Removing the existing vegetation growth in the Building by way of uprooting the plants manually and then drilling with power driller up to the root depth of plants obtain a clean and neat drill so as to continuously inspect and remove left over roots of vegetation growths and to inject pesticides into the holes so as to prevent further growth of vegetation in the future to safeguard the country old heritage building etc. The cost including the cost of pesticides used, hire charges of injecting machine for injecting chemicals, cost of tools and all labour charges, etc., complete and complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing two legged scaffolding using 48.30mm dia heavy duty MS pipe over all height of 3.00m the distance between 2 legs being 1.25m and the spacing of the post being 2m in each rows and providing platform with C.W. planks using 40mm thick silver oak and 1.00m wide in complete form with horizontal bracings @ 1.50m c/c vertical direction and with cross bracings using same 48.30mm dia including cutting, threading assembly with red oxide primer, labour charges cost of specials such on large plate, shoe, carcher, coupling, bolt and nut transportation charges. Strengthening the existing walls by providing grouting by formation of two holes of size 1" with required intervals - depth of 300mm for an area of 1 sq.m and depending upon the site conditions injecting lime slurry consisting of lime mortar 1:2 (one lime and two of sand) using Pollachi lime in all floors added with grouting admixture by 2% weight of lime, by using required equipment and the rate includes the cost of all materials, labour charges etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Racking out the brick joints of walls, arches, etc.,to a depth of approximately 5cm for a wall thickness of 45cm and above to remove the dead mortar in between the brick joints and cleaning the surface with coir brush and washed with pure water etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Pointing , grouting and filleting the brick joint of wall and arches with lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Renewing and fixing the 1/3rd panelled and 2/3rd louvered door shutter openable type by using well seasoned teakwood of superior quality and approved variety as per the original design and pattern instructed by the Engineer In Charge.The door shutters is made with 1/3rd panelled shutters at bottom and 2/3rd louvered panels at top. The door shutter is made with two number of 75mm x 40mm size vertical styles, top rail, lock rails and bottom rail of size 100mm x 35mm , 200mm x 35mm, 120mm x 35mm respectively. The bottom 1/3rd portion of door shutter panels is covered with teakwood planks of 35mm thick and top 2/3rd portion of the shutter panels is covered with teakwood louvered planks of size 170mm x 20mm of 12 Nos.for each leaves and one number of teakwood scantling of size 35mm x 30mm in ornamental of existing style is provided of full height of louvered shutter for operating the louvered shutter including all necessary fittings brass/ steel hardwares like screws, nails, hinges, hooks, tower bolts, handles, aldrops of same design, size and weight,etc., complete. Item to also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence. Item to include complete finishing of the shutters as directed by the departmental officers. Renewing and fixing of glazed ventilator with new Teak wood glazed ventilator of size 1.20m x 0.60m by using Teak wood scanting thickness of size 0.04m frames fixed with 4mm thick pin headed glass including labour for wrought put up and fixing the ventilator in position with necessary furniture fittings including with neat finishing etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.
Making , supplying and fixing of new stone capital for replacing the broken and missing stone capital over the high wall at roof level as per existing clues and style etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Teakwood wrought & putup for joist, beam, rafters and purlins,etc., which are in full length new member placed for supporting the Madras Terrace roof/ Mangalore tiles roof or any other area in all floor as directed by the departmental officers by using well seasoned superior quality and approved variety of teakwood for heritage building work including fixing of iron holdfasts incase of doors, windows and ventilators etc.,and excluding cost of holdfasts and making necessary size holes in the masonry to receive the ends of wooden joists, beams, etc., all fixtures and fastenings etc., complete. Item to include all moulding and chamber to be made as per original design indicated by the Engineer In Charge. (The rate includes the cost of teakwood, labour charges for wrought and putup to the existing clue/design, fixing in position to true alignment and gradient wherever necessary. Complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers (sample of teakwood to be shown to the Executive Engineer concerned for approval before use on work). Application of Solignum on the wooden surface should also be done. In all floors
Renewing and fixing in position of well seasoned superor quality of Teak wood planks of size 30-45cmx12-25mm to a required length including fixing the planks in the ceiling of Madras Terrace roof and Mangalore tiled roofing or wherever necessary screws, nails, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.(The rate includes the cost of Teakwood planks, wrought and putup of Teak wood planks, fixing the Teak wood planks and cost of all nails, screws, etc.,)
Redoing of Madras Terrace roof in all floors with one layer of brick on edge course laid as first layer over the existing Teakwood joists, Beams, I Sections, etc., which are placed at roof level in all floors using specially manufactured Terrace bricks for heritage works of size 150mm x 75mm x 25mm in lime mortar 1:1.5 (one lime and one and half sand). The second layer is laid with specially manufactured Terrace bricks for Heritage works of size 150mm x 75mm x 25mm in flat manner in lime mortar 1:2 ( one lime and two sand) 20mm thick as base layer laid over the top of brick on edge course.
Brick jelly lime concrete using broken brick jelly of size 20mm uniform gauge in pure slaked lime (no sand to be added) to the proportion of brick jelly to lime being 32:12.50 by volume laid over the second layer of terrace bricks for an average consolidated thickness of 100mm in a single layer of required slope/level as directed and finished by beating the concrete with wooden beaters of approved pattern, keeping the surface constantly wet by sprinkling lime jaggery (PALM JAGGERY) water. (Galnut of 10kg and jaggery of 10kg per one sq.m). The beating of the concrete is done continuously until the brick jelly lime concrete is well hardened.
After ensuring the harden surface of brick jelly lime concrete, flat tiles of 150mm x 150mm x 25mm of specially manufactured superior quality to suit the heritage works is laid in two consecutive layers in lime mortar 1:2 (one lime and two sand) 15mm thick for each layer of flat tiles. The base mortar provided for the top course of flat tiles is mixed with SBR (Synthetic Butadiene Rubber) Polymer at the rate of 0.5 litres for one sq.m is applied for water proofing chemical treatment including neat finishing. The Materials like Terrace bricks for the heritage work as from Thirukkattupalli and Pollachi lime should only be used. The period of interval between laying of I layer, II layer of terrace bricks, brick jelly lime concrete and flat tiles in two consecutive layers as directed by the departmental officers etc., complete complying with standard specifications.
The Madras Terrace roof laid over the roof joist, beam, etc., is well embedded in the wall to the required distance as directed by the Engineer In Charge. (The rate includes the cost of all materials like terrace brick for heritage works, brick jelly 20mm, Pollachi lime, flat tiles and SBR chemicals and labour charges for laying all items of works). Pollachi lime should only be used for preparation of mortar, brick jelly lime concrete etc., The Terrace bricks, flat tiles should got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works. The overall thickness of madras terrace roof laid is to be of 300mm as detailed below. Brick on edge course (I layer) = 75mm Base mortar for laying terrace bricks = 20mm Laying of terrace bricks (II layer) = 25mm Brick jelly lime concrete = 100mm Base mortar for flat tiles = 15mm Laying flat tiles(I course) = 25mm Base mortar for flat tiles (II layer) = 15mm Flat tiles (II course) = 25mm Total thickness = 300mm
Laying of roofing with Old Mangalore tiles over flat tiles set in Lime mortar 1:2 ( one of lime and two of sand) using Pollachi lime in all floors with flat tiles of size 150mm x 150mm x 12mm including Teak wood reepers of size (50mm x 12mm) complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. (The rate includes the cost of all materials like Mangalore tiles, flat tiles, and labour charges for laying of Mangalore tiles with flat tiles roof in position)
Laying of roofing with Mangalore tiles over flat tiles set in Lime mortar 1:2 ( one of lime and two of sand) using Pollachi lime in all floors with flat tiles of size 150mm x 150mm x 12mm including Teak wood reepers of size (50mm x 12mm) complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. (The rate includes the cost of all materials like Mangalore tiles, flat tiles, and labour charges for laying of Mangalore tiles with flat tiles roof in position)
Laying of roofing with Zinc coated plain sheet over the rafters/joists in all floors with one coat primer etc., ( the joints over lap to be not more than over lap 15cm to 20cm ) and including labour for laying the sheets in all position and seal the lap joints etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Finishing the top of roof with one course of machine pressed tiles of size 230mm x 230mm x 20mm of approved quality set in Cement Mortar 1:3 (One Cement and Three M.Sand) 12mm thick mixed with water proofing compound conforming to ISS at 2% by weight of cement used and the joints pointed neatly to full depth of tiles with the same cement mortar mixed with red oxide and water proofing compound including curing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers
Renewing the damaged ornamental cornice around the outer wall cornice portion as per existing style and clues to a height of 0.25m with top and bottom width of 0.28m and 0.08m respectively including removing the brick work and redoing the brick work in lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) and plastering with lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) 30mm thick laid in two layers and finishing with lime mortar 1:1.5 (one lime and one and half sand) 6mm thick (Theeravai) using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Replastering ( base plastering) the brick wall, pillars and arches, etc., with lime mortar 1:2 ( one of lime and two of sand) to a thickness of 30 mm laid in two layers of 15mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Applying thin coat of hand grinded lime mortar paste in lime mortar 1:1.5 (one lime and one and half sand) 6mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors (mix should be with 5.9 kg of jaggery, 2 kg of glue, 1.1 kg of gallnut, 1.4 kg of oakum, 30 nos eggs, 1 litre curd, 3 kg white marble powder, 0.5 kg vajram, 0.06m3 of surki, (for 10 sq.m area) of mugal plastering (Theervai) over the newly plastered surface as per the existing clues (including finishing the surface with smoothness) `etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Replastering the ceiling, etc., with Lime mortar 1:1.5 (one Lime and one and half sand), 20mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors including labour charges, etc., complete complying with standard specifications as directed by the departmental officers.
Revarnishing with old / new wood work with two coats of best melamine varnish of approved quality and brand including preparation of surface etc., in all floors The rate is inclusive the cost of all material, labour charges and finishing neatly etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Painting wood work with two finishing coats of synthetic enamel ready mixed paint of good quality and approved variety and colour over one coat priming coat in all floors including the cost of priming coat etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)
Painting iron works such as steel doors, windows, ventilators, window bars, balustrades etc., with two coats of best approved first quality and colour of synthetic enamel paint over the existing red oxide priming coat in all floors excluding cost of priming coat etc., complete complying with standard specification. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)
White washing three coats of inner walls/ceiling with freshly burnt white shell lime (Pollachi lime) in all floors including cost of lime, blue powder fevicol type gum, brushes, The rate inclusive of cost of all materials and labour charges etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Painting the wall two coats with approved weather proof Exterior Emulsion paint over one primer coat of over cement plastered wall surface ect., complete complying with standard specification.
Laying Brick jelly lime concrete in lime mortar 1:2 ( One lime and two brick jelly ) (no sand to be added) using 20 mm gauge brick jelly for foundation, flooring including dewatering wherever necessary and laid in layers well rammed, consolidated etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Paving the floor with best quality Heritage pattern Cement tile of bharat tiles brand of size 200 x 200 x 20 mm of approved colour, shade and quality laid in cement mortar 1:3 (one cement and three M.Sand) 20mm thick in all floors and the top pointed with the white cement mixed same colour pigments, polishd and leveled etc., got approved by the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work, etc., complete as per standard speicification.
Paving the floor with Cuddapah stone slab of size 600 x 600 of 20 / 30 mm thick in all floors laid in of Cement mortor 1:3 (One Cement and Three M.Sand) and pointed with colour cement neatly. The Cuddapah stone slabs and other materials to be used shall be got approved by the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work, etc., complete as per standard speicification.
Construction of mortar pit of size 0.90m x0.45m with necessary earth work excavation of sand filling 15cm thick, PCC 1:5:10, 8cm thick brick partition wall 11.50cm thick to a height of 60cm with plastering 1:5, 12mm thick on both sides etc complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Providing pest control with antitermite treatment in all floors by drilling holes at junction of walls with floors at 300mm intervals and injecting chemical emulsion on those with cement etc. making holes along the vertical surface outside the walls at 150mm intervals to the depth of 450mm pointing chemical emulsion into the holes and closing holes with chemical etc. spraying all surface of treatment is to be done as per IS code no:5313/ Part III 1981 with approved chemical.(The chemical is to be used on the work should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on work) etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Conveying the debris,dismantled materials from the campus and conveying away the same to outside by lorry to a lead of 3km entirely within the city limit including loading and unloading charges and dumping in low lying areas and levelling neatly etc.,complete complying with standard specification
