Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces exc 50 mm and not exc 100 mm deep in area exceeding 400 Sqm complete all as specified.

75 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM with coarse aggregate (granite) of grading II (40 to 63mm size) spread, voids filled with screenings and blinded with coarse sand rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified.

Preparing surface of unsurfaced water bound mecadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified.

Applying evenly a priming coat of paving bitumen of grade VG-10 @ 10Kg /10 Sqm on unsurfaced surfaces i.e pot holes and WBM surfaces complete all as specified.

Preparing surface of black top by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified.

Applying evenly a priming/tack coat of paving bitumen of grade VG-10 @ 5Kg /10 Sqm on black top surface complete all as specified.

Premix bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) with binder content 4% by weight of total mix, rolled with 8 to 12 ton power road roller and compacted to required camber, gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

Bituminous pre-mixed asphaltic dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness, with 6% binder content by weight of total mix, using paving bitumen of VG 10, spread,rolled and consolidated with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to required gradient and camber complete all as specified. Note : (i) Automatic hot mixing plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing of aggregate, bitumen etc for premix dense asphaltic concrete and mix for both items shall be laid with mechanical pavers. (ii) Quantity of bitumen in dense asphaltic concrete shall be used as per design mix and shall be approved by the GE. Any variation in quantity of bitumen in desigm mix shall be priced as specified in the particular specification through deviation order. Unit rate quoted shall deemed to include the cost of design mix.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified.

Removing spoil (material obtained from scarifying) to a distance exceeding 500 metres but not exceeding 1000 metres and depositing where directed complete all as specified.

PCC 1:3:6 type C-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in surface channels/drains complete all as specified.

Extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 60 cm inner girth in forms, moulds/stopped ends etc complete all as specified.

2.5mm thick road marking strips (reflective) of specified shade colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine, fitted with profile shoe, gum beds dispenser propane tank healers and profile shoe heater drivern by skilled operator on road surfaces including cleaning the road surface of all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc as per applicator specifications complete all as specified.
