Mechanical works to be carried in delivery pipe and allied works at Water Supply Scheme Pokhribal Stage 2nd

A) Replacement of Damaged DN 250 DI sluice valve in the delivery pipe of pumping unit no. 1 by way of fitting available DN 250 DI sluice valve. The job includes cutting of 250mm delivery pipe using oxy-acetylene gas cutter as per the size of the valve to ensure its proper fitting, as the new valve is of larger size. Then grinding shall be done for beveling. The job also includes providing, fitting and welding of 16mm thick, 250mm dia MS flange on the pipe end, nuts, bolts and gaskets for ensuring leak proof joint with application of one coat of primer and two coats of enamel paint so that no portion of delivery pipe at the area of repair/ replacement is left exposed. The job also includes providing, fitting and testing of 0.75” ball valves (03 Nos.) in the pumping system. The successful testing of the replaced sluice valve on full load is included in the job. B) Arresting of leakage in delivery pipe outside the pump house over the cracked portion to ensure leak proof system. The job also includes carrying out necessary grinding at the cracked portion to expose the bare metal by removing paint, dirt etc., welding in at least two runs to ensure complete plugging of the leakage. The job also includes application of primer one coat and two coats of enamel paint to the repaired area.
