SS Structural Member Fabrication (FIM): Handling, transportation, fabrication, surface treatment and erection of pipe supports / C-Channel / Angle structural members, etc made from AISI 304L stainless steel plates supplied by Department as Free issue material (FIM) as per Drawing. The item rate includes i) Collecting the Stainless Steel 304L quality materials such as plates/sheets of thickness upto 6mm as per drawing from department stores. ii) Forming / Fabrication / cutting / drilling or punching of holes, etc in stainless steel members like C-channels , angles, pipe support plate, etc of various sizes as required as per approved drawings, LPE and local passivation of formed area. iii) Fabrication and erection of pipe supports/structural members/Half-cut sleeves, etc as per approved drawings and all associated weldings of structural members/pipe support plates, etc using GTAW process with argon gas for shielding using ER 308L filler wire, followed by site installation as per approved procedure and drawing. iv) All the weld joints shall be subjected to LPE on final pass and local passivated as per approved procedure v) all the structural members shall be subjected to surface treatment as per approved procedure prior to erection at site.
Pressure Testing: Pneumatic testing of pipe lines as per specifications given in the tender. (Each Line from start to end is considered as one number)
Pipe EP Pressure Testing: Pneumatic testing of Embedded pipes as per specifications given in the tender. This includes chipping, cleaning, DM water flow test, ball test, choke removal, integrity testing, local passivation of exposed surface, refixing & welding of dummies after testing, etc.
Embedded pipe Dummy welding: Handling, transportation, surface treatment, fabrication and erection of dummy plate made from free issue material (FIM) using 3 to 6mm thick SS304L plate / sheet and fillet / Groove fillet welding with the SS304L pipe ends. Welding shall be carreid out using GTAW process with argon gas for shielding & purging followed by LPE and local passivation of weld joints.
Radiography Examination: X-ray / Gamma ray examination of butt welded pipe joints as per the technical specifications of the tender using conventional X-ray machine / Gamma ray source as per approved procedure. The supply of X-ray machine, film, dark room facility, consumables for film washing, skilled and unskilled personnel are under the scope of the contractor. Sizes of pipe joint: 8NB to 50NB.
Tank Erection: Handling, Transportation, shifting of SS Tanks from Storage Yard to Block-2 Tank area, loading, unloading, lifting & lowering to EL(+) 7.0 m Lvl from 14.0m Lvl, skidding, cleaning of SS EPs and tank support base plate. Cutting, preparation & introducing shim from FIM plates of various sizes & thickness in gaps if any, Erection, Leveling & Alignment of the following tanks as per the detailed scope of work given in Technical specification of tender document. Removal of concrete hatch blocks and erection of tanks by erecting temporary monorail hoist or A-frame hoist is in the scope of contractor.
Tank erection in Block-2 Tank Area (RCAT 125 Annular Tank), 1.24m dia x 0.7m long and 0.157 Cu.M with weight of 450kg approx. (Total 16 tanks)
Tank erection in Block-2 Tank Area (RCAT 500 Annular Tank), 1.4m dia x 2.5m long and 0.625 Cu.M with weight of 1350kg approx. (Total 6 tanks)
Tank erection in Block-2 Tank Area (RCVC 2000 Cylindrical Tank), 1.26m dia x 1.9m long and 2.328 Cu.M with weight of 950 kg approx. (Total 9 tanks)
Surface Treatment of Stored Tanks: Handling, lifting & transportation to convenient location using hydra crane, surface preparation, pre-cleaning, degreasing, acid cleaning by continuous swabbing or pouring method and preservation or covering of SS Tanks as per technical specification. This includes identifying of surface contaminations like corrosion, rust, dirt, etc and cleaning using aluminum oxide sander wheel / emery paper / SS wire brush, etc without reduction of base material thickness. The necessary SS tray or tarpaulin sheet for collection of acid, DM water for washing and its safe disposal are in the scope of contractor.

Tank support welding: GTA Welding (Fillet weld) of SS 304L upto 16mm thk base plate of Tank to the embedded SS EP plate using ER 308L filler wire. Welding shall be carried out with Argon for shielding followed by LP examination (LPE) for root & Final pass of weld joints and DM water cleaning. Rate shall be inclusive of LPE and DM water cleaning of weld joints. This Includes Equipment leg welding.
Tank Lug to support member welding - 4mm Fillet welding
Tank base plate to SS EP on floor - 12mm Fillet welding
Stainless Steel Lining works (wall & floor): Handling, transportation of free issue stainless steel sheets of 304L quality (3 mm thick), marking, cutting, bending, forming, including cutouts wherever required, fabrication of liner matching to the embedded grid structure in the specified area of wall & floor followed by surface treatment of liner prior to installation of the same over the embedded grid structure as per approved drawings. The scope also includes cutting of temporary blinds in the pipe EPs. The scope of work under this item is excluding welding. The work includes levelling of concrete surface, viz. minor chipping, plastering, finishing works, etc, if required to get acceptable flatness prior to installation of liner sheets. Please note that quantity of work will be measured as area of liner erected and welded at site.
Stainless Steel Lining works (wall-wall corner and wall-floor corner): Handling, transportation of free issue stainless steel sheets of 304L quality (3 mm thick), marking, cutting, bending, forming, including cutouts wherever required, fabrication of liner matching to the embedded grid structure in the specified area of wall-wall corner and wall-floor corner followed by surface treatment of liner prior to installation of the same over the embedded grid structure as per approved drawings. The scope also includes cutting of temporary blinds in the pipe EPs. The scope of work under this item is excluding welding.The lining of wall-wall corner and wall-floor corner which require additional processing of cold bending at shop floor by pressing with suitable die. The bend surface shall be tested by LPE and passivated. The work includes levelling of concrete surface, viz. minor chipping, plastering, finishing works, etc, if required to get acceptable flatness prior to installation of liner sheets. Please note that quantity of work will be measured as area of liner erected and welded at site.
Stainless Steel Lining works (wall-wall-floor corner piece): Handling, transportation of free issue stainless steel sheets of 304L quality (3 mm thick), marking, cutting, bending, forming & fabrication of liner matching to the embedded grid structure in the specified area of wall-wall-floor corner (two types) followed by surface treatment of liner prior to installation of the same over the embedded grid structure as per approved drawings. The lining of wall-wall-floor corner areas which require additonal processing of cold bending at shop floor by pressing with suitable die and subsequent butt welding of three bent pieces together by GTAW process at shop floor prior to fixing the corner plate at site with liner grid. The bent surfacs are to be tested by LPE and passivated. The scope of work includes root pass LPE, Final Pass LPE, 100% X-Ray radiography and local passivation of weld joints.
Disimilar Butt weld joints: GTA Welding of stainless steel sheet of 304L quality 3 mm thick with the embedded carbon steel grid works to liner sheets. Stainless steel to carbon steel dissimilar welding using ER 309L filler wire shall be carried out using argon gas for shielding followed by LP examination (LPE) and local passivation of weld joints.
Similar Butt weld joints: GTA Welding of stainless steel sheet of 304L quality 3 mm thick with stainless steel using ER 308 L filler wire shall be carried out using argon gas for shielding followed by LP examination (LPE) and local passivation of weld joints.
Disimilar Fillet weld joints: GTA Welding of stainless steel sheet of 304L quality 3 mm thick with the embedded carbon steel grid works. Stainless steel to carbon steel dissimilar welding using ER 309L filler wire shall be carried out using argon gas for shielding followed by LP examination (LPE) of weld joints.
Similar Fillet weld joints: GTA Welding of stainless steel sheet of 304L quality 3 mm thick with stainless steel EP, etc using ER 308 L filler wire shall be carried out using argon gas for shielding followed by LP examination (LPE) and local passivation of weld joints.
Drilling of 10 mm dia hole in the liner sheet and plug welding with the carbon steel embedded parts using ER 309L filler wire.
Vacuum box leak testing of the Run weld joints as per approved procedure.
Vacuum box leak testing of the Plug weld joints as per approved procedure.
Preparation of Vertical & Horizontal concrete surface for fixing SS liner of 3mm thick over the embedded grid structure in the specified areas using portable concrete surface grinders with diamond tools for hard concrete without chisel and hammer as per specification.
