Maintenance and servicing of following Diesel Generator sets by carrying out routine 'A' check of the engine complete for smooth functioning all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed :- NOTES:- (i) Control switches , MCCB's, contactors, multi display meters , Engine control unit out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall be exclusive for servicing/ maintenance of the above item of work. (ii) Servicing of DG set alongwith connected Alternator and Panel Board including 'A' check of the Engine shall be carried out once in every month (Except during the month when 'B' check is carried out) as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenenace period and shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenence / breakdown repairs as and when required in that period except in case of major repairs. (iii) Spare parts required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid separately at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares shall be deemed to be inluded in the rate quoted . (iv) Cost of all consumables required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. NOTES:- (i) Control switches , MCCB's, contactors, multi display meters , Engine control unit is out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall be exclusive for servicing/ maintenance of the above item of work. (ii) 'B' check shall be carried out once in every six months or 250 hours of running of DG Set whichever is earlier. Servicing of DG Set alongwith connected Alternator and Panel Board including items covered in 'A' check of the Engine shall also be carried out in that month as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenance period and he shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG Set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenance / breakdown repairs as and when required in that period except in case of Major repairs. (iii) Spare parts , engine oil and radiaton coolant oil required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid seperately at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares/filling of oils shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (iv) Cost of all consumables, diesel / oil filters etc., required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. Overhauling of following mentioned Self Starter assembly of DG Set by disconnecting and removing from the engine , cleaning all accessories, replace the wornout parts like :- brushes, bushes, contact plates, jumping leads and seals, revarnishing the field coil, armature and reassembling the same , refitting to the engine , including testing on load after repairs all as directed . Self starter assembly, 24 Volt DC [Make - Delco Remi]/ Self starter assembly, 24 Volt DC [Make - lucas TVS ]

Checking for over heating of engine and raise in range of water temp guage above normal , disconnecting the radiator hoses and taking down the radiator assembly complete from the engine , dismantling the top & bottom chambers , descaling the sediments and scales , corrosion etc., by means of acid cleaning and high pressure water washing , air blast cleaning , re- assembling the same with new gaskets, including arresting leakage , if any and fixing to the engine with new hoses ,clips all as required and directed. Note : The rate qouted shall be inclusive of transporting of the radiator to the workshop and back and all incidental charges. (a) 250 KVA DG Set .

Spray painting of LT/AMF panel etc by applying one coat of primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint as approved by Engineer-in-charge duly scratching out old corroded area of the surface including providing hinges by welding to the door of panels as required all as specified & directed.

M&L for earthing complete with using copper plate 60×60cm ×3.15mm thick earth electrode and 20×3mm copper strip thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metre below ground level) with top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5 metre below ground level, connected to 20×3mm copper strip by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part I connected to earth test point all as specified or indicated including excavation and connected earth work, in soft/loose soil, removing soil upto 50m, PCC 1:3:6 type C1 as in pit, 20mm dia GI pipe medium grade for watering pipe, 40mm bore GI medium grade earth lead protection pipe, 50mm thick RCC 1:2:4 type B1 cover slab of earth pit reinforced with 8 mm dia TMT Bars @ 10cm C/C both ways and with handle made out of 20mm dia bars, funnel, strainer, alternate layer of charcoal dust and common salt and testing on completion , complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches in soft/loose soil not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m deep for laying of pipes,complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling of excavated soil in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layer not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance exc.50m and not exc 1.5 mtr and depositing at the location all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and spread dry sand in trenches for cable cushioning all as per clause 19.75 in SSR Part I.

Supply and lay un-reinforced pre-cast concrete cable cover class LV, type 1, flat, size 250mm x 150mm x 40mm for cable protection in trenches all as specified and as directed.

Supply and Laying GI Pipe light grade 80 mm dia for protection of UG cable.

M&L for PCC foundation with cement mortor, and 40mm graded aggregate 1:2:4 type B2, for DG set

Supply and fix ON load change over front operating switch 415 volts in open execution 4 pole 400 Amps including taking out old unserviceable change over switch all as directed.

Material and labour for display board made of white coloured 6.0mm thick foam sheet with vinyl stickering of required colour to indicate symbols/letters as approved/directed by Engr-in-charge for displaying schematic diagrams/letter/directions/any other purpose etc complete including fixing/achoring on wall/wooden or MS doors etc all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Note : The content/symbol of the display boards shall be approved by the Engr-in-charge prior to fabrication.
