Dismantling stone slab (damage and decayed) laid in lime/cement mortar including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material within 50 meters lead.

Careful removal of existing deteriorated/ damaged/weathered lime plaster without damaging the surface below it. Methodology: This Item will execute after erecting scaffolding enabling the safe platform to work and with using precise tools like scalpe to remove the plaster. Precaution will be taken such that surface below the plaster is not damaged.

Replacing decayed/damaged and missing, red/white sand stone slabs in roofing and laid in lime mortar 1:1:1 (1 Slaked lime : 1 Surkhi : 1 Coarse sand)

Traditional brick masonry in lakhori bricks in lime mortar (similar to existing propotion of mortar 1:1:1 , 1 lime : 1 surkhi : sand )

Stone slab 20 to 25 mm thick (colour matching to existing and compatible to heritage ) over 20 mm (average) thick base laid over and jointed with lime slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slab,(laid on roof) including rubbing and polishing complete with base of lime mortar 1:1:1 (1 lime :1surkhi:1 coarse sand).

Providing and fixing stone brackets ( as per matching with existing design colour and material ) 55x22.5x45 cm sunk and moulded including providing and fixing with 4 Nos gun metal cramp 25x6 mm 30 cm long and dowel bars 7.5 cm long 6 mm dia as per design.

Providing and fixing horizontal chajja of stone average 40 mm thick ( as per existing design and material ) and upto 80 cm wide projection in lime mortar 1:1:1 (1 Lime: 1 Slaked Lime 1: Coarse sand) including pointing in lime mortar 1:1:1 (1 Lime: 1 Slaked Lime 1: Coarse sand) with an admixture of pigment matching the stone shade.

Technical/scientific excavation to be done manually by way of carefully digging inside the heritage structure. It also includes to avoid any damage to the heritage structure or structure underneath, without causing any vibrations and jerks to the superstructure. It also includes duly constructing centring, struting and form work to avoid any untoward incident and getting out the excavated material manually head lead approx. 50 mtr away from site.

Consolidating the base area including cutting and filling, rammimg and watering complete to make the surface good for laying of concrete including appropriate slope required to safeguard the surface from rain water.

40 mm thick (Average) fine dressed stone flooring over 20 mm (average) thick base of lime mortar 1:1:1 (1 lime: 1 surkhi:1coarse sand) with joints finished flush.

Providing and fixing Marble/stone matching with existing gang saw cut (polished and machine cut) of avg thickness 18 mm or as per existing for wall lining (veener work), backing filled with a grout of average 20 mm thick in lime mortar of 1:1:1 (1 lime: 1 surkhi:1coarse sand), including pointing with lime mortar 1:2 ( 1 Lime: 2 marble dust) with an admixture of pigment to match the marble shade ( to be secured to the backing by means of cramps, which shall be paid for separately)

Stucco work in lime, surkhi and sand (1:1:1) as per traditional practices and design, the mortar should be prepared by grinding mill only. The thickness varies from 10mm to 100mm as per design.

Lime punning with lime putty mixed with Gur,Bilgri,Urd and other ingredients followed by grinding to fine paste for smooth finish.

Construction of tanks of different sizes for slaking of lime and making lime putty as per archaelogical specification: Brick Work with common burnt clay F.P.S (non modular ) bricks of class designation 7.5 in foundation and plinth in: Cement mortar 1:4 ( 1 cement : 4 coarse sand)

Provision for hiring (for 6 months) of special type of lime mortar mill (pan type) electrical/mechnical for thorough grinding and mixing of lime mortar and making lime putty as per site requirement including diesel and maintenance.

Providing, erecting, maintaining and removing temporary protective screens made out of specified fabric with all necessary fixing arrangement to ensure that it remains in position for the work duration as required by the Engineer-in-charge. Wooven PVC cloth

Removal of blackening, old sulphated lime wash in multiple application without causing damage to the below plastered surface. Scrubbing (not by scraping which leaves surfaces scarred and scratched ) with bristle brushes and hot water ( Care to be taken if the surface is weak one it will break down). Hot water should be used if the blackening/limewash has an oil or tallow binder. Gentle cleaning with air abrasive tools can be used if the wall surface is not very week.The final clean will almost invariably have to be carried out by hand scrubbing and rinsed with clean water on completion. The work should be done under supervision of a trained conservator.

Hiring of water tanker (4500 ltrs) during excution of work. Since the water is salty at site and its not useful for lime mortar work.

Applying breathable, non-reactive, antifungal, and water repellant Silane/ Siloxane chemical as approved by Archaeological Survey of India/ Engineerin- charge, of approved brand and manufacture, diluted with solvent mineral Turpentine oil in the ratio of 1:12 (One part of approved chemical :12 Part of Turpentine oil), on the existing sand stone masonry/plastered wall surface with two or more coats to give uniform application of chemical on the surface, all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-charge (The rate is inclusive of all materials and labours involved except scaffolding).

Providing and fixing stone jali 40 mm thick throughtout in lime mortar of 1:1:1 (1 lime: 1 surkhi:1coarse sand), including pointing in lime mortar 1: 2 ( 1 Lime : 2 Stone dust) with an admixture of pigment, matching the stone shade, jali slab without any chamfared etc.

Curing of Lime concrete/Lime plaster surface with water mixed with milk of lime, pulp of belgiri and jaggery water (Gur/sheera) to achive the required hardness.

Cleareance of debris around and adjoining the heritage building by excavion upto depth 1.5mt to 2.0 mtr carefully without damaging the buried archaeological parts of the building and collect all the intct parts at proper place for reuse at the time of restoration work as per direction of engineer in charge.

Stone consolidation-removing the loose/damaged stone and reconsolidating with new stone (matching with original)/reusable stone with lime mortar lime mortar 1:1:1 ( 1 Lime : 1 Surkhi : 1 coarse sand) wherever necessary.

Restoration of missing portion/patch repair with underpinning method by using bond stone technique. Random rubble masonry with hard stones in foundation and plinth including levelling with lime concrete (1 lime:3surkhi:6 coarse sand) with 20mm stone aggregate upto plinth level with lime mortar 1:1:1(1Lime: 1Surkhi:1Coarse sand).

Repairing ornamental plaster works to match with the existing design using lime plaster (1lime putty:1surkhi : 1 fine sand).

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven storey height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre horizontal and vertical tubes joining with cup and lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffoldings for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. NOTE:- To be used for maintenance work judicially necessary deduction for scaffolding in the existing item to be done.
