Note :- (i) Flanges to be provided at every 6 m length of plain end pipe or shorter length as directed by Engineer-in- Charge. Flange will be welded to the GI pipe and gasket to be provided between two flanges and will be fixed with 04 Nos of nuts and bolts (M16 Type) at each jointing. Flanges will be of IS-6392 specifications. The cost of flanges, nuts & bolts, gaskets and connecting of flanges to pipeline by welding will be deemed to be included in the quoted item rate. (ii) All standard fittings such as bends (any type, radius or angle), tapers any type (straight, bend, increasing, decreasing or double socket etc) TEE pieces single branch, 'Y' Junction, double branch, cross collars, cap and plugs, MS flanges complete bends, TEE pieces, collars, elbow, tail piece etc jointing are deemed to be included in the quoted item rate. Make of fittings - ISI marked.

(iii) Jointing of pipe line will be done through flanging only and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (iv) Excavation and earthwork will be measured and paid separately. (v) Any special fittings to be fabricated at site as per typical site condition will be measured and paid seprately. (vi) Welding of flanges to be done by trained personnels at site and included in the quoted rate for normal flange joints for nominal length of pipes. However if the welding of pipes (other than normal flanged joint at nominal length) is required the same shall be measured and paid separately. (vii) Execution of work should be carried out without hampering the daily routine water supply.

Supply & fixing GI pipes of size 100 mm dia, medium grade, galvanized with all fitting such as bends, tees, nipples, union and sockets, clamps etc laid in trenches, under floor/walls etc, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Note:- (i) Contractor fully responsible for necessory excavation for jointing work required T&P equipment, mechanical excavation work and man power at site requirement with making good disturbed surfaces of road/wall/floor etc and matching with existing surface included quoted rate. M&L for repair to leaking GI pipe line of size 80 mm bore by providing necessary fitting such as socket, Tee, Elbow,etc including necessary excavation, returning filling in trenches in any type of soil,bailing out water, and any depth, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
