CABLE LAYING
Handling, shifting of cable drums from site-store / yard to the installation location, unpacking, laying of cables / wires in cable trays (either located above ground or inside RCC cable trenches) / directly buried underground(rate for excavation and backfiling is covered elsewhere) / in sand filled cable trenches (trench constructed by others, rate for sandfiling is covered elsewhere) / through above ground conduits (PVC / GI) clamped on wall or structure or through floor conduits (excluding lighting circuit cables, from SLDB / ESLDB onwards upto the lighting fixtures) - as recommended by MANUFACTURER / applicable construction documents and other associated work so as to ensure the completeness of installation work
Testing, precommissioning and commissioning activities are included in the scope.
Supply and installation of certified trefoil clamps of non-magnetic material, spacer bars and saddles, dressing of cables using Stainless Steel cable ties, cable tags and ferrules (including all fixing hardware) as per the site requirement are included in the scope.
Supply of water / fireproof compound (of reputed make) and sealing of openings for cable entries by applying the same (whether spare openings or openings with cables passing throughand Fire retardant coating (to be applied on all cables in cable cellar)) is included in the scope. Refer 'Annex-EW4-6' - 'Details of openings to be sealed', for quantity estimation of sealant to be applied at various locations.
Minor civil work such as chipping / drilling of through-holes / cutouts in floor / walls, replastering and making area good after work done, providing sleeves during the cable laying as per the site requirement and replastering the same (including the supply of consumable material for the same) is included in the scope.
Installation of cable route markers (as applicable) shall be as per 'Installation Details - Power' and applicable construction documents.

DISMANTLING ACTIVITIES

Supply of consumables tools and tackles, safety items, scaffolding , crane of suitable capacity etc. Contractor shall use suitable vehicles for transportation, loading/ unloading.
