External Painting of 6900 KL MSLBT- 01 and Water Sprinkler and Foam Piping Network of LBT-01 and 02, SR Tank and Associated Piping Network at NRPL Bijwasan

Tank Surface Preparation and Painting works:

Supply and application of paint on tank external surfaces, sprinklerline, foam line, etc. (all the areas mentioned above for surfacepreparation are considered in this line item). scope of work of the contractor includes supply of paint,tools & tackles,labours ,allequipments etc. Painting system shall be as follows: FIRST COAT: surface tolerant epoxy primer (greater than 80% solid by vol.) minimum125 micron per coat x 2 coats 2nd coat: acrylic isocyanate aliphatic Polyurethane coat (50% min. solid by vol.) with coat 50 microns DFT (min) byspray application (Gloss retention minimum 80 % under 1000 hours of QUVA. Colour will be as per Site.

Surface preparation of Roof & Shell Area includes complete roof, windgirder with handrails/supports, shell, primary wind girder and 2.0 m from top of shell inside, sprinkler rings, Tank shell, secondary windgirder, shell nozzles, etc. The scope of work of the contractor includessupply of paint, tools & tackcles,laburs, all equipments etc. Surface preparation using using hand tool cleaning including removal of oil, grease and other contaminants by solvent cleaning followed by removal of defective paint, loose mill scale, loose rust, loose paint, weld flux,slag from the metallic surfaces, by hand chipping, hand brushing, handscrappers/chisels, steel wools, final cleaning with High pressure (10000 PSI ) low TDS fresh soft water jet cleaning including water supplyand drying with compressed air as per the specifications and directionsof Site Engineer. Prepared surface shall conform to WJ-4 as per NACE no.5/SSPC SP-12 standards.

Letter Writing

Reflective radium sticker letter printing and apply in background stickering including pasting and fixing with supply of all manpower, equipments, tools, tackles, consumables, non-consumables, scaffolding (separate SOR item) working at any height etc. as per instruction of EIC/ Site Engineer to complete work in all respects

Lettering with black Japan paint of approved brand and manufacture. [Note: Unit "EA" shall mean "PER LETTER PER CM HEIGHT"].

Double scaffolding system

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven story height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of the Engineer-in-Charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.
