CLEANING AND MAINT OF SEWAGE SYSTEM, REPLACEMENT / RENEWAL OF MANHOLES, COVERS / SOAKWELL, REPAIRS TO DRAIN ETC IN ZONE A AND ZONE B AT DAMANA UNDER GE JAMMU

Cleaning and clearing the blockage of sewage lines, of any dia, type and any depth, removing any type of blockage by roding from man holes or by flushing water with pressure pump complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking out of solid / semi solid sludge from existing man holes of any size and any depth and burying the entire sludge / sludge water into excavated pit of adequate size including excavating and covering with earth or disposing off into covered vehicles outside the periphery of defence land to a distance exceeding 1 KM including taking off RCC / iron manholes covers and refixing the same after cleaning complete all as specified and as directed.

Cleaning of blockage of EWC / IWC / urinal / bathroom / kitchen and gully trap and removing of sludge / spoil / waste to a distance exceeding 100 mtr and testing of WC block for proper working after cleaning complete all as specified and as directed.

Note :- For item 1, 2 and 3 Contractor has to provide two sweepers on daily basis for attending day to day complaints and clear blockage in all respects whether in WC, Bathroom, kitchen, gully trap, sewage lines and manholes at any place upto septic tank and soakage well complete. Both the sweepers will report to the complaint cell at 9:00 AM daily except Sundays and Gazetted Holidays and will leave the cantt premises after 5:00 PM. Incase the persons are not provided, Rs 400 per day per person will be recovered. The attendance of the sweepers will be marked at 9:00AM and 5:00PM. The sweepers will be issued complaints by the complaint cell and they will submit the complaints on completion on the same day otherwise Rs 200 per complaint per day will be charged for delay in completion. No T&P will be issued by the department to the sweepers. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to provide adequate T&P including uniform to the sweepers.

Removing the manhole cover (CI or RCC), any type of manhole rectangular / circular and de-watering of septic tanks and soakage wells of any size and depth by means of hydraulic jet pressure machine by plugging inlets as required, making it fully functional to the entire satisfaction of Engineer -in-Charge including carrying the effluent outside the defence land in closed containers and re-instating the manhole cover to its original position complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: - The quoted rates includes for keeping the particular septic tank and soakage well undertaken once for de sludging / de-watering functional for full contract period.

Excavation in trenches n.exc 1.5m wide and n.exc 1.5m in depth for foundation etc and n.exc 10 Sqm on plan and n.exc 1.5 mtr in depth and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.50m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition by breaking up drain pipes (salt glazed stoneware or AC / RCC) 150mm dia jointed in cement mortar and taking out of trenches and removing the debris including concrete bed and haunching from the trenches all as specified and as directed.

M&L rendering 15 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surface fininished even and smooth without using extra cement including mixing of integral water proofing compound in the proportion as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of reinforced cement concrete of any description and in any position (Reinforement cut as required to facilitate demolition) complete all as specified and as directed.

Separating, scrapping and cleaning of reinforcement from RCC obtained in Ser item 20.00 here-in-before complete all as specified and as directed.

Pre-cast RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in manhole cover slab fixed in position including necessary form work and set in CM 1:6 complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L mild steel TMT 10mm dia and over cut to length, bent to shape, required including cranking, bending, spirally for hopping for columns, hooking ends and binding with mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of surface, the surface must be sound & free from dirt, dust & loose particles, thoroughly wire brush the surface & clean the dust, wash the surface with water. Any damage to surface must be repaired by using polymer modified repair mortar with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP. Clean the surface, saturated with water and remove the excess water if any and bring to touch dry state. Applying the first coat of mixed @ .75 sqm/kg, 1mm thick for 2 coats) Dr Fixit Pidifin 2K on the prepared surface & allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours. Prepare another batch of Dr Fixit Pidifin 2K and apply 2nd coat in direction 90° to first coat. Overlay protected screed using cement sand 1:3 along with Dr Fixit LW+ complete all as specified and as directed.

Note: - (ii) Cost of M&L for providing new items including replacement / taking down old existing item shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item.

Note: - (iii) Samples of materials as approved will be kept in GE's sample room. (v) All fittings and fixtures mentioned above will be fixed to the satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge and GE. (vi) Warranty certificate to the Engineer-in-Charge where ever applicable shall be submitted by the Contractor at the time of fittings.
