Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushed for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc then applying evenly a priming /tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen of VG-30 Grade at 5 kg per 10 sq mtrs thereafter Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete, 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content Paving bitumen VG-30 grade by weight of total mix, mixed in hot mix plant, laid using mechanical paver, rolled with 8 to 10 tonne power roller and compacted to required camber and gradient completed all as directed.

Repairs to potholes any depth not exc 1sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or watering, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc. cutting arounds edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as directed.

Preparation of new or previously treated surfaces to receive the thermoplastic paste and marking of guide lines, dashed arrows, letters etc with reflective thermoplastic paste 2 to 2.5 mm thick using marking machine, white, golden, yellow or black colour as required using glass beads necessary for achieving reflection on roads pavements and the like as per BS 6088 complete all as directed. Note : 1. Unit rate quoted by the contractor include for provision of red signals to keep off trafic from work, cleaning road surface and working during odd hours when traffic is light. 2. The line marking shall stand out boldly and solidly without showing any signs of scratch marks or surfaces underneath, if necessary the surface shall be remarked after removal of existing treatment untill the desired result is obtained.

Precast cement concrete 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in kerb stone with plain fair faces including chamfers, weathreing, throating etc and set joined and pointed in cement mortar 1:6 along road of minimum size 450mm long x 150mm wide x 300mm depth including necessary form work, earthwork and excavation in hard / dense soil complete all as directed.
