Hardening of outer surface of backhoe bucket (volume - 0.9 m3) of hydraulic Excavator by plasma cut tiles of size 100 * 100 mm by hard deposition on MS plate of IS 2062 grade (size- min 6mm) of Cr - C type deposition (size- min 4mm) having hardness in the range of min 54-58 HRc. Total thickness min (6+4)mm. Minimum number of tiles to be welded is 120. The bucket internal surface hardface with hard-facing electrode of core dia (3.15mm) made up of good quality abrasion resistant alloy of Fe - Cr - C type deposition having hardness in the range of 58 - 64 HRc. The hardface deposition on inner surface is min 30kg. The joining electrode (3.15mm) is versatile electrode for Med Carbon steel, Low alloy steel & Mn steel with very low heat input so that it ensures minimal heat afftected zone hence enhancing base metal life and high ductility with tensile strength of min 84000 psi (58 Kg/mm2. This includes the labour for hard facing and joining electrode and to and fro transportation of buckets from site to workshop.
