Excavation for Roadway Mechanical means and Disposal up to 1000 metres : Excavation for roadwork in soil by mechanical means including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections, and transporting to the embankment location within all lifts and lead up to 1000m as per technical clause 301 of MORT&H specifications. (HSR 17.10.1)

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work below plinth level and up to Floor IV level: 1 : 1 ½: 3 ( 1 Cement: 1 ½ coarse sand (zone-Ill) : 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) (HSR 6.1.1)

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work below plinth level and up to Floor IV level: 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-Ill) : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) (HSR 6.1.2)

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work below plinth level and up to Floor IV level: 1 :4: 8 ( 1 Cement : 4 coarse sand (zone-Ill) : 8 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size) (HSR 6.1.6)

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work below plinth level and up to Floor IV level: 1:5:10 (1 cement : 5 fine sand : 10 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size) (HSR 6.1.8)

Brick work with common burnt clay non-modular bricks of class designation 7.5 in foundation and plinth in: Cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand) (HSR 7.21.1)

Steel reinforcement for R.C.C. work, where not included in the complete rate of RCC, including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position, binding, wastage, overlaps, welded joints, spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire etc. complete in all respect below plinth level Note:- Reinforcement shall be measured in length including hooks, if any, separately for different diameters as actually used in work , excluding overlaps. Wastage, overlaps, couplings, welded joints, spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire or other methods of binding & placing shall not be measured and cost of these items shall be deemed to be included in the rates for reinforcement.(HSR 6.33.3)

Cement pointing 1 :2 on lining : In bed (HSR 14.23.1)

12 mm cement plaster of mix : 1 :4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand) (HSR 11.5.3) Note:- In case of any difference in the unit & nomenclature of any of the HSR items depicted in this DNIT and that given in HSR. the unit and nomenclature given in HSR Shall be applicable. ii) In case of any difference in the unit of any Non- schedule items depicted in this DNIT and the Conventional unit of that N.S Item as per practice in this department the conventional unit as per practice shall be applicable.
