REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF STREET LIGHT, SECURITY LIGHT, TARMAC LIGHT, OBSTRUCTION LIGHT AND OTHER ALLIED E/M WORKS AT AF STATION TAMBARAM

Dismantling old and unserviceable Copper/ACSR conductor of any size / including disconnecting from the poles and depositing where directed all as specified and as directed.

S&F ACSR conductor of any size including binding on existing LT/ HT poles or new poles with 02mm dia aluminium binding wire including jumper all as specified and as directed including taking down existing ACSR/Copper conductor.

Taking down the unserviceable any defective street/security light/flood light fitting HPSV/MH of any type, make and wattage from the pole alongwith fixing arrangements complete, upto 400 watt capacity from any height of pole or building, servicing, cleaning thoroughly of the fitting including bracket, arm and pole fixing arrangement. Supply and replace the minor spares such as lamp holder, PVC insulated copper wire with in the fittings screws bolts, nuts washers required to make the fitting serviceable and refixing in position and testing for satisfactory functioning. Note : (a) Spares for HPSV/MH like MH lamp,HPSV lamp CFL lamps, ballast, capacitor, ignitors shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this schedule. All other items of minor spares such as lamp holders, PVC insulated copper conductor cable with in fitting of wiring and necessay bolts and nuts shall deemed to be included in the item rate quoted and no extra payment shall be allowed.

Sl.item No. 3 Contd/.. (b) The contractor has to depute his accredited representative with one electrician once in week or as demanded by department to carry out jointly checking of street/security lights in the entire area under AF Stn Tambaram (Main Camp) to ascertain the serviceability and repairs required. The item is deemed to be inclusive of the same.(c) The rate quoted deemed to included for cleaning of vegitation on the LT pole and Electric supply made available at the point of street light and necessary LT jumpers shall be measured and paid separately. (d) The measurement for payment shall be made as per the actual replacement of accessories.

Sl.item No. 3 Contd/.. (e) No extra cost will be paid to the contractor for T&P and tradesmen as required. (f) Taking down the fittings as required for maintenance for cleaning or minor repairs such as screws wires taking down etc the cost of same is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (g) The contractor shall depute one electrician and two helpers on all working days in MES complaint cell for attending the complaint regarding the street/Security lights. (h) Contractor or his accredited representative is responsible to receieve complaints from JE I/C and feed back of the same after completion of the job on daily basis.

M&L GI Bracket bend to shape in cold or hot, 40mm bore medium grade and 1.50 M long with suitable MS clamps and nuts bolts etc, to fixing street light fittings to top of the poles complete after taking down the unserviceable GI bracket all as specified and as directed.

Supply only single ended elliptical Metal Halide lamp (MH SEE) E-27/E-40 cap 230 V single end threaded type following sizes all as specified and as directed. (a) 250 watts

Supply only low loss copper wounded ballast for Metal Halide/HPSV lamp suitable for 230 Volts, 50 Hz. all as specified and as directed. (a) 250 watts

Supply only ignitor electronic type suitable for 250/150/70 watt metal Halide/HPSV any type of lamp fittings all as specified and as directed.

Supply only two core PVC insulated copper conductor 4.0 sqmm for making connection from light fitting all as specified and as directed.

PVC junction box out door type of size 280 mm x 170 mm x 130 mm with front openable hinged cover complete with two number aluminium bus bars mounted on porcelain insulator including clamps of MS flat iron 25 x 3 mm with bolts and nuts to fixed on pole/wall incl taking down of old unserviceable all as specified and as directed. (Make: SINTEX or equivallent approved make)

Supply and fix in replacement Time switch (24 Hour analog time swith (SST*-30 min), Model No DHTED30016 of Make:- Havells, for street light including making connection all as directed.

Solid state electronic type Aviation obstruction light fittings with lamp of minimum 302 LED with cast aluminium alloy poly carbonate red colour and connecting up and testing complete on top of the hill/tower/over head reservior and other high rise buildings all as directed by Engr-in-charge. (Note: Deployment of technicians to climb up/down for repair/replacement works with proper safety eqpts is the responsiblity of the contractor)

Taking down old serviceable conductors any description and re-stringing/ tightening of ACSR conductor (size- squirrel/ weasel/ ferret) / GI earth continuity conductor/ cradle up to the permissible sag limit between any span length and binding the with new binding wire of the same materiel to insulators all as specified and as directed. Approximate span between poles are 30 to 60m.

Taking out the existing any description of LT UG cable and find out the fault and re-laying of the same LT UG cable 1100 Volts grade PVC insulated PVC sheathed amoured, heavy duty, in trenches/walls/poles/passing through pipes with multistranded aluminium conductor including lugs/thimble/ferrules connection, testing and commissioning complete all as specified. Note: [i] Earth work, excavation sand cusioning, bricks for protection, GI pipe, LT UG Cable Joints etc shall be measured separately under relevant items of this schedule . [ii] If old LT UG cable will found unserviceable, if requirted LT U/G cable shall be mesaured and paid as Supply and Laying of LT UG cable under relevant items of this schedule. [a] 10 sqmm to 25 sqmm 2/4 core

Supply and Laying LT UG cable 1100 Volts grade XLPE insulated PVC sheathed amoured, heavy duty, in trenches/walls/poles/passing through pipes with multistranded aluminium conductor including lugs/thimble/ferules connection, testing and commissioning complete including taking out old unserviceable UG cable for the following sizes. Note: [i] Earth work, excavation sand cusioning, bricks for protection, GI pipe etc shall be measured separately under relevant items of this schedule . [a] 10 sqmm 2 core

[b] 16 sqmm 4 core

[b] 25 sqmm 3.50 core

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 mtr deep and not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide and getting out in hard/dense soil for all as specified and as directed.

Returning filling in leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick all as specified and as directed.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point.

Sand filling in trenches above and below the cable as in cable protection. NOTE:- Punned thickness shall be measured and paid.

M & L Brick protection to cable using old size sub class 'B' bricks, laid flat, dry butt jointed, laid lengthwise perpendicular to the axis of cable all as specified as directed.

Relaying of old serviceable bricks of any size removed from old cable trenches laid across trenches for cable protection all as directed.

M & L Straight through joints suitable for 3.5/4 core PVC insulated and PVC sheathed armoured LT underground cable with aluminium conductors including joint kits and labour complete for making joints all as specified and as directed for following : - (a) 3.5/4 core cable 6 to 16 Sq mm.

(b) 3.5/4 core cable 25-50 Sq mm
