VEGETATION CLEARANCE OF RUNWAY TAXIWAY AND DISPERSAL SHOULDERS AND CERTAIN MISC WORK FOR CHAKERI AIRFIELD AT AFS KANPUR VEGETATION CLEARANCE OF RUNWAY, TAXIWAY AND DISPERSAL SHOULDERS AND CERTAIN MISC WORK FOR CHAKERI AIRFIELD AT AFS KANPUR

Providing JCB with operator for levelling of the areas or clearing of debris around the Runway/Taxi Track/Runway shoulders and cleaning of the grass/brushes etc where it will not be possible by mechanical/Jungle jeem all as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Providing Dumpers for cleaning of debries by lifting around the Runway/Taxi Track/Runway shoulders and taking away from the runway perimeter by the contractor all as directed by the Engr-in-Charge. Note:- Contractor has to provide necessary breaker and iron cutter if required at site for making the debris portable and no extra payment shall be made in this regard.

Cutting of grass by manually operated bush cutter machine of areas around various sign boards. Installation, post, DTGM and likes where mechanical means cannot be deployed including cleaning away all grass vegetations, sampling shrubs, brushes weeds and roots of trees etc and removing rubbish at low line area exc 200 m from edge of runway / taxiway /dispersal complete all as specified and directed by Engr- In-Charge. Note : (i) Availability of working hours for cutting of grass will depend on Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit . Nothing extra shall be admisible if intermittent working hours for cutting of grass are available due to operational activity. (ii) For three months as directed by ATC unit, the contractor will deploy 03 Nos of bush cutter per day for cutting of grass and there after number of bush cutter to be deployed per day may be increased or decreased as per Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit requirement or as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Cutting of grass/vegetation by tractor with jungle jeem (machnical slasher) where ever required including removing material obtained from cutting up to 100 m from adjoining edge of runway / taxi-way complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- (i) Contractor will deploy his own set-up of tractor with jungle jeem with POL and MT driver for cutting of grass. (ii) For three months as directed by ATC unit, the contractor will deploy 02 Nos tractor with two jungle jeem per day for cutting of grass and there after 01 No tractor with one jungle jeem will be continue for the balance period. The number of tractor to be deployed per day may be increased or decreased as per Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit requirement as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (iv) The Motor/Tractor will be run/operated by person having vehicle licence for heavy vehicle from the state transport authority. (v) Availability of working hours and site for cutting of grass by Jungle jeem will depend on Air Trafic Control (ATC) Unit . Nothing extra shall be admisible if intermittent working hours is available due to operational activity.

Demolition of cement concrete (Unreinforced) of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for and removing the debris to a distance exceeding 1.50 km but not exceeding 5.00 km at the location shown by Engr-In- Charge complete all as specified and directed

Material and labour as per site thick pavement quality cement concrete work in pavement/Dispersal/ taxi link of flexural strength 4.5MPa in field using minimum 400 Kg of cement per cubic metre, mixed with non circular fibre synthetic reinforcement (0.25% of weight of cement or as per manufacturer's instruction), spread and compacted with plate niddle vibrator to thickness 350mm including necessary form work, finishing, belting , curing, brooming, numbering of slab and provn of joints etc complete all as specified and directed. Flexural strength shall be established by beam test and design mix formula should be compatible to as per IRC-44-2008, IS -456. Note :- (a) Non circular fibre synthetic reinforcement is inclusive and should be as per mix design (b) All type of joints shall be measured and paid separately. Curing compound will be applied at the paving stage after broom finish and surface is dry, and rate for use of curing compound shall be incl in quoted rate.. (c) No deduction shall be made from concrete for space occupied by construction and dummy joints. Deduction however be made for space occupied by expansion joints. (d) Minimum cement content per cubic metre of concrete shall be 400 Kg per cum. However actual cement content shall be worked out as per design mix and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. (e) The rate quoted shall be inclusive of use and waste of form work for total thickness. (f) The trial bay will be executed as per above specifications and shall be got approved from GE. The quoted rate shall be deemed inclusive for this provision and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (g) Surface shall be finished by traverse brooming of maximum 1.5 mm deep as per ICAO

M & L cement concrete type C-1, 1:3:6 (20 mm graded stone aggregate) in copings, plinth protection courses, string courses and the like including weathering, rounded or chamfered angles and throating including necessary form work complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of brick work masonry, built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars, etc, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for brick work with sub-class 'B' bricks, straight or curved on plan exc 6 m mean radius built in cement mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed.

M &L for brick work (except bricks) with sub-class 'B' bricks, straight or curved on plan exc 6 m mean radius built in cement mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Old serviceable bricks obtained from demolition shall be reused.
