Choaks wheel (ETSR XII/P-38) - 109 Nos Description of the Work:- (a) The item to be removed from existing stack upto 100 mtrs away as suitable for work. (b) Old oil mixture and dust on the item to be removed by using steel wire brush, emery paper and cotton waste. (c) Cleaning has to be done very carefully avoiding damage, if any plank found damaged will be changed before dipping. (d) Smooth surface to be prepared for preservation work. (e) After cleaning, items to be dipped into mixture of used engine oil and creosote oil as 50:50 ratio for 30 min in a iron tray provided by the department. (Only iron tray will be provided by the department). (f) After 30 min, items to be removed from the mixture tank and restacked on proper dunnage as directed by the supervising staff/GE. (f) Labour for carrying out maintenance will be provided by the firm. (g) All material required for the work will be provided by the firm. (h) Sample of material required for the work will be approved by the Firm from GE/Engineer-in-Charge prior to the commencement of preservation work. Note:- All preservation & repair/maint materials and cleaning materials and Labour for the work will be provided by the firm.
