GENERAL NOTES COMMONLY APPLICABLE TO ITEM NO 1.01 TO 1.08 (1) Scope Limitation : These items cover mechanical repair, overhauling, replacement, alignment, and refixing of sliding hangar door shutters and associated mechanical components only. Electrical/motorized systems, if any, are excluded. (2) Experienced Manpower All works shall be executed only through skilled and experienced workmen having proven experience in handling and repairing large sliding steel hangar doors or similar heavy industrial doors. contd....
SPECIAL RESPONSE & PENALTY NOTE (APPLICABLE TO ITEM NO 1.09) (1) Attendance & Inspection The contractor shall attend the site within 24 hours of intimation, inspect the complaint, assess the defect, and take necessary immediate action to ensure safety and functionality. (2) Rectification Period Where replacement of parts or major rectification is involved, the contractor shall complete the work within the time period approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. (3) Penalty Clause In case the contractor fails to attend the site within 24 hours of intimation, recovery at the rate of ₹500 per day per door shall be effected till the date of attendance, without prejudice to the department’s right to get the work executed through other agencies at the risk and cost of the contractor.
REPAIRS TO ROLLING SHUTTERS
M&L for routine repair and maintenance of existing rolling shutters without taking down, of any size complete all as specified and directed, including: (i) Inspection of shutter, guide channels, rollers, spring assembly, hood/top cover, and all moving parts. (ii) Cleaning of shutter, rails, guide channels, rollers, and moving parts. (iii) Lubrication, greasing, and oiling of rollers, shafts, bearings, springs, and locking arrangements. (iv) Adjustment or tightening of loose nuts, bolts, screws, and minor fittings. (v) Minor welding, straightening, or rectification to ensure smooth, noiseless, and jerk-free operation. (vi) Alignment of shutter leaves, guide channels, and bottom lock plate for proper functioning. NOTES: (1) The rate includes all labour, tools, plants, scaffolding, ladders, lifting arrangements, minor consumables, and safety equipment required for execution. (2) Replacement of major components such as laths, springs, rollers, shafts, or gear assemblies shall be measured and paid separately under relevant “Supply Only” items. (3) Any damage caused to the shutter or surrounding structure during execution shall be rectified by the contractor at his own cost. (4) Doors shall be handed over in smooth, safe, and fully functional condition to the satisfaction of Deptt.
Supply only 1.0 mm thick interlocking steel lath strips for manual / push-pull rolling shutters up to 12.0 sqm, including mild steel clips at both ends, complete all as specified and directed.
Supply only 1.25 mm thick interlocking steel lath strips for gear-operated rolling shutters up to 35.0 sqm, including mild steel clips at both ends, complete all as specified and directed.
Supply only mild steel spring, 75 mm to 150 mm dia, made of high tensile steel wire conforming to IS: 4454, having 60 to 80 helical turns for smooth working condition of rolling shutters, complete all as specified and directed.
Supply only mild steel anchoring rod, 50 mm dia, for rolling shutters, complete all as specified and directed.
Supply only bevel or chain gear assembly suitable for gear-operated rolling shutters, including crank handle, chain, bearings, and fixings, complete all as specified and directed.
Supply only mild steel rollers with suitable diameter, section, bearings, and locking pins for rolling shutters, complete all as specified and directed.
Supply only fabricated mild steel sheet hood/top cover for rolling shutters, 1.0 mm thick, cut and shaped to size with proper stiffening using angle/flat stiffeners at top and bottom edges, edges beaded or formed as required, suitable for fixing to bracket plates, complete as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Supply only fabricated mild steel lock plate (bottom lock plate / bottom rail) for steel rolling shutters, fabricated to suit the width of the existing shutter opening, of riveted construction, made out of mild steel sheet not less than 3.15 mm thick, reinforced at bottom with mild steel angle section not less than 35 × 35 × 5 mm, designed to be interlocked with the bottom-most lath of the curtain, complete with sliding bolts with arrangement for pad locking and mild steel pulling handles (one handle for widths up to 2.5 m and two handles for widths above 2.5 m, fixed on both interior and exterior faces), strictly conforming to SSR Part-I, 1991, Para 10.23.3, IS 6248 and relevant General Specifications, complete all as specified and directed.

REPAIRS TO FLOORINGS, RCC SLABS ETC
Dismantling Floor, Paver Tiles, Hearth or Wall Tiling, etc. including Cement Mortar Bedding (but not backing) and removing debris, etc. to Outside MD/AF Land, complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for providing non-skid/matt finish Ceramic tiles, coloured, 7-8 mm thick (Square / rectangular), area of each tile exc 0.11 Sqm but not exceeding 0.18 Sqm in Flooring, set and jointed in Neat Cement Slurry and pointed in White or Colour Cement to match the tiles laid over and incl 15mm thick Screed or Screed Bed in Cement Mortar 1:4, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE : Cost of Cement Screed Bed shall deem to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate.
M&L for Coloured Glazed Ceramic Tiles in vertical surface 450mm X 350mm X 6-7mm thick set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or colour cement to match the Tiles, laid over and including 10mm thick rendering as Screed or backing coat of wall tile in Cement Mortar 1:3, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE : Cost of Cement Screed Bed shall deem to be included in the Quoted Unit Rate.
M&L for Dismantling Stone Slabs and/or Tiles of any description or thickness in Floors, Aprons, etc. laid, bedded and pointed in Cement Mortar, removal of debris outside AF land, cleaning of area to remove dust, loose particles, washing with water complete all as specified and directed.
Demolition Cement Concrete (Reinforced) of kitchen slab, and similar work (reinforcement cut as required to facilitate demolition) and removing debris, etc. to Outside MOD Land, complete all as specified and directed.
M&L Reinforced Cement Concrete 1:2:4 type B0 (12.5mm graded stone aggregate) as in Shelves, Chajja, Facia, Sunshade and Similar Items and smooth finishing at Top side using extra Cement, complete all as specified and directed. (NOTE: MS reinforcement & Formwork shall be measured and paid seperately)
M&L for formwork to soffits of suspended slabs such as roof slabs, floor slabs, landings and similar work; not exceeding 200 mm thick (horizontal or sloping) for rough finished surfaces complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for formwork to edges of concrete flats, treads, breaks in floors, window cills, concrete railings, openings in concrete walls, floor and roofs n exc 20 cm wide and sides of RCC/ PCC bands in walls, horizontal or sloping and similar work exc 10cm but n exc 20cm wide for rough finished surfaces complete all as specified and directed
M&L TMT Bars 10mm dia and over, cut to length bent to shape required including cranking, bending spirally for hoping for Columns, hooking Ends and binding with and incl Mild Steel Wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia or securing with Clips, complete all as specified and directed.
Demolition Cement Concrete (un-reinforced) of any description in Ground Floors, Pavings, etc. not exc. 150mm thickness (above or below Ground Level) and removing debris, etc. to Outside AF Land, complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for Cement Concrete 1:2:4 type B0 (12.5mm graded stone aggregate) as in Coping, Bed Plates, Holdfast, Bed Block, Kerb Stones including necessary Formwork and weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating, complete all as specified and as directed.
REPAIRS TO JOINERY, CABINETS, GLAZING, BIRDPROOFING ETC
Taking down damaged / unserviceable Steel / Wooden Chowkat or Frame exc. 1.50 Sqm but not exc. 4.00 Sqm Each with shutter (without taking off shutter from the frame) and removal from site incl cutting holes in brickwork for removal of holdfasts complete all as specified and directed.
Taking down Shutters of any description exc 1.0 sqm and not exc 2.0 Sqm each, keeping aside for re-use or removal from site complete all as specified and directed.
M&L Cement Concrete 1:3:6 type C0 (12.5mm graded stone aggregate) as in Filling Back side of Chowkats and for filling holdfast holes in brickwork finished even and smooth complete all as specified and directed.
S&F sheet glass 4.8 mm thick, ordinary quality (or tinted, if specified), and glazing with oil putty/approved glazing compound in squares, exceeding 0.50 sqm in each pane, in windows, fixed ventilators, fixed steel sections over doors, including proprietary/NCL steel window and door systems, complete all as specified and as directed
S&F in repair scratch- and strain-free 18–19 mm thick PVC board (weight not less than 9 kg/m²) for kitchen cabinets (shelves, doors, etc.), laminated on one side, joints made using PVC solvent adhesive, and fixed with self-tapping aluminium screws. Includes providing and fixing stainless steel L-shaped hinges suitable for PVC board (minimum 2 per door leaf) to hold cabinet doors, and stainless steel silver-chrome door handles, 100 mm long (1 per door leaf), complete all as specified and directed. NOTE: Quoted unit rates are inclusive of PVC board, handles, hinges, screws, and all accessories.
Supply only of stainless steel horizontal mortice lock suitable for NCL make steel door, of approved make and specification, including all fasteners and fittings, complete all as specified and directed NOTE: Installation, fixing, alignment, testing and commissioning of the lock shall be deemed to be included in the connected item for taking down and refixing of NCL steel door shutter.
Supply only of moisture-proof, termite-resistant composite/PVC/phenolic resin board panel for bottom portion of NCL steel door shutter, minimum 10 mm thick (or as approved), including sealant, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE: (1) Fixing, sealing, finishing, alignment and commissioning shall be deemed included in the connected item for taking down and refixing of NCL steel door shutter. (2) Only the actual size of panel fixed in the shutter shall be measured and paid. No extra payment shall be made for wastage or cutting losses.
Supply only of 5–6 mm thick tinted glass panel for NCL steel door shutter of approved size, including glazing clips, rubber/neoprene packing and sealant, complete all as specified and directed NOTE: (1) Fixing, glazing, sealing, finishing, making good, alignment and commissioning shall be deemed included in the connected item for taking down and refixing of NCL steel door shutter. (2) Only the actual size of glass fixed in the shutter shall be measured and paid. No extra payment shall be made for wastage or cutting losses.

S&F Chlorinated Polyethylene Chloride (CPVC) pipes 20 mm outside dia, SDR-11, having thermal stability for hot and cold water supply incl all SDR-11 CPVC plain and brass threaded fittings (such as Bends, Elbows, Tees, Short Pieces, Connectors, Back - Nuts Caps, Plugs, Unions, Flange (core) & flange (ring), reduction Tee, reducing socket, Male & female threaded socket, tank connector etc) fixed/laying walls, ceilings or in floors etc. with suitable size MS clamp of spacing 1.00 mtr etc pipe line complete all as specified & directed.

Includes excavation and removal of material from the sides of the drain to a distance of 100 m from the site, complete as specified and directed. NOTE:- (1) Length of drain in running meters (RM) shall be measured for payment. (2) Rates for removal of grass, shrubs, or vegetation from inside the drain are included; no extra depth shall be measured for the height of vegetation removed.
