SUB SOIL INVESIGATION : Sub soil investigation as per IS: 1892-1979 (Reaffirmed 2021) including laboratory testing of soil samples for its all characteristics as per relevant IS codes including value of cohesion and angle of internal friction of soil giving bore log chart showing depth of soil strata/profile. SBC shall be based on N values, shear and settlement criteria. SPT shall be carried out for every changes in stratum or at intervals not more than 1.0m whichever is less. Depth of investigation shall be 15.00m or till refusal or N value reaches 50 wherever is earlier for each isolated, conbined/raft foundation. Soil investigation report for each bore hole tested and duly compiling summary of SBC recommended for various buildings in all respect shall be submitted in four folders. Depth of water table (maximum & minimum) shall be given. Design parameters for soil investigation are mentioned in terms . The soil investigation reprot shall be include the liquefaction potential of the soil. If the 'N' valuecomes out to be less than 15, the measures to be taken wet the liquefaction potential & settlement of foundation should be incorporated as per reievant code.

Grain size analysis, identification & Classification of soil.

Unit weight (bulk density), natural mositure content liquid limit, plastic limit, shrinkage limit, plasticily index, specific gravity.

Dry density, degree of saturaton of soil.

Free swelling index & swelling pressure if expansive

Shear parameters (C-P Anlysis).

Consolidation test & permeability test.

Chemical analysis of soil and recommendation and type of cement to be used for RCC foundation and ground water (water to be obtained)

Depth of water table below ground level

Presence of loose soil, if any and its depth

If weak soil with lasser N value as specification in table 1 of IS 1893 (Part) 2016 is encountered then evaluation of liquefaction potential shal be assessed and remedical action to be adopted shall be specified

Undisturbed soil sample shall be collected at 1.5 m interval and at change of strata

Bore hole dia shall be 150mm and Depth of bore shall be decided as per the soil condition and may be taken 15m or N value reaches 50 which ever is earlier. Houwever depth of bore holes may be taken as 25m for pile foundation.

SPT Test shall be done at 1.0 m interval

Crushing strength, degree of weathering (CR value) and RQD of rock Samples

As per IS-1892 clause 3.6.5.3. drilling for 3.0m depth inside the rock is essential to ensure the boulders or layers of cemented soil are not mistaken for rock

For open foundartion, calculation of net SBC at 1.5m, 2.5m, 3.0m from shear as well as settlement criterla, SBC value shall be calculated based on C-P analysis as well as SPT value. For calculation formujla given in IS 6403 shall be used.

Recommendedation regarding type of fondation to be adopted & net SBC pile capcity to be adopte. Also recommendation shall be given regarding stability of soil and soil stablization required, if any.

Borehoel position duly marked on plan and their distance from adjacent promilnent reterence points. Plan size of the bldgs shall also be marked in the plan this plan shall be signed by GE, AGE & soil condultant.

Bore log details shall be as per Appx 'D' of IS 1892. (Re formed 2021) N values depthwise shall also be shown in bore log details bore log details shall besigned by GE, AGE and Soil consultant.

Colour photograph on A4 size photo paper of the site with the loctions of the boreholes duly marked shoul be submitted. The potographs shold also preferably include any reference structure and the indentification on the same be maked, and be submitted as 04 sets attached with soil testing report foolders.

Note : A CD containing video evidence of the depth of each bore hole and machinery depolyed at site location be submited as sets.
