WBKP/CP/NIT-81/ Thorough renovation of Mess, repairing of floor and ceiling of Ground Floor, the main building of 5th Battalion KAP/ 2nd Call/ TEN, Dated- 12.03.2026

2nd Call for Thorough Renovation of Mess, Reparing of floor and ceiling of ground floor, the Main Building of 5th Battalian situated at 7/N, Commercial Building, Kolkata 700054, during the year of 2025-26.

Stripping off worn out plaster and raking out joints of walls, celings etc. upto any height and in any floor including removing rubbish within a lead of 75m as directed.

Cleaning the concrete surface by removing dirt and debris, marking defective locations and removing loose concrete by careful stripping untill hard surface is exposed, cutting the concrete to regular shape, wire brushing the exposed surface and removing debris from site complete as per direction of the Engineer - in - Charge.

Cleaning the exposed corroded Reinforcement as well as worn out concrete by sand blasting with air compressor including all materials, hire charges of machineries and labour etc. all complete as per technical specification and direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Guniting concrete surface with cement mortar (25 mm nominal thick) applied with compressor after cleaning surface and spraying with epoxy complete as per Technical specification

Applying 2 coats of bonding agent with synthetic multi functional rubber emulsion having adhesive and water proofing properties by mixing with water in proportion (1 bonding agent : 4 water : 6 cement) as per Manufacturer's specification [Cement to be supplied by the Department]

Plaster (to wall, floor, ceiling etc.) with sand and cement mortar including round off or chamfering corners as directed and raking out joints including throating, nosing and drip course, scaffolding/staging where necessary (Ground floor).[Excluding cost of chipping over concrete surface] (iii) With 1:6 cement mortar (b) 15 mm thick plaster Ground floor

Plaster (to wall, floor, ceiling etc.) with sand and cement mortar including round off or chamfering corners as directed and raking out joints including throating, nosing and drip course, scaffolding/staging where necessary (Ground floor).[Excluding cost of chipping over concrete surface] With 1:4 cement mortar (a) 10mm thick plaster

(b) Rendering the surface of walls and ceiling with white cement based wall putty of approved make and brand(1.5mm thick)

Acrylic Distemper to interior wall, ceiling with a coat of solvent based interior grade acrylic primer (as per manufacturer's specification) including cleaning and smoothning of surface. Two Coats

Priming one coat on timber or plastered surface with synthetic oil bound primer of approved quality including smoothening surfaces by sand papering etc.

(a) Priming one coat on steel or other metal surface with synthetic oil bound primer of approved quality including smoothening surfaces by sand papering etc.

Painting with best quality synthetic enamel paint of approved make and brand including smoothening surface by sand papering etc. including using of approved putty etc. on the surface, if necessary.(a) On timber or plastered surface :With super gloss (hi-gloss) -(iv) Two coats (with any shade except white)

(b) On steel or other metal surface(iv) Two coats (with any shade except white)

Taking out shutter of door and window, dismantling by parts (for repair or replacement of damaged parts) , reassembling and refitting and rehanging samewith old fittings but with new screws as necessary. (Where different parts of same shutter are renewed under different item, payment under item 73 will be made once only).

Styles and rails of wooden shutters fitted and fixed complete. (Payment to be made on area of new work only). In Ground Floor:(ii) 35mm Thick shutter.(c) Other Local Wood

Iron skeleton bolt of approved quality fitted and fixed complete (a) 375mm long x 10mm dia rod.

i) Iron hasp bolt of approved quality fitted and fixed complete (oxidised) with 16mm dia rod with centre bolt and round fitting(c) 300mm long

Iron butt hinges of approved quality fitted and fixed with steel screws, with ISI mark.

Supplying solid flush type doors of commercial quality, the timber frame consisting of top and bottom rails and side styles of well seasoned timber 65mm wide each and the entire frame fitted with 37.5mm wide battens places both ways in order to make the door of solid core and internal lipping with Garjan or similar wood veneers using phenol formaldehyde as glue etc. complete, including fitting, fixing shutters in position but excluding the cost of hinges and other fittings in ground floor (a) 35 mm thick shutters (single leaf)

Dismantling artificial stone flooring upto 50 mm. thick by carefully chiselling without damaging the base and removing rubbish as directed within a lead of 75 m.

Dismantling all types of plain cement concrete works, stacking serviceable materials at site and removing rubbish as directed within a lead of 75 m.

Ordinary Cement concrete (mix 1:2:4) with graded stone chips (20 mmbnominal size) excluding shuttering and reinforcement if any, in ground floorbas per relevant IS codes.

Dismantling all types of masonry excepting cement concrete plain or reinforced, stacking serviceable materials at site and removing rubbish as directed within a lead of 75 m.

Brick work with 1st class bricks in cement mortar (1:6)(b) In superstructure, ground floor

Supplying, fitting & fixing 1st quality Ceramic tiles in walls and floors to match with the existing work & 4 nos. of key stones (10mm) fixed with araldite at the back of each tile & finishing the joints with white cement mixed with colouring oxide if required to match the colour of tiles including roughening of concrete surface, if necessary or by synthetic adhesive & grout materials etc. With Sand Cement Mortar (1:3) 15 mm thick & 2 mm thick cement slurry at back side of tiles using cement @ 2.91 Kg/Sq.m & joint filling using white cement slurry @ 0.20kg/Sq.m. (a) Area of each tile above 0.09 Sq.m (i) Coloured decorative

Artificial stone in floor, dado, staircase etc with cement concrete (1:2:4) with stone chips, laid in panels as directed with topping made with ordinary or white cement (as necessary) and marble dust in proportion (1:2) including smooth finishing and rounding off corners including raking out joints or roughening of concrete surface and application of cement slurry before flooring works using cement @ 1.75 kg/sq.m all complete including all materials and labour.In ground floor. 3 mm. thick topping (High polishing grinding on this item is not permitted with ordinary cement). Using grey cement(ii) 25 mm. thick

Collapsible gate with 40mm x 40mm x 6mm Tee as top and bottom guide rail, 20mm x 10mm x 2mm vertical channels 100mm apart in fully stretched position 20mm x 5mm M.S. flats as collapsible bracings properly rivetted and washered including 38mm steel rollers including locking arrangements, fitted and fixed in position with lugs set in cement concrete and including cutting necessary holes, chasing etc. in walls, floors etc. and making good damages complete.

Distribution wiring in 2 x 22/0.3 (1.5 sqmm) single core stranded 'FR' PVC insulated & unsheathed copper wire (Brand approved by EIC) in 20mm size PVC rigid conduit 'FR'(Precision make), with 1x22/0.3 (1.5 sqmm) single core stranded 'FR' PVC insulated & unsheathed copper wire for ECC, to light/fan/call bell points with Piano Key type switch fixed on MS CRC sheet metal (16 SWG) switch board cum JB on wall complete with 2 no. suitable size “Ph & N” copper bar incl. bakelite/Perspex (wall matching color)top cover 3 mm thick and incl. 175mmx100mmx65mm inspection box,making earthing attachment, painting the MS box and mending good the damages to original finish (b) Average run 6 mtr

Supply & Fixing 240 V, 25A Modular type socket, 25 A, Modular type starter (Brand approved by EIC) with 25A Modular switch type DP MCB (C-Curve) and 6 Module GI Modular type switch board with 6 Module top cover plate flushed in wall incl. S&F switch board and cover plate and making necy. connections with PVC Cu wire and earth continuity wire etc.

Supply & Fixing 240 V, 3 nos. 16 A, 3 pin Modular type plug socket with 3 nos. 16A Modular type switch (Brand approved by EIC), 20A Modular switch type SP MCB (C-Curve) and Indicator without plug top on 12 Module GI Modular type switch board with 12 Module top cover plate flushed in wall incl. S&F switch board and cover plate and making necy.connections with PVC Cu wire and earth continuity wire etc.

Supply & Fixing 240 V, 4 nos. 20A plug socket with separate 2nos. 20A Piano key type switch, indicator & 16A kit-kat flush type fuse (approved make) on sheet metal switch board embedded in wall incl. S & F 300 x200 x65mm MS (16SWG) switch board and bakelite /perspex top cover of 3mm thick by Brass screws after making housing for switch by cutting bakelite /perspex cover and making necessary connections as required
