) Major repairs/ overhauling etc. shall be notified to the GE immediately on occurrence. The cost of each part/ equipment replaced shall be deemed to be included in the unit rates quoted by the contractor. The unit quoted rate shall be deemed to be included for all materials and labour reqd for comprehensive maintenance including repair/ replacement of any defective component/ equipment to keep the STP in operational condition at all the time.

(o) The entire treated water will be reutilised for arboriculture purpose/ flushing system of toilets. The quantity of treated water shall meet all the criteria given here in before.

(p) The contractor shall carry out various tests on treated sewage and record the same in registers duly signed by contractor's rep, JE and Engineer-in-Charge. The tests shall be carried out from Govt approved laboratories. Contractor shall also be at liberty to establish his own laboratories at site for same after prior approval of GE, however, GE can ask the contractor to get independent tests from Govt lab/ Govt Engineering colleges. The cost of above shall be deemed included in the rates quoted by contractor in BOQ.

(q) The Installation shall be frequently visited by the MES/ Air Force officers. It shall be contractor responsibility for proper upkeep of the area in a presentable state all the time. Surrounding area upto the fencing/ boundary of STP shall be kept clean and cleared of bushes/ shrubs and grass all the time to give a neat and clean appearance of the area.

(r) Registers of record of periodical maintenance carried out date wise for each equipment separately and the same shall be signed by both parties i.e authorise rep of contractor, JE and Engineer-in-Charge.

(s) Repair to system in case of break down (due to normal wear & tear) shall be rectified by the contractor within 24 hrs. In case of failure noticed more than 24 hrs, recovery shall be effected @ Rs. 500/- per hour beyond 24 hrs.

(t) All sludge at suitable frequency (atleast once in a month) shall be disposed off outside the defence land. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to identify the area suitable for disposal of sludge. The cost of same deemed to be included in the unit quoted rate.

M&L for repair/maint of Sand Filter of 1 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant, including replacing of sand & silex by opening top cover of sand filter tank and removing used sand and silex from Sand Filter Tank and washing/ cleaning the tank neatly & properly, and re- filling with new Fine Sand (400 Kgs), Coarse Sand(1500Kgs), Fine Silex(400kg) and Coarse Silex( 400 Kgs) in proper layers as per requirment and closing top cover of the Sand Filter Tank properly and check all connections complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply only MBBR Media in the Bio culture tank of STP Plant. Make : ION Exchange Cat No. MB1622 or its equivant as approved by GE complete all as specified and directed

M&L for repair/maint of Activated Carbon filter of 1 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant, including replacing of Carbon by opening top cover of Carbon filter tank and removing used old Carbon from Carbon filter tank and washing/ cleaning the tank neatly & properly ,and re- filling with new Activated Carbon 900 IV (625 Kg) as per requirment and closing top cover of the Carbon filter tank properly and check all connections complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Construction of sewage water pre filter collection chamber/ sludge recirculation pre filter collection chamber of 1200mm x 2000mm x 1500mm internal size suitable for Sluice Valve, with 150 mm thick PCC 1:4:8, Type D2, using 40mm graded aggregate for foundation, 200 mm thick Brickwork with Fly Ash Bricks in Cement Mortar 1:6, 40 mm thick PCC, 1:2:4, Type B1, using 20mm graded aggregate Coping, rendering in CM 1:4, 15 mm thick including provision of Mild Steel Sheet Cover 3 mm thick with 40 X 40 X 6 mm size Angle Iron frame work embedded in concrete with suitable hinges and locking arrangements including two coat of synthetic enamel black paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer to steel surfaces and including necessary earth work excavation in any type of soil etc., removal of surplus soil off the premises complete all as specified.

Disconnecting electric connection and taking out submersible sewage cutter pump set of capacity 7.5 HP, 3 Phase, 415 volt from sewage well, transport to the workshop and back for making the serviceable/ repair, dismantle the motor/pump, taking out burnt winding of stator, removal of burnt insulation material from the slot, cleaning the stator slots and M&L for rewinding the stator using super enamelled, submersible grade copper winding wire of same gauge and turns, cleaning and overhauling the pump, tightening impeller complete including replacing the following unserviceable spares, reinstall the pump in original position and testing at full load capacity all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Rectification of leakage of GI pipe diameter 80 to 100mm in trench after carry out excavation upto volume of 2 cum, replacement of unserviceable pipe fittings like collar, bend, Tee, Reducer, etc, including threading of existing pipe, applying all necessary engineer effort to check the water leakage, carryout necessary earth works to closs the trench and remove surplus soil upto 50 mtr distance all as directed

Cleaning of valve pit chamber for sluice/gate valve of 50/80/100/150/200/ size by removing mud/ grass/ sludge/ other waste materials from the chamber and from surroundings upto 1mtr distance, carryout petty cement repairs with cement mortar 1:4, apply one coat of white wash on cemented surfaces and one coat of synthetic paint on steel surfaces complete to make an operator friendly valve chamber complete as specified and directed. Note :- Periodicity and locations of valve chambers will be given as per requirement by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Opening of existing sluice valve of 200mm bore by dismantling from existing water line and opening of gland cover taking out with spindle with check nut of stainless steel & refixing the same after servicing, greasing including replacement of rubber packing, nuts & bolts, glands etc and to refixing on the same line complete all as specified and directed Note: Any new parts like stainless steel Spindle with check nuts,Gland plate of required size shall be measured and paid separately under respective items

Opening of existing sluice valve of 150mm bore by dismantling from existing water line and opening of gland cover taking out with spindle with check nut of stainless steel & refixing the same after servicing, greasing including replacement of rubber packing, nuts & bolts, glands etc and to refixing on the same line complete all as specified and directed Note: Any new parts like stainless steel Spindle with check nuts,Gland plate of required size shall be measured and paid separately under respective items

Supply only 200 mm bore stainless steel spindle with check nut, gland plate complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Ductile Iron Pressure Pipes, Centrifugally Cast [Spun], Class "K-7" for 150mm bore with Socket and Spigot ends conforming to IS - 8329 in standard lengths suitable for Push-On Rubber Gasket Jointing with inside Cement Mortar Lining and Black Bitumen external coating including taking down any description and any size of pipe complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Excavation earth work and DI special shall be measured separately.

Attending day to day water supply service related complaints like choking of rising main pipes of buildings, blockage in control valves/ float valves/ pipe fittings, etc, applying necessary engineering efforts like dismantle of pipes and fittings to clean and remove blocking objects, descaling of pipes, re-fixing of pipes on wall, etc to restore the proper flow of water to service tanks all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Note for item No 53 :- (a) The contractor has to attend above mentioned job in any location of entire domestic and tech area of Air Force Stn Sulur.

(b) The service tanks are positioned on roof top of multi storied buildings upto four storey. Contractor is responsible to ensure that the labour employed should be equipped with safety items like industrial helmet, safety belt, extensible ladder of 40 feet length, plumbing and cuttings tools, etc.

(c) The cost of rethreading of GI pipes of 25mm dia and adding of new GI nipple of suitable length after rethreading is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(d) Due to shortage of water in the station, the repair work and testing required under this item need to be carried out during water supply distribution hours i.e. 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Nothing extra shall be permitted in this regard.

(e) The cost of repair to the damages of cemented surfaces/ external finishes/ metal clamps of rising pipes are also deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(f) In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 6 hrs after handing over routine/urgent complaints, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under.

(g) If the delay is more then 06 hrs period and GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 100/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt.

(j) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.

S&F PVC water storage tank cover suitable for 500 to 1000 ltrs capacity tank with locking arrangement complete including taking down of existing one all as specified and directed

(vi) Replacenylon net for vent pipes & man hole cover (vii) Writing letter in bold with white paint on black colour back ground such as sump number, capacity, cleaned on Date & Due on Date etc Note : The contractor shall arrange mobile generator for operation of dewatering by high pressure submersible pump (or) Diesel driven high pressure pump and the unit quoted rate is inclusive of rent/hiring charges complete.

Note for Item No 69 to 71 :- (a) Dewatering pump of suitable capacity shall be arranged by the contractor. (b) Material removed from the UG sumps/OHT's shall be deposited off at a distance of 50 mtrs away from. (c) UG sumps/OHT's shall be made available for cleaning for a period of 08 hours only. (d) Contractor has to arrange sufficient labour/T&P to complete the job with in the given period only

Supply of calcium based high strength chlorination chemical for water in granular form chlorine concentration level having 65%-70% Chlorine content packed in 45 Kg capacity in factory sealed HDPE Container superior quality suitable for treatment of drinking water complete all as specified and directed Make : Declibac /Potter and watts/Purichlor/ Sree Rayalseema Hi strength Hypo Ltd or any other E-in-C's approved make.

Note for item No 73 :- (i) Approval of chemical (Calcium hypochlorine) will be given after verification of test certifiate of chemical of various manufacture and other factor like chemical and safety and health hazard aspect of usage of chlororonation. (ii) The branch/make of the chlorination of chemical must be sealed in production and certified by Govt laboratory confirming compliance of specification suitable for dring water with a declaration from the laboratory that from the technical strength, stability, health safety and operation point of view this product is used for drinking water applications for consumption by humans and the brand.make of calcium hypochorite is suitable for drinking water chlorination and its sample has been tested by Govt Laboratory.

Removing of acumulated earth of any width and depth up to 30 cm. cleaning/cutting the grass and removing the grass waste to outside MD land. Note :- The unit rate is deemed to be included for the following :- (a) Cutting and filling shall be cleared of shrubs, vegetation, grass bush, weed, trees and sapling not exceeding 30 cm in girth, measured at a height of two metre above ground level. Useful material shall be stacked. (b) Cutting the grass/falling of trees shall include digging out roots up to 60 cm below the ground level or 14 cm below the formation level, whichever is lower. All holes and hollows formed in the ground digging out of roots shalll be carefully filled up with moorum/red bajri well rammed and levelled.

Taking down defective centrifugal pump set 60 HP to 83 HP capacity by disconnecting the pump from motor after unscrewing nuts/ bolts of coupling, foundation, suction pipe delivery pipes and shifting of pump to workshop for repair/ servicing, comprising strip opening of pump, replacement of any defective parts, carrying out necessary lathe work, re-assembling and shifting from workshop to site, re-installation at location as directed by Engr-in-Charge, testing on full load capacity at least for 8 hrs, complete all as specified and as directed. (Supply of spare parts shall be measured and paid for separately under respective items here-in-after). Make of Pump : Kirloskar Note :- (a) The spares shall be measured and paid seperately in the relevent items given below. (b) Cost of labour for replacement of spares and transportation are deemed to be incl in the quoted rate. (c) The pumpset shall be spared for one week for repair from the date of complaint given by AGE/ JE E/M regarding breakdown. The Contractor is responsible for making alternate arrangement of pump set in case of time required more than one week. (d) In case services affected due to delay in repair of pump set, a penalty of Rs 1000 per day will be levied from the contractor. (e) Please note that this penalty is exclusively other than the condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract. (f) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.

Drain out existing contaminated water from open well/ dug shallow well of size 20 mtr x 10 mtr depth upto 20 to 35 mtr by pumping with the help of diesel driven pump set of not less than 20 HP and pipe complete, taking out of waste materials/ sludge, loose soil from bottom surface of well upto 2 to 3 mtr depth with the help of lifting trolley and further digging and getting out soil upto 1 mtr depth of bottom surface of well, removing grass and vegetation from inner walls of well including disinfection with high power sodium hypo chlorite liquid of not less than 60% chlorine concentration to disinfect all pathogens and coliform organisms from the wall surfaces and bottom surface of well to make a safe and clean spring in the well complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Drain out existing contaminated water from open well/ dug shallow well of size 11 mtr x 11 mtr depth upto 20 to 35 mtr by pumping with the help of diesel driven pump set of not less than 20 HP and pipe complete, taking out of waste materials/ sludge, loose soil from bottom surface of well upto 2 to 3 mtr depth with the help of lifting trolley and further digging and getting out soil upto 1 mtr depth of bottom surface of well, removing grass and vegetation from inner walls of well including disinfection with high power sodium hypo chlorite liquid of not less than 60% chlorine concentration to disinfect all pathogens and coliform organisms from the wall surfaces of well to make a safe and clean spring in the well complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Note for item No 171 to 175 :- The tenderer shall take into consideration following points while quoting his rate for these items and the unit is rate deemed to be included for :-

(i) The above mentioned job to be done in restricted technical area of Air Force Stn Sulur. The tenderer are advised to visit the site before quoting the tender. On account of security reason no compensation or extra shall be admissible due to any misunderstanding or loss of man-hours.

(ii) Due to acute shortage of water, open wells will be handed over to carry out the job in phase manner by Engineer-in-Charge throughout the currency of the contract.

(iii) The contractor shall be provide dewatering pump of suitable capacity and mobile generator for operation of dewatering by high pressure submersible pump (or) Diesel driven high pressure pump and the rate quoted rate is inclusive of rent/hiring charge complete.

(iv) An necessary T&P to ensure safely of labours like safety jackets, ropes, nets, helmets, gumboots etc required will be the responsibility of the contractor.

(v) The potability of water is to be checked after filling fresh yield after cleaning and if the result is found not within the stipulated range, the cleaning and disinfection of well is to be repeated by the contractor without claiming any extra cost from the deptt.

(vi) Charges for water testing will be measured and paid seperately under respective item.

(vii) Material removed from the tank shall be disposed off at out side MD land.

(viii) Open well/ Dug Shallow well shall be made available for cleaning for a period of 2 days only and contractor has to arrange sufficient labour/ T&P to complete the job with the given period only. or otherwise penality shall be imposed @ Rs 2000/- per day.

(ix) Please note that this penalty is exclusively other than the condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract.

(x) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.

(xi) The unit rate is deemed to be included the cost of removing vegetaion/ grass/ trimming of tree branches etc from atleast 5 mtr surrounding of well and pumping room.

Arrangement of Chemical and bacteriological analysis of drinking water by collecting samples from different sources like UG sumps/ user end taps/ bore wells/ open wells/ etc located in 12 km periphery, collection of samples in sterrilized laboratory bottles/ cans, transportation to authorised Govt laboratory to deposit the samples in stippulated time, including payment of fees, collection and submit of reports to the Engineer-in-Charge complete all as directed.

Note for item No 188 :- (a) Cost of transportations for collection of sterrilized bottles from laboratory, deposition of collected samples in stipulated time, report collectiion after completion of tests, payment of fees to the laboratory for each sample, etc are deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (b) The rate quoted is considered to be for each sample. (c) Sample from different sources to be taken as per time schedule directed by Engineer-in-Charge throughout the currency of the contract. (d) Payment will be made after submission of report from authorised Govt laboratroy only.

Making arrangement to flush out the existing pipe line of any type 160 to 200 mm bore and upto 100m length, applying 4.5 N/sqmm pressure kg/sq cm pressure to remove scalings/ sludges/ other blocking materials to make smooth flow of water including testing all as specified and directed.

Making arrangement to flush out the existing pipe line of any type 110 to 150mm bore and upto 100m length, applying 4.5 N/sqmm pressure kg/sq cm pressure to remove scalings/ sludges/ other blocking materials to make smooth flow of water including testing all as specified and directed.

Note for item 190 & 191 :- (i) The Contractor is deemed to arrange necessary tools and equipments, removing or alteration of fittings from existing pipe lines, arragement of plugging devices, etc to build up specified pressure required to wash out the pipes. This will be inclusive in unit quoted rate. (ii) Excavation and earth work required will be measured and paid seperately. (iii) The flushing out will be carried out with fresh filled water of well only duly chlorinated with specified sodium hypochlorite solution to disinfect the pipe lines from all pathogens and Coliform organisms. Cost of same will be inclusive in unit quoted rate.

Excavation for taking out broken CI/DI pipe line upto 200/150mm dia, cutting of CI/DI pipe line upto 200mm dia at two portion with the help of electrical driven pipe cutter and levelling the cutting face of pipe with the electric driven grinder and then CI/DI welding by electric welding machine, fixing detacheble joint, tail piece etc then concreteting by PCC (1:4:8) type D-2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation filling and mass condrete, after repair of same pipe line, returning filling of excavated materials including removal of surplus soil complete all as specified.

Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation all as specified and directed. The unit quoted rate shall deem to be included for the following :- (i) Prior to installation of maintenance free chemical earthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthing work to be done in presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has to submit to Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection of earthing (not more than 04 number of earthing) to achive earth result less than 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testing and submission of report with recommendation deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.

(iii) Rate of earth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earth resistance reducing liquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor before commencement of work.

(v) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintened duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.

(vi) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(vii) The contractor shall give a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.

(viii) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock.

(ix) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is mainained.

(x) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing per each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor for the guarantee period.

(xi) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH valve should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.

(xii) The electrode shall carry manufacturer's name .

(xiii) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.

(xiv) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm should be fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end (copper strip will be measured and paid separately).

(xv) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.

(xvi) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bonded rod to ensure genuity of material.

(xvii) Sign board of mild steel 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing should be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.

(xviii) Earth work such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil.

M&L Earth pit cover made of heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 9.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm dia for each electrode pit complete all as specified and directed.
