Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 sqm, exceeding 50mm but not exceeding 100mm deep including removing the materials to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and stacking, complete all as specified and directed.

75mm thick (Compacted thickness) WBM in single layers with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size) pf granite, trap or basalt spreading and compaction with 8 to 12 tonne power roller and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed.

Repair to pot holes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal), complete, all as specified and as directed.

Preparing un-surfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a priming / tack coat on un-surfaced water bound macadam surfaces with paving bitumen primer using bitumen VG-10 paving grade ( 80 -100 penetration) @ 10 Kg per Ten Square Metre with tar boiler and including Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, complete, all as specified and as directed.

Premix bituminous macadam with 4% paving using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) bitumen binder, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness upto maximum 75mm), complete, all as specified and as directed. Note: Repair to pot holes any depth not exc 1 sqm each depression in patch over 50mm, shall also be carried out under this item.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a priming / tack coat on existing black top surfaces with paving bitumen primer using bitumen VG-10 paving grade ( 80 -100 penetration) @ 5 Kg per Ten Square Metre with tar boiler and including Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, complete, all as specified and as directed.

Note for item No. 4 to 6 : (a) Preparation of mix in hot mix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with deployment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. (b) To achieve marshal stability of 1050 KN and all as per SSR Part-I Clause No. 20.B.4. (c) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 60.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.

75mm thick Moorum/red bajri filling in floors or pavings, laid in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed including watering, complete all as specified and directed.

Metal tubular dealineator made out of ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 65 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/50 mm dia mild steel pipe of 600 mm height duly powder coated and thermo plastic elastomer 3 bands of green, red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25 mm wide strips with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including embedding in PCC 1:2:4 (150x150x300mm) type B1 complete all as specified and directed. Note : Cost of PCC and earth work is deemed to be included in unit cost.

Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PMMA striplens reflector of model No. DA-972 fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions., complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.
