Material and labour for Complete removal of existing treatment, using mechanical sander with internal dust extraction system ,preparation of old surfaces for further coat on walls and Material and labour for priming the surfaces with Chalk whiting,incl one coat of 3mm putty on old plastered surfaces, prepara-tory to distempering and Material and labour for preparation of primed surfaces of wall, Distempering in two coats with 1st quality OBD of required shade and colour complete, as per manufacturer's specification all as specified

Material and labour for preparation of old surfaces of steel and iron work of any description over 10 cm width or girth not otherwise described and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint on old surfaces in any tint complete all as specified.

Material and labour for preparation of old surfaces of wood work of any description over 10 cm width or girth not otherwise described and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint on old surfaces in any tint complete all as specified. Note for item No 04 & 05:- (a) All synthetic enamel paint, shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified. (b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works. (c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint will be approved by the GE. (d) Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite) (e) Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE (f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval. (g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge. (h) No hair marks from the brush or clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.

Taking down cement plaster of any description on brick or stone walls/ceiling etc. incl racking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water, etc. and removal of the debris all as specified and directed.

Material and labour pre-cast PCC 1:3:6 type C1 (20 mm graded agg) cement concrete block masonry with solid blocks exc. 10cm in width and set in cement mortar 1:6 including demolition of Brickwork or stone/ boulder masonry, laid dry or with mortar and all as specified .

Material and labour for rendering 15 mm thick in CM 1:6 on fair faces of brick work/stone masonry finished even and smooth without using extra cement and Material and labour for preparation of new wall apply 3 coats of white wash all as specified

Material and labour for 20-25mm thick Machine cut kota stone slab greenish colour flooring , rubbing and polishing over cement screed base laid and jointed with grey cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slab including and over 25 mm thick PCC (1:2:4 ) type B1 using 20 mm graded stone agg as in sub base of floor levelling the existing floor and over Screed bed or bedding layer of mortar 20 mm thick in CM (1:4) for laying floor finishes and including demolition of old / existing concrete in ground floor approximately 40 mm thick not otherwise specifically provided and including and removal of the debris all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Joint free Non - skid dark Coloured Ceramic tiles 7 to 8 mm thick area of each tile exceeding 0.18 sqm but not exceeding 0.38 sqm, in floors etc. set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match, Roughening surfaces of old concrete floor by picking, sweeping clean and washing down with water to remove dust, etc. , Brushing neat cement slurry with 3.0kg of cement per sq. metre including Screed bed or bedding layer of mortar 15 mm thick in CM (1:4) for laying floor finishes and all as specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches in soft/loose soil not exceeding 1.5 mtr in width and not exceeding 1.5 mtr in depth for laying of cables for foundation and laying of cable/erecting poles up to proper level complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Returning and filling in soil including spreading levelling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm all as specified.

Material and labour for Spreading ribbed soil in trenches as in cable cushioning all as per IS 1255-1983 and as directed. Note :- Excavated approved soil shall be ribbed by using sieve to separate composite particles etc as per IS and refilling in trenches before laying of cable 8 CM and 15 CM after laying of cable. This is than gently punned down to a depth of 10 cm above the top of upper most cable (ii) For the purpose of measurement only punned thickness only will be considered for payment.

Material and labour for well burnt as class ‘B’ bricks as mechanical protection to under ground cables laying with length of the bricks equal to the width of the trench complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Removing surplus excavated material from excavation not exc 50 meter and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5 meter above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India along with 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation including taking down existing one all as directed. The quoted rate is deemed to be included the following :- (i) Prior to installation of maintenance free chemical earthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthing work to be done in presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has to submit to Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection of earthing (not more than 04 number of earthing) to achive earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testing and submission of report with recommendation deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.

(iii) Rate of earth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earth resistance reducing liquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor before commencement of work.

(v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH valve should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.

(vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm should be fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end ( copper strip will be measured and paid separately).

(vii) Testing of earth shall be carried out in presence of departmental and user representative and report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concern.

(viii) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(ix) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.

(x) The contractor shall given a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.

(xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock.

(xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is maintained.

(xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing per each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor for the guarantee period.

(xv) The connection clamp shall be permanently welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,. The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.

(xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.

(xvii) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified doCument for copper bonded rod to ensure genuity of material.

(xviii) Sign board of mild steel 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing should be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.

(xix) Earth work such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil.

Copper strip 20 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc including taking down existing one all as directed. NOTE : All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing.

Material and labour for Earth pit cover made of heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 9.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm dia for each electrode pit complete including taking down all as specified and directed. Make : Model SEPC 250 of SAFE TRODE/ Electro grip Model/ EGTEK3LC of ISG Global or equivalent in OBO Betterman/ ERICO.
