Supply only high strength Calcium based granular chlorination chemical of following specifications for Water treatment in sealed packing of 45 Kgs HDPE Jars to be supplied at MES store yard, AGE E/M Office as directed by Engr-in- Charge. (a) Chemical analysis & physical observations: (i) Description: Whitish granules (ii) Granular size (Mesh passing through – 100 BSS): 1.1 (± 0.1) % (iii) Water / moisture: 5.00 (± 0.2) % (iv) Other insoluble Calcium salts: 1.1 (± 0.1) % (v) Mercury & other Heavy Metal contaminants: BDL (vi) The chlorination chemical must contain appropriate quantities of dispersants / corrosion inhibitors to prevent encrustation / scaling in distribution systems. (b) Strength in terms of quantity of chlorination chemical required to obtain free chlorine of 1 ppm per lakh liters of water requirement must be 140 - 160 gm per one lakh liter of water to achieve 1 ppm Av. Cl. at injection point ( contains not less than 60 to 70% active chlorine ). (c) Stability: Projected shelf life of chlorination chemical must be one year with minimal loss of chlorine. (d) Handling of chlorination chemical for regular chlorination: (i) Operational considerations: Must be safe to use in terms of level of insoluble components. There must be no risks relating to encrustations in equipment and pipelines, no sludge generation, no hard water scaling in supply water.

Supply only Organic Chlorine Water Treatment Disinfecent Granules (Sodium Dichloro Iso Cyanurate (NaDCC)) having Chlroine content 60 - 65% for chlorination, packed in 45 Kg Drums to MES Store yard AGE E/M Office as directed by Engr -In -Charge.

Supply only Lime Dehydrated in 25 Kgs plastic bags to MES Store yard AGE E/M Office as directed by Engr -In -Charge.

Calcium Hypo Chlorite (Bleaching Powder) Grade - I with concenteration of active chlorine not less than 20% as Per IS specficattions in 25 Kgs Bags to MES Store yard AGE E/M Office as directed by Engr -In -Charge. Note for Sr Item No 1 to 4: (a) The brand and make of the chlorination chemical must be recommended and certified by All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health (Govt. of India), confirming compliance to all the above specifications with a declaration from the laboratory that from the technical, strength, stability, health, safety, and operational point of view, as well as the fact that this product is used for drinking water applications for consumption by humans, the brand and make of Calcium based granular chlorination chemical, bleachig powder & NaDCC are suitable for drinking water chlorination and are recommended for use. Make: All makes approved by NMPT Committee of E-in-C’s Branch/Zonal CEs. (b) Purchase voucher & test certificates to be submitted alongwith stores. (c) Empty Drums will be returned to the contractor as and when made empty and suitable credit will be taken thereoff. (d) Testing of Material brought by contractor will be carried out by the outside firm/Labs at least accredited from NABL at his own cost and reports submitted to Engr-in-Charge within 10 days of giving materials. (e) Expiry of Each drum should be mentioned on it and should not be earlier than 1 year from the date of Supply. Notes :- (a) The contract sum shall be arrived at after deduction of amount of Schedule of Credit. (Rs. 4432.00).
