Part - 1 1. Improvements to the Road from MRL09 AT road to Valarpuram Limit up to Moodur Km 0/000 - 2/500 in Tiruvalangadu Block

Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting wild vegetation,grass ,bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees of girth upto 300mm, removal of stumps of such trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, upto a lead of 1000m including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150 mm in thickness as per MORD Technical Specification Clause 201.

Scarifying the existing bituminous road surface to a depth of 150mm and disposal of scarified material with a lift upto 3m and lead upto 1000m as per Technical specification Cluase 301.4

Excavation for road work in soil with hudraulic excavator of 0.9 cum bucket capacity inclucing cutting and loading in tippers, timming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross-sections, and transporting to the embankment location with a lift upto 1.5m and jead upto 1000m as per Technical Specification Clause 302.3

Construction of embankment with approved materials deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5 (Filling with Cut Earth)

Construction of subgrade and earthen shoulders with approved material obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of Table 300.2 with lead upto 1000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 303.1 (Carted Earth)

Construction of embankment with approved materials deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5 (Gravel shoulder)

Control Section WET MIX MACADAM Providing and laying spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to Wet Mix Macadam(WMM) specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed material by tipper to site laying in uniform layers 150mm thick with pavers in Sub Base/Base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density including cost of material, labour charges, rentals for machinery, fuel and all other incidental charges etc., complete.

Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion (SS-1) on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70-1.0 kg/sqm using mechanical means as per Technical Specification Clause 502

Providing and applying tack coat with Bitumen emulsion (RS-1) using emulsion distributor at the rate of 0.25 to 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared granular surface treated with Primer cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical Specification Clause 503.

Providing, laying and rolling of open-graded premix carpet of 20 mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm to 5.6 mm aggregates either using penetration grade bitumen or emulsion to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 80-100 kN static roller capacity, finished to required level and grades to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B or Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 508.

Providing and laying seal coat sealing the voids in a bituminous surface laid to the specified levels, grade and cross fall using Type A, Type B and Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 510

NEW TECHNOLOGY

Construction of Stablizwd Gravel / aggregate Sub- Base & Base Grading B Construction of Sub base & Base by way of using blended material comprising of 60% available soil of CBR >5; 40%GSB material, Grade B 3% cement by weight of soil; 1kg of Terrasil or Equivalent per cum & 1kg of Zycobond or Equivalent per cum; mechanically blended using a Rotavator at Optimum Moisture Content; aid in two layers of Equivalent Depth each and duly compacted with Static Roller Includingmaintaining the camber as per specifications. Complete job, finished work to be measured. (ref:MORD sl.no.4 11 - (i) page no.4 -20)

Grit Layer of 50mm Thick with 13.2mm down Size Aggregate Construction of 50mm compacted Girt layer by way of using blended material comprising of Aggregates of 13.2mm @20%;11.2mm nominal size @20%; crushed stone Chipping 6.7mm size 100%passing 9.5mm seive and retained on 2.36mm sieve@20% & crushed sand or Grit passing 2.36mm sieve and retained on 180 micron sieve @40% duly mixed with potable water duly compacted with vibratory roller including maintaining the camber as per specifications. complete job, finished work to be measured.

Waterproofing of the shoulder surface by spraying 1kg of Terrasil or Equivalent and 1kg of Zycobond or Equivalent in the ratio of 1:1:200 with Potable Water and spraying on the surface @ 3ltrs / sqm and compacting with a static roller. Complete job

Primer Coat with Cationic Bitumen Emulsion(Grade CSS -1 ) Providing and applying primer coat with cationic bitumen emulsion (water based) modified with Nanotechnology based Penetrative Reactive Water - soluble Organosilane material (forming water clear solution) qualifying as per the test, on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and prime coat - mix made using 100 part Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (Grade CSS -1) and 200 parts of Nanotechnology Solution (1kg Terraprime :200 liter water (< 1000ppm TDS) and spraying at the rate of 1.35kg/sqm using mechincal means as per Techincal Specification.

20mm thick Open - Graded Permix Carpet using Bituminous (penetration grade / modified bitumen) Binder with ZycoTherm Providing, laying and rolling of 20mm thick open - graded Permix Carpet using Bituminous (penetration grade / modified bitumen)Binder with Nanotechnology based Organosilane Reactive aggregate modifier material qaulifying as per the test at the rate of 1 kg per 1 ton of binder. SEAL COAT ( Binder with ZycoTherm) Providing and Laying of Seal coat modified with Nanotechnology based Organosilane Reactive Aggregate modifier material qualifying as per the test at the rate 1kg per 1 ton of binder and sealing the voids in a bituminous surface laid to the specified levels, grade and cross fall using Type A, Type B and Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 510

Provision of Rumble strips with premix Bituminous carpet: Provision of 15 nos rumble strips covered with premix bituminous carpet, 15-20 mm high at centre, 250mm wide placed at 1 m centre to centre at approved locations to control speed, marked with white strips of road making paints.

Kilometre Stone: RCC M15 grade kilometer stone / local stone of standard design as per IRC:8 fixing in position including painting and printing , etc as per drawing and technical Specification clause 1703.

Supplying and Fabricating and placing in position MS steel or Ribbed Tor Steel for all Reinforced Cement Concrete works as per the design given including cost of steel and binding wire in all floors etc, Complete complying with stanard specification.(MS rod or RTS bar will be supplied departmentally at section stores and cost will be recoverd at issue rate). the binding wire shall supplied by the contactor.

Providing and fixing 20mm thick Compressible fiber board t for expansion joint Between Dirtwall &Deck slab

Providing and fixing Tar Paper for bearing Between Bed Block & Deck slab

Providing weepholes in brick masonry/stone masonry, plain/reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall, return wall with 100 mm dia AC pipe extending through the full width of the structures with slope of 1(V):20(H) towards drawing face complete as per drawing and technical specification Clauses 614, 709, 1204.3.7

Gravel filling between body wall including cost and conveyance of gravel, labour for filling, watering and compacting etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officer.

Routine Maintenance after completion of work the road sufrace and shoulder to be maintained in proper condition to make them free from excessive edge drop offs, roughness, scouring and pot holes and cleaning of surface drain including culverts for frre flow of water. Relettering name boards and K.M & H.M stone and other maintenance operation required to keep the road traffic worthly at all the time for the maintenance period for the following years. As per General condition of contract para 32.2.2
