REPAIR MAINT TO LT UG CABLE AND CONNECTED WORKS SERVICES AT KARU AND SHESHARTHANG UNDER GE 860 EWS

Excavation in trenches in hard / dense soil not exceeding 1.5 mtr in depth and not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide and getting out including trimming of sides, for laying of cables & foundation of poles, stay assembly, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Returning filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Removing excavated material to a distance not exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Taking out old unserviceable/serviceable un-reinforced concrete PCC cable covers from excavated trench all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Serviceable un-reinforced concrete PCC cable cover kept in safe custody for reuse at site and unserviceable un-reinforced concrete PCC cable cover through in low lying area.

Laying only old reinforced PCC cable cover of any size as retrieved from serial item No- 04 above, complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for factory made un-reinforced pre cast concrete cable protection cover LV class type - I with size 250mm x 150mm x 40mm laid across the cable (i.e. width of cover along the length of cable) for UG cable protection on the top of the sand cushioning, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for sand cushioning with layer of sand 8cm thick before laying of cable and 10cm after laying of cable in trenches complete all as directed and sand cover to UG cable, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S&F of galvanized iron pipe of 50 mm nominal dia light grade fixed to poles with clamps nuts, bolts and washers or laid under road crossing or fixed to wall including painting with two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide paint, complete all as specified and directed. Note : The cost of MS clamp, nut, bolt, washer and GI fittings etc shall be inclusive in the item rate.

Taking out old LT under ground cable from trenches / floor / road / wall / pipe / pole of any size and description incl joint, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Description all as srl item no 10 here-in-before but for cable size of 185 sqmm 3.5 core.

Description all as srl item no 10 here-in-before but for cable size of 95 sqmm 3.5 core.

Taking out old UNSV Junction box of any size complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning, in replacement, Junction box , cubical type, factory made, outdoor type of Size 45cm(l)x30cm(w)x60cm(h) , dust and vermin proof, fabricated out of mild steel sheet not less than 3.15 mm thick, complete with openable shutters in front and rear having proper locking arrangement including including 04 Nos legs made out of angle iron of suitable size and height of each leg shall be grouted in PCC and aluminium bus bar of size 400 Amps capacity , Three phase and neutral bus bar , making hot and cold drilling holes to aluminium bus bar . Junction box shall be spray painted internally and externally with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a priming coat of red oxide primer and connecting all incomming and outgoing cables with suitable size of Aluminium lugs complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge and comprising of following accessories/fittings :- (a) MCCB 4 pole, 160 Amps,240/415 Volt, 50Hz, 10 KA= 01 Nos (I/C) (b) MCB SPN 63 Amps, 240 Volts - 04 Nos (O/G) Note : Unit rate quoted by the contractor here-in-before also includes for fixing and connecting of MCBs and installation of panel on suitable PCC foundation and PCC plat form incl necessary earth and PCC work all as per manufacturer instructions and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metres deep below normal ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, connecting to the Galvanised earth lead 32x6mm by means of bolts, nuts , check nuts and washers of galvanized iron and steel earth wire protected by provision of GI light grade pipe 40 mm bore including provision of concrete pit made from PCC ( 1:2:4) type B-1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) with 40mm thick cover of RCC 1:2:4 reinforced with XPM (Weight not less than 4 Kg/Sqm) and frame of angle iron 40 x 40 x 6 mm and handle of 6 mm dia MS bar made to shape, GI light grade 20 mm bore pipe for watering perforated at bottom, 1.50 metre long placed on top edge of earth plate, common salt & charcoal filling, with fixing arrangement , funnel, wire mesh and earth work in hard/dense soil , returning filling in and removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 metres, all as per electrical plate No 5 of SSR 2009 Part-I and connecting to Poles all as specified or indicated including testing on complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
