| 1.01 | Pre-stressed reinforced RCC Fencing poles sizes: 2.0 mtr.
There shall be 4 nos. of vertical reinforcement of high tensile steel wire of 4mm dia. Each fencing pole shall be of square cross section of 100mmx100mm. Each fencing pole shall be provided with 6 nos. holes. Top hole shall be provided at 100mm below the top of pole and bottom hole should be provided at 500mm above the bottom of the pole. The central distance between the top and bottom hole shall be equally divided for remaining holes. 'J' hooks shall be of 6mm dia MS bars with proper threads at one end and nut and washer for tightening purpose. These 'J' bolts shall pass through the holes of poles.
General requirements
a. Material The materials used for the manufacture of pre stressed reinforced cement concrete fencing poles shall comply with the requirements as per relevant IS specifications (with upto date amendments).
The concrete Mix shall confirm to requirements of M 30 grade as laid down for controlled concrete (also called design mix concrete) in IS-1343 (code of practice for pre stressed concrete) and IS-456 (code of practice for plain and reinforced concrete) (with upto date amendments)
Reinforcing bars and wires used for the manufacture of pre-stressed concrete poles shall conform to the relevant Indian Standards. The surface of all reinforcement shall be free from loose scale, oil, grease, clay of other material that may have deteriorating effect on the bond between the reinforcement and the concrete.
b. Manufacturing
The manufacturer shall supply when required by the purchaser results of compressive test conducted in accordance with IS:456 or any other equivalent standards on concrete cubes made form the concrete used for the poles. If the purchaser so desires the manufacturer shall supply cubes for test purpose and such cubes shall be tested in accordance with IS:456 or any other equivalent Standards. The manufacturer shall maintain test records for the tests carried out to establish conformity.
Surface shall be uniform and free from voids. Poles shall be free from surface defects including hair cracks.
The ends of the pre-stressing wire shall be cut as close to the surface of the pole as possible and in any case shall not project more than 3mm.
c. Inspection
(i.) Material shall be inspected by Third party as mention in supply order before dispatch to ensure conformity with the specification.
(ii.) Destructive test shall be carried out for checking reinforcement of pole. One piece shall be destructed per supply order. Cost of destroyed piece shall be borne by manufacturer and its cost shall be inclusive while quoting rates.
