Supplying and fixing of the teak wood door shutter using seasoned teak wood (T.W.) planks of uniform grain, free from knots, shakes, sapwood and other defects. The shutter shall be constructed with stiles and rails of adequate section to ensure structural rigidity, and panel infill made of 40 mm thick teak wood planks of approved quality. All members shall be planed true, accurately cut, jointed with mortise and tenon joints, and securely glued and fixed to achieve a smooth and stable shutter surface. The shutter shall be machine-pressed where required to maintain dimensional accuracy. Edges shall be finished neatly, and the entire shutter shall be sanded to an even, smooth surface ready for polishing or painting. The work shall include providing openings for tower bolts, handles, aldrop, hinges, and other furniture fittings, ensuring proper alignment. All teak wood used shall comply with standard specifications for moisture content and density, ensuring durability and termite resistance. The shutter shall be installed true to line and plumb, complete as directed by the departmental officers.
