PERIODICAL SERVICES TO CERTAIN OTM ACCN AT BAIRAGARH Note - (i) Contractor will deposit the requisite quantity of paint (as directed by Engineer-in-charge) required for the work within 15 days from the date of commencement of the work. The paint will be issued to the contractor as and when required for carrying out the work at site which will be signed by contractor or his rep and Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) Application of oil bound distemper, exterior/interior emulsion paints, etc shall be carried out using roller brush of approved quality only. (iii) Mixing of oil bound distemper, exterior/interior emulsion paints, etc shall be carried out with mechanical mixture/stirers. (iv) Surface shall be allowed to dry completely before application of any paint. Wet or newly plastered surfaces with visible moisture shall not be painted till it is dry. (v) The rate quoted against BOQ are including neccessary scafolding expenses upto triple storey building.

Complete removal of existing treatment on walls (any number of layers) by scrapping with steel scrappers or any other means, and applying two coats of oil emulsion distemper, white or tinted over one coat of white cement based putty (where required) all as specified and directed. Note - (i) Cement Putty shall be measured and paid separetely. (ii) Complete removal of existing surface to be carried out using mechanical scrappers and wiped clean with cotton cloth so that no dust/loose particles remain on the surface complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (iii) Hairline cracks upto 3 mm thickness shall be filled with crack seal of M/s Asian Paint or equivalent as approved; quoted rate is deemed to include for this aspect.

All as per item No 5.00 above but on ceiling complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing old painted surfaces of wood and wood based materials of any description over 10cm in width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing old painted steel & iron surfaces of any description over 10cm in width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed

M&L for writing letters or figures (Block, Roman, Italic or Indian) to buildings with synthetic enamel paint, n.exc. 150mm long and 20mm wide in words & figures (e.g. P-1, P-27, T-123, T-81/2, etc) over black synthetic enamel painted back ground of n.exc.300mm dia including obliterating old writing of any description n exc 0.10 sqm with paint to match existing work complete all as specified and directed. Note - "P-1", "P-27", "T-123", "T-81/2", etc shall be considered as one unit for measurement purpose.

(b) A Guarantee of 5 yrs from the certified date of completion for the effectiveness of exterior acrylic emulsion weather coat paint shall be submitted by the manufacturer and contractor. (c) A Security deposit @2.5% of the amount of treatment shall be deposited by the contractor for the entire guarantee period i.e. 5 yrs in the form of FDR in favour of GE. (d) During the guarantee period if exterior acrylic emulsion weather coat paint gets removed or becomes layered contractor shall rectify or replace (at his option) defective materials at his own expenses, when called upon in writing to do so by the GE. Condition 46 of IAFW-2249 (defects liability period) for the guarantee period shall be deemed amended accordingly for the work..

Taking down cement or cement lime plaster, any description, on brick or stone walls, etc including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for rendering 15mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 on faces of brick work or concrete surfaces, finished even & smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Rendering 15mm thick in cement mortar 1:6 on faces of brick work or concrete surfaces, finished fair and even complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing new plastered or un-plastered surfaces of wall and M&L for applying two coats of exterior water based emulsion paint, white or tinted over and including a coat of primer complete all as specified and directed. [Make:- Apex Paint Ultima of M/s Asian Paints or equivalent in M/s Berger or M/s ICI as approved by GE] NOTE:- (a) The work of applying exterior acrylic emulsion paint shall be carried out by authorized representative/applicator of the manufacturer. S&F chicken wire mesh, mild steel 12mm mesh size and 0.56mm dia of wire all complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for crack filling with approved crack filling compound (crack seal of M/s Asian Paint or equivalent in Pidilite or other approved make), crack thickness more than 3mm, including opening of cracks, cleaning and necessary scaffolding suitable for height upto 10 mtr from ground level complete all as specified and directed.

Disconnecting exc 250 and n exc. 500 ltrs existing tanks, setting aside (for lowering if required) for repairs cleaning and removing all scale and dirt, etc from tanks and mouths of circulating pipes etc and hoisting if required reconnecting and re-fixing in position complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down existing old roof treatment of any description, any type including removal old Tar felt, screed bed and plastering etc complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up or down 20 mm bore GI steel tubing and connections, including cleaning for refixing or removal to store complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up or down 15 mm bore GI steel tubing and connections, including cleaning for refixing or removal to store complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of brick work, built in Cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc complete all as specified and directed.

S&F 20 mm GI tube medium grade with all necessary fittings and fixed complete to wall and ceiling or laid in floors complete all as specified and directed.

S&F 15 mm GI tube medium grade with all necessary fittings and fixed complete to wall and ceiling or laid in floors complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Brickwork with fly ash bricks, straight or curved on plan exc 6 m mean radius, built in cm 1:6 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for water proofing roof treatment on RCC roof with APP modified membrane (plain/ gravel finish as per site requirement and as directed by Engr in charge) wt not less than 3 Kg/SqM of thickness not less than 3 mm reinforced with non woven polyster fabric (wt not less than 150 gms/sqm) laid in following sequence including removal of old existing treatment of tar felt, screed etc complete all as specified and directed :- (a) 10 mm thick plaster in CM 1:4 mixed with and incl water profofing compound @3% by weight of cement applied over roof slab. After the plaster is cured the roof will be tested for water tightening by ponding with water for 3 days for any seepage / leakages etc. if any seepage is oberved the rectification will be carried out by pressure grouting under the pressure of 5 Kg/Sqcm using cement based cement grout. After the surface is repired the slab will be tested for watertightness aginst before processing further treatments. (b) The surface of the roof, parapet and gutters, drain mouths etc. over which water profing treatment is to be applied shall be cleaned of all foreign matters such as fungus, mass, dust etc. by wire brushing and dusting. For cast iron drain outlets the grove shall be cut around to tuck in the treatment as pipes, chimneystacs etc. and other similar situations to ease up about corners. (c) Bituminous primer conforming to IS : 3384-1965 @ 0.30 Kg/Sqm to be applied an prepared surface till the surface is properly impregnated. (d) APP modified water proofing membrene as specified shall be laid on the primer surface by torch application method as per manufacturers instructions, The overlaps while torching shall be 100 mm in both directions(longititudinal and transverse directions). All overlap joints shall be sealed throughly by thermofusing both the membrene layers and sealing it with the help of hot trowel. The overlap joints shall be made as monolithic layer. (e) All joints & changes in direction should be curved with cement motor 1:3 mixed with SBR latex @ 200 ml per bag of cement and cured well before laying the membrane. f) A fillet of PCC (1:2:4) type B-0 of 100 mm x 100 mm shall be provided at all junctions of vertical and horizontal surfaces and whereever ther is a change of direction. The membrane should not be taken over at any steep turns and hence all corners /junctions should be rounded. Note :- Work of water proofing treatment shall be carried out by authorised applicator of the manufacturer. Necessary documentary evidence in support of the authorised applicator will be submitted to Engg -in - charge before the commencement of water proofing work. ii) The quoted rates is deemed to include for the cost of scaffolding, T &P etc required for execution of work.

M&L for cutting grooves in brick wall, 75mm wide and 65mm deep and shaping horizontal face of groove with cement mortor 1:3 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for precast machine pressed cement concrete tiles with grey cement and no pigments of size 250x250x20 - 25mm thick conforming to IS 1237-1980 set in cement slurry laid jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry including bedding layer of 15mm thick screed in CM 1:4 as in roof complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for cement concrete Type B1, 1:2:4 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) as in roof padding, kerbs or mud stops, copings and levelling concrete slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating all as directed.

Removing loose concrete from chajjas, perapets, fascias, pillars, columns etc not exc 1 sqm on plan and repairing the same with cement mortar 1:3 /cement concrete type B-0, 1:2:4 (using 12.5mm graded stone aggregate) including white washing/ditempering/ weather proof paint / cement base paint as per existing surface complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement concrete in any position n.exc 15cm thickness (below or above glround level) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cement concrete type B0 1:2:4 (using 12.5 mm graded stone aggregate) mixed with water proofing compound @3% by wt of cement in benching, roof kerbs of mud stops, rounded or chamfered on edges,cills, steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded for chamfered angles and throating, as directing (Note :- Water Proofing compound shall be measured and paid seperately)

Supply only integral water proofing compound complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cleaning & drying thoroughly existing surface of walls, roofs, chajjas, etc for all foreign matters such as fungus, moss, dust, etc by wire brushing and dusting; applying two coats of polymer modified cementations based protective & water proofing coating as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed. [MAKE: ACROCOAT / FOSROC or equivalent as approved by GE]

Dismantling water tank capacity exc 250 ltrs but nexc 500 ltrs and removing to stores complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Rotational moulded (three layered, ISI marked) polyethylene water storage tanks (cylindrical vertical with closed top) of 500 litres capacity including PVC cover, hoisted and fixed in position including connecting up pipes complete all as specified and directed.
