SITC of commercial FRP sand filter repair and TC of existing defunct water softening plant and SITC of UV filtration and operation and maintenance for 03 years at campus of Nivedita Kunj at sector 10 R k Puram New Delhi -110022

Providing and fixing Free standing multi -port/ butterfly valve Sand Filter of min size 1047 mm dia & 2292 mm height (+/-5% variation as per manufactures recommendation) of FRP Vessel having design pressure up to 5 kg/ cm2 and working pressure upto 3.5 kg/ cm2 of approved make for filtration of borewell water supply to lower the present Total Suspended Solids (TSS) by min. 90% of inlet TSS. The filtration system Sand Filter System must be of Capacity of 25-30 m³/hr, Capable of running continuously for 10 hours / per day to achieve total water filtration required per day of 2.5-3 lakh litter/each unit. The Sand Filter must consist of 3- layer beds having Top layer: Fine sand (to removes turbidity, suspended solids), with Middle layers: Coarse Silex and bottom layers i.e Supporting beds of Gravel (for strength, stability). Note- 1. The Sand Media Filter body shall be made of FRP vessels having MPV/BFV 65-80 Nb, media (1.5-2 tons) etc, all-inclusive with 5 Year warranty against manufacturing defects of vessel and 3 year for filter media. 2. All required piping are included in this item. Agency shall have to provide and fix the above system and connect it to the existing water softener plant and making this filtration system operational. No Extra payment shall be made for any item related to above work. 3. Agency will have to provide manual for SOPs of this plant and shall have to make easy arrangements for back washing, easy arrangement for daily operation all as per direction of engineer in charge.

Proving and fixing agitator with regeneration tank of HPDE having capacity 1000 litre for mixing of salt in water to recharge the resin of softener plant. The agitator must contain 1 HP induction motor of 750 watts of make Crompton, Kirloskar, or KSB or equivalent with impeller of required length and stainless-steel blades and as per direction of Engineer in Charge.

Providing and fixing of an industrial-grade, fully automatic Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection System with a capacity of 25,000 liters per hour for potable water disinfection of approved make as per direction of engineer in charge to lower the present Escherichia Coli from 100-150 Cfu to Zero i.e. up to not detectable limit and Total Coliform from 30-50 cfu to Zero i.e. up to not detectable limit. The system should effectively inactivate bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and other harmful microorganisms without the use of chemicals. The UV system must operate at a wavelength of 250-260 nm (germicidal range) and deliver a disinfection efficiency of at least 99.99%. The body of the system should be made of stainless steel, SS316, and be prefabricated for easy installation and maintenance. It should include lamp status indicators for monitoring, be compatible with local voltage standards i.e. 230 Volts Single Phase , and come with a minimum one-year warranty. Installation and commissioning should be carried out as per the instructions of the engineer in charge.

Procurement and supply of Ion-Exchange Resin of approved make as per direction of engineer in charge, suitable for existing potable water softener plant to remove the hardness from 1000-1100 mg/ltr to max 200 mg\ ltr (removal of hardness more than 80% of inlet hardness) , strictly conforming to BIS IS 7330:1988 standards for ion exchange resins and IS 10500:2012 potable water safety specifications. Resin appearance must be clean, spherical, with uniform bead size ranging from 0.3 to 1.2 mm (standard or as specified), possessing bulk density between 0.75 and 0.85 g/ml, and a minimum ion exchange capacity of 1.8 meq/ml. The resin must be free from toxic and hazardous leachates. A minimum 3-year warranty against resin is required. A valid BIS certificate confirming suitability for potable water and absence of harmful leaching substances as per Indian standards must be provided. And as per direction of Engineer in Charge. Note:- Supply, filling and making operational an existing softening plant as and when required by engineer in charge.

Procurement and supply of industrial-grade High Purity sodium chloride salt (water softener salt) of approved make as per direction of engineer in charge suitable for resin recharge in potable water softener plants. The salt must strictly adhere to BIS IS 797:1982 (Specification for Industrial Grade Salt) or equivalent BIS standards, ensuring high purity (minimum 99.5% NaCl), low moisture, and minimal insoluble content. It must be clean, white, crystalline, odourless, non-toxic, and free from impurities that may adversely affect resin performance or water quality. The supplier must provide a valid BIS certificate confirming compliance with IS 797:1982 or relevant BIS norms, along with a minimum 3-month quality warranty. The salt packaging should be properly sealed to prevent moisture ingress and ensure safe handling. Note:- Supply to made as and when required by engineer in charge.

Operation and maintenance of water treatment cum softening plant i/c recharging resin through brine solution and back washing of Sand media filter on a daily basis or twice a day per recommendation of OEM to ensure effective working of Softening plant. One dedicated and trained operator shall be deployed by the agency through out of month on daily basis who shall be responsible for recharging resin and back washing of Sand media filter including day to day maintenance of plant whenever required for at least 3 year i.e. Guarantee period of filter media and resin.
