REPAIR / REPLACEMENT AND MAINT TO UNSERVICEABLE DISTRIBUTION PIPE LINES INCLUDING CONNECTED WORKS AT AFA HYDERABAD

M&L for attending repair/rectification of external water supply complaints of GI/CI/DI pipe lines, Sluice valves of any type and size, no water supply and other water related complaints including transportation from complaint cell to complaint locations and back to complaint cell along with necessary T&P with provision of tightening of loose joints of union, elbow,sockets etc, cutting /threading and making joints and cleaning for any blockages, opening of float valve of service tanks, cleaning and fixing the same in its position, including taking down old unserviceable GI pipe and replacement of GI Pipes/union/sockets/nipples etc as required at site for following type of complaints all as specified and directed for:-.

(a) GI tubing upto 25 mm

(b) GI tubing 40mm bore to 50 mm bore

(c) GI tubing 80mm bore to 100 mm bore

M&L for attending break down of CI/DI/MS pipe line of 380mm dia bursting / cracks and including cleaning / removal of broken pipe pieces of various lengths through gas cutting / manual cutting as per site requirement and including taking out damaged part of pipes and replaceing with new MS/DI pipes, inserting necessary Specials of CI / DI such as Collar/bends/tail piece/mechanical Joints etc as per site requirement, testing for leakages of lead joints, testing and dewatering by using necessary dewatering pumps, earth work in any type of soil by manual or using special T&P such as JCB's, Cranes complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge for :-

(a) pipe line of 150 to 300mm dia.

(b) pipe line of 80 to 100mm dia.

Notes for Sl Item No 1 to 7 : (a) The contractor will be allotted complaints at MES complaint cell on requirement basis on all working days including Sunday and Holidays and sufficient tradesman/resources will be deployed by him for completion of day to day complaints within 12 hours from the time of reporting. Any delay beyond above mentioned time limit witout intimation of genuine cause, panalities will be recovered twice of the quoted rate for each un-attended complaint.

(b) A detailed log book of complaints with completion/non completion remarks from users/MES will be maintained by the contractor and the same will be updated on daily basis in consulation with JE E&M/Engineer-in-Charge. (c) The contractor will make suitable arrangement for emergency complaints and will notify JE EM/ Engineer-in-Charge about extraordinary circumstances for probable non-completion or delay in rectification of complaints beyond stated time limt set for disposal of complaints.

(d) The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of transportation and other expenses required for the resources deployed at the complaint site. (e) The cost of damaged roads, LT UG/HT cables, existing structure etc shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate and no extra payments shall be allowed on this account. (f) Necessary Excavation of earth work/GI special/CI/DI Specials/Mechinical joints/GI/DI/MS pipes etc shall be measured and paid under respective items of Schedule.

Supply only DI (ductile iron) pipes , Class K-7, spigot and socketed ends, of size 380mm conforming to IS- 8329:2000 in any length, laid in trenches including jointing materials such as rubber tyton joints complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Demolition of Cement Concrete of any description and in any position etc and removing debris to a distance off the premises complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for PCC 1:3:6, type C1 (using 20 mm graded granite stone aggregate) in coping, bed plates, etc., including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating, necessary form work complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition/Cutting of road/PCC (unreinforced)/ hard standing for taking out the damaged pipe etc complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr in Charge

Demolition of Brickwork or stone/boulder masonry,Pre cast block masonry built in cement motor including all quoins, arches, pillars,etc, but excluding ashlar facings, dressed stonework and precast concrete articles all as specified and directed.

M&L for Pre-cast cement concrete block masonary with solid blocks, Type C1 1:3:6 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) exc 10 cm in width and setting in mortor/complete set in cement mortar 1:6 all as specified and directed.

Rendering 10 mm thick on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces , finished even and smooth without using extra cement in cement mortar 1:6 complete all as directed.

M& L Construction of PCC block masonry valve chamber of size 1200x1200x1200mm internal size with wall thickness 300mm in cement mortar 1:6 including base concrete (1:4:8) type D2, plastering with cement mortar 1:6 including provision of MS sheet of 3 mm thickness complete with locking arrangement with 7 lever lock (01 Nos), lifting handle all as specified in Drg No. AFB/TD/056 Sht 1/2 & 2/2 incl demolition of existing damaged Valve Chamber all as directed. Note: The item rate is deemed to be including excavation and earth work RFR and plastering in CM 1:4 all as specified and directed by engineering in charge.

S&F in repairs Cast iron specials such as bends, collar and Tee etc any type as per site requirement all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : The necessary earth work, excavation, will be measured and paid seperately

S & F in repairs for MS connecting pieces one end flanged and other end spigot/ socket reducers/bell mouth pieces, bends,tapers any type and radius and angle , tee pieces single branch 'Y' junction double branch one end flanged and other end socket ,all ends socket, all ends flanged etc of size upto 400mm made out of MS plate 12mm thick all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

S&F DI specials such as bends, collar and Tee etc any type as per site requirement in repairs complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : The necessary earth work, excavation, will be measured and paid seperately .

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide and not exceeding 1.5 mtr in depth for laying of pipe, etc and getting out in hard/dense soil all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Excavation in trenches exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 3.0 m in depth in hard and dense soil and getting out including forming of bootom surface to required level and gradient all as specified and directed

Returning, filling in trenches including spreading leveling, watering and ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Removing the surplus soil to a distance exceeding 50 metres and not exceeding 250 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metres above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

S&F of MS covers including supply and fix in repairs 4 mm thick MS cover double door type welded to angle iron frame of size 40 x 40 x 6 mm thick incl lifting hooks and locking arrangements of size 1 x 1 M complete and fixing in concrete with anchor fasteners and applying two coats of coat tar epoxy paint over one coat of red oxide primer including taking down existing corroed cover complete all as specified and directed.
