Surface excavation in soft/loose soil n exc 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out complete all as specified and directed.

Surface dressing n exc 15 cm deep and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Bringing approved earth (as approved by Garrison Engineer) from sources outside defence land including all cost such as royalty if any, transportation, taxes etc. for area filling/ forming embankments. Notes : (i) Earth required for the item, shall be supplied by contractor, from out side MOD land of any lead, at his own arrangement. (ii) All cost of procurement of earth including cost of transportation, compaction, royalties, tax etc shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) With reference to clause 3.6 of MES schedule Part-II on serial page No.21 it is clarified that measurement of the above item shall be of finished embankment/traverse of filled earth after consolidation/compaction and 5% deduction shall be made from measured and calculated volume to allow for increase in bulk. (iv) BOO will be convey by GE before and after commencement of the filling work to finalize the initial & final level of filling work. The contractor will solely responsible for prepare and submission the record of initial and final level along with details of the earth filling. Preparation of the report shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor.

Excavation in trenches n exc 1.5 m wide n exc 1.5 m deep in soft/ loose soil for foundation etc or for shaft, wells,cesspit, manholes, pier holes etc n exc 10 sqm on plan and not exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation over areas not exc 1.5m deep and getting out in soft and loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soil not exceeding 50 m distance and depositing where directed at a level n exc 1.5 metre above the starting point complete all as specified and directed . Note:- Removing material will be reutilized for forming embankment purpose if found suitable in Soil Testing Report. If reutilized, quantity will be deducted from the final quantity of the earth filling.

Returning ,filling in including spreading ,levelling watering and well ramming in soft/loose soil in layers n exc 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed

M&L for hardcore of broken stones of gauge n exc 63 mm , deposited, spread and levelled in layers n exc 15 cm thick watered and rolled/ rammed to a true surface complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for PCC Type C-2 1:3:6 as in bed or surface channel of box type culvert or as in concrete bed to hume pipes incl packing under and haunching against the sides of pipes after they are laid and tested complete all as specified and directed.

M& L Cement concrete 1:3:6 Type C-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundations, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and directed

M&L for precast cement concrete block masonry type C1 (1:3:6) (using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) with solid blocks of Size 300mm X 150 mm X 100 MM and setting in cement mortar 1:6 complete as in edging & devider complete all as specified and as directed

M&L Plain Cement Concrete M-15(Nominal Mix) using 20 mm graded stone aggregate in lintels upto 1.5 m clear span, cills, steps, seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, coping, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs, water trough and the like including weathering slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Mild steel TMT bars of Grade 5mm dia and over upto and including 10mm dia cut to length, bent to shape required in stirrups, spacers and binders and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed

Material and labour for rendering 15 mm in Cement Mortar 1:4 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing the new plastered surfaces and applying three coats of white wash on walls complete all as specified and directed

S & F of RCC pipes, class NP-2 laid and jointed complete with collars of 600 mm dia complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for PVC (SWR) pipes 75 mm bore single socketed in any length as in weep hole fixed to walls complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting by 8 to 12 tonne power roller to gradient and camber required all as specified and directed.

Forming embankments including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n exc 30 cm thick; watering, ramming / rolling with 8 to 12 on power roller and finishing to required size, shape etc, n exc 1.50 m height from the base and under omc to the specified percentage of standard proctor density not less than 95% complete all as specified and directed.

M&L soling (or sub base) 150 mm thick (spread thickness) with broken boulders or quarried stone, interstices filled, surfaces formed and rolled and consolidated with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to gradient and camber required all as specified and directed.

Laying and compacting 150mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) laid in two layers of 75mm each grading as per table 400-13 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant , material comprising of clean , crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capcity 80-100KN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed . The finished surface tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013.

Preparing unsurfaced WMM by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and cleaning the complete surfaces by applying mechanical air blower upto entire satisfaction of engineer in charge and applying evenly a prime coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion SS1 confirming to IS : 8887 at a rate of application of 0.7-1 kg/sqm on surface of WMM as specified in Table 500-3 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013 using mechanical sprayer complete as specified and directed.

M&L Premix Bituminous macadam with binder content 4% by weight of total mix & 50 mm compacted thickness laid with mechanical paver rolled & compacted with required camber and gradient using Paving Bitumen complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for applying evenly a tack coat of Catonic Bitumen Emulsion ( RS-1) conforming to IS:8887 at a rate of application of 0.2-0.3 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in table 500-5 of MoRTH specification of Road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer after necessary cleaning on new BM surface complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 40mm thick laid with mechanical paver Bituminous premixed Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using paving bitumen complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.
