REPAIRS TO CERTAIN ROADS AND ROAD FURNITURE AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN EXPLOSIVE AREA AND NON EXPLOSIVE AREA NAD AT NAVAL STATION KARANJA

Material and labour for repairs to pot holes area not exc. 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc, cutting around edges to at least 40 mm in depth and making good by applying tack coat with bitumen of grade VG 10 @5 kg/ 10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam with bitumen of grade VG 30 well rammed, sealed with binder @9.8 Kg /10 Sqm blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chipping of 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) depth of pot holes exc. 30 mm rolled with power road roller of 08 to 10 tonne capacity complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags or compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc on black top surfaces complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for applying evenly a priming /tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen of grade VG10@5Kg/10 Sqm on existing black top surfaces complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for bituminous semi dense asphaltic concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix of paving bitumen VG-30, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, mixing is carried out in computarized automatic hot mix plant laying and spreading by mechanical paver and rolled with 8 to 10 tonne power Vibromax/Tandam road roller to required level, gradient, camber and super elevation, complete all as specified and directed by the Engr -in -charge. Note : (i) The work shall be carried out by using mechanical paver. (ii) The mix design shall be got done from approved lab and got approved from GE before commencement of work.

Material and labour for applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge

Material and labour for premix bituminous macadam consolidated thickness, 75 mm or less, using 4% binder i.e. paving bitumen grade VG-30 by weight or total mix, and aggregate mixed in computerized hot mix plant, laid rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with the help of mechanical paver and power roller 8 to 10 tonne capacity complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in repair cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA strip lens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with 12mm dia 120mm long MS stud over epoxy screed of suitable size confirming to IRC 67-1977 having capacity of 40 tonnes as per manufacturer's instructions.
