M&L for Cutting out cracks 'V' section on existing roofs or terrace cleaning out and filling solidly with a hot mixture bitumen and clean dry sand 1:1 by weight complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Notes for all items :- The Basic Rate quoted against Ser item Nos. 1 to 52 shall be deemed to be included the following provisions and nothing extra will be paid for these provisions:- A. Supplying, erecting and use of scaffolding upto required height (max 25 to 30m) with necessary H-frames, pipes, couplers, buckles, bracing, top platform with support railing at top etc. at all levels of building including carriage of the materials to the location, erecting, fixing the scaffolding and dismembering the same after working and taking away the scaffolding materials etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. B. Supply, fixing & use of dust proof netting with all required accessories/ fixing arrangement so as to cover existing installations and arrest the materials generated during repair work in adjoining areas and to prevent damage or nuisance to the existing structure; including proper provision of netting system before start of work, removal after completion of work, carrying out regular cleaning etc. complete as per site requirement & directions of Engineer-In-Charge. C. Supporting the structural components temporarily during repair and strengthening works using heavy duty flat-headed steel pipes vertically in plumb, braced horizontally and diagonally at centre with each other using suitable heavy steel tubes, and resting on wooden blocks to support the structure provisionally during repairs and maintaining them in position for required duration, complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. D. Guarantee for period of 10 Years (ten years) after completion of work of roof treatment and wall treatment.

Taking down existing bitumen felt roof treatment including cement mortar bedding and cleaning the surface and removal outside the MoD land, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note :- (i). Taking down earthing strips incl insulators from roof for treatment and re-fixing of same with existing specification in the same position after laid APP membrance including replacement of broken insulators, PVC rawl plus & screws etc are deemed to be inclusive of rate quoted by the contractor. (ii). Unit rate quoted shall also include for removal of PVC water storage tank wherever existing carefully and refixing at the same or other position after completion of roof repair work. (iii). APP work shall be carried out on RCC PENT roof at 12 -15 mtr height (non accessible roof).

Demolition of cement concrete ground floor and paving nexc. 15 cm thickness (below above ground floor ) complete all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4, type B-0, using 12.5mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates as in padding to roof to maintain the required slope, including WPC by weight of total cement, same like as in chajjas, balconies, canopies, desk slabs and in shelves and finished the surface even and smooth without using extra cement, complete all as specified and directed. Note : WPC shall be measured and paid separately.

M&L for brushing neat cement slurry @ 3.00 Kg of cement per Sqm complete all as specifed and directed

M&L for 10 mm thick cement plaster in CM (1:3) on roof top and chajja and concrete surface mixed with WPC as per manufacturer’s instructions ,on concrete surfaces, finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed. Note : WPC shall be measured and paid separately.

M&L for water proofing treatment of roof consisting the following provisions, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge :- (a) Apply oil bound bituminous primer @ 0.40 Litre/Sqm manufactured by the same agency as that of APP with density of 0.87 to 0.89 Kg/Litre at 25 degree cesius conforming to IS-3384:1986 @ 0.30 litre/sqm including preparation of roof surfaces (b) A layer of 4mm thick APP polymeric membrane of weight not less than 4.50 kg/sqm, reinforced with polyester non-woven fabric (weight not less than 160gm/sqm), duly sealed at over laps & joints with end laps of the 10cm and side over laps of 7.5cm by flame (by torch application) all as per manufacturer’s instructions and as decribed here-in-after. (c) Laying of membrane shall be got done through authorized applicator of manufacturer.

Supply only water proofing liquid compound complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for applying two coats of Bitumen water proofing aluminium heat resistance paint on the roof as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for new or old external wall surface complete removal of existing treatment by wire brushing/grinding in order to remove dust, dirt, loose particles, laitance. Thereafter wash the surface with mechanical water nozzle with clean water & allow to dry. Fill visible cracks/ joints by crack seal compound and epoxy base joint filler including resin and hardener in proportion as per manufacturer’s instructions & allow to dry for 24 hours. Apply one coat of water based primer (with mechanically airless paint sprayer machine) and allow to dry for 6 hours approx. Thereafter apply 02 coats of water proofing treatment on wall WB high build anti carbonating cum water proofing including a coat of exterior grade weather proof acrylic emulsion paint (with mechanically airless paint sprayer machine) & match with brush at the interval of 08 hours between the coat and allow to dry to match the existing shade in camouflage pattern or plain paint including necessary scaffolding necessary security for the workers for any height, covering etc complete all as per specified and directed. Note:- External water proofing treatment on wall at any height of the building including acrylic paint shall be applied by mechanically Airless paint sprayer machine only.
